I know I saw a hack some time ago that would take away the big dust cloud that appears when Sims fight, I think on MTS2, but I can't find it now. Anybody know if it's still available anywhere?

The person who made the hack removed them all from MTS2. Eddie something or other. Because he sucks :P

I fiddled with the graphics a few months ago and the fight cloud disappeared...I couldn't wait to put it back to normal, because the fight cloud seems to cover the horrendous graphics.  I don't think Maxis put to much thought into the fight scene, minus cloud... ???

That's probably the point of the fight cloud, yes.

Yes, kind of like watching woohoo without the sheets. Scary stuff that.

I had to blink :o when I saw half a body, (assuming the other half was stuck throught the floor); fighting half a body....Not a pretty sight :P
Keep the cloud!!

I got rid of the cloud because it makes my game insanely slow. Without it, fighting is good fun. I hate the sink into ground part of the fights too though. This eddy person also made a no-sink-into-ground-while-fighting hack, but took it down before I could grab it.

He's so not awesome :P

MAybe I'll look into what causes the fight ball to lag and see if it can be reduced.

I rather liked the "no sink into the ground" hack, since it made fights a lot shorter.
Why is it gone?

Yeah, the no cloud and no sink hacks made the fights last an insanely short period of time.

I didn't think it caused that much lag. My computer sucks and it goes fine.

Then again, I have a great graphics card. (Just the CPU is the bottleneck.)

My problem is that the huge dust cloud obscures the whole freakin' room and I can't get pictures of anything in there while a fight is going on.  I want a picture of the horrified/cheering onlookers, but the dust is in the way.  Also, half-sims fighting sounds hilarious.  :P

I have the same problem.  The dust cloud makes it hard to take pictures.  I've downloaded the hack.  Thanks liegenschonheit!  I can put this in the game when I want to take photos, but leave it out other times.

For me, the dust clouds just make my game run insanely slow. It didn't become a problem until after Nightlife, I think, but now if I have the cloud and two sims start fighting, it lags to a point where I can't do anything. So it may look stupid when they fight without the cloud, but it is better than the alternative.

Thank you for posting this!  I must have deleted my copy and noticed it was no longer available.  I've tried to take more fight pictures lately -- I've got a lot of them now thanks to enemiesaccumulate and thefightclub hacks, which are very awesome.  I made a dance club with a boxing ring as the dance floor.  It gets used more often for fighting than dancing, which is just what I'd hoped for.  Now I can get some better pictures.

I checked again, and it looks like the creator of this hack, Eddief66, pulled everything off of MTS2. Does anyone know if he's moved them to a new location or anything? He had some good stuff.
