Title: Going to class after an exam
Post by: ScoobyDoo on 2007 March 28, 02:37:46
I've got a question, I couldn't find the answers with the search.  Is there a hack/mod/patch that disables class for the rest of the day after taking an exam? Theres nothing worse than getting the poor simies home after a hard two hour exam and then they end up having to go to class!

You could turn free will off.  Then the "go to class" icon won't be pushed into their queue.  If you want free will on, you could turn it back on after their class time has started.

Or you could cancel the "go to class" icon if it is pushed into the queue.

Yes am aware of that.... guess that might be the only way to do it.  They'll just have to research some more to bring their grade up LOL

HARD? How is the exam HARD? The exam is indistinguishable from class in the first place, and class is one of the best grade-point boosts, because it has no associated motive drain, unlike study or research. Poppycock, I tell you.

Yeah, I bet those Sim U professors are the kind that even bring donuts and candy to the exams.

Considering the amount of student woohoo they usually get, that's the least they could do. ;)

Well I'm thankful I'm not a sim then LOL

After battling a real life hard final... vola, your late for class  ::) HAHA
Plus no days off (Sat/Sun) or breaks between grades.

Well I was hoping to give them some peace for a while, they barely have enough time to get to know each other LOL

How on earth are you running out of time at uni?   :o

I can have a dorm full of 8 sims, they all get a 4.0GPA, they all are best friends with each other, and they all get sent to exams early.  And no cheating.

Someone seems entirely un-awesome here.

I'm very un-awesome, and I get bored with six sims at uni...

And I was thinking you were tired of that!  You removed it from the newsbox, finally!

No, I will not die.

I never bother with more than two sims at one time in uni.
I don't think I've ever had a sim graduate with less than 4.0.  Uni is way too easy, and way too dull.  The only reason I even bother with it is for the extra want slots, and I don't cheat.

Ahhh think I found a quick way, get them all to do the term paper done ASP, forget the homework.  Afterwards it's pretty much smooth sailing.  :D  If their grade bar is a bit low by the end of the semister, research a bit and vola.

Currently I've got 6 seniors and 5 freshmen, their all good friends/dates with each other and 4.0.  Now I can deal with their wants more.  One already hit their lifetime wants.

Naw, it's still there.

No, I will not die.
Yes, well, show up and receive your rightful Netrekky pummellings, then. Stupid Ness.

Maybe I'm imagining it, but I don't see 'Death to all Nesses' in the newsbox.

The quickest way to max out the college bar is to influence a dormie to do your term paper, and then before the dormie finishes it, go to another computer and start writing a term paper of your own.  You'll get double credit.
In fact, you can do it with multiple dormies, just make sure the first one actually sits down and starts the paper before asking another, or they'll both run for the same machine and one will just stand there complaining, and you'll lose those influence points.

It's not a cheat, it's an exploit, but I still don't do it.

No. Everything after the ‘Lythdans’ thing is grey-on-grey and thus invisible.

Well, it's good to see that the newsbox is inaccurate.

Yeah, I bet those Sim U professors are the kind that even bring donuts and candy to the exams.

My experience is that the professors who bring food to exams give the toughest exams. Being nice to students isn't incompatible with teaching a challenging class.

Being a Sim is, though.

Well, let's hope it wasn't a French exam.  Is this a good time to mention Pescado's promised-but-not-yet-delivered harder grades hack for Uni and how much I'd like it?  Or did I miss a posting?   ;D
