More Awesome Than You!

As it turns out, most of Mrs. Crumplebottom's more obnoxious, as opposed to humorous, aspects stem from, surprise, surprise, buggy Maxian programming that isn't working as it should. The Clothes Lecture, for instance, seems to occur because the "target counter" loop and the "target selector" loop differ by one key logical line ("Ignore This Sim?"), and that even when a target is not found, the target selector loop runs anyway (it shouldn't!), and thus chooses the first sim that is naked (but SHOULD have been ignored!), which, invariably, is the showering sim. She also loses her powers of X-ray perception with this, and can now only detect sims in her room. Because Mrs. Crumplebottom is cool. She assaults random strangers with a purse full of powdered cement! And that's simply hilarious.

FEATURES:
Mrs. Crumplebottom should no longer interrupt showering sims to scream at them.
A Crumplebottom action should no longer stomp your queue.

COMPATIBILITY:
Compatible with all FFS hacks. Tested for TS2NL v1.0p1.

SIDE EFFECTS:
May cause computer damage, incontinence, explosion of user's head, coma, death,
and/or halitosis.

WARNING:
Do not open, crush, dispose of in fire, put in backwards, short-circuit, or mix

I like the new warning at the end of the RTFM JM, I hadn't seen that before... although it's probably been there for a year on all hacks... and I agree Crumplebottom is cool.

She even looks kind of like you, JM. Hmm. I may have to clone her in SimPE and make a sim that looks like her. Perfect mate for JM sim, and the children would be truly frightening.

Is there a logical reason this one replaces Crammyboy's "No Driver Watchout?"  ???

A friend of mine has had Sims produce children by Santa and Mrs. Crumplebottom in-game using I think the autonomous bed. No word yet on how they turn out :P

Anyway, awesome as usual, heh. It always bugged me how I'd be having a male Sim sponge-bathing downtown in the male-only bathroom and she'd burst in to lecture them. Reminds me of how in Sims1 I'd have a hotel downtown and she'd take a bath and proceed to wander around naked thenceforth in a medium-skinned male body, clutching her purse primly in front of her...

I didn't think I'd actually need this till i tried ure Ethiopian Challenge.  Crumplebottom seems to have xray laser vision eyes or summat since she can see my sim showering from across the street *shrugs*

I actually seem to be missing Mrs. C from my game.  She has been MIA the last 50 times I went downtown and I havent even used the visitor controller yet.

As far as I know, the visitor controller automatically bans Crumplebottom, without you doing anything.  So, if you just had that hack installed, that would be enough to do it.

Ok that solves that mystery.  I mean I dont mind her being gone but I thought I had to ban he myself. 

I agree Mrs C is cool but is there any way to let your sims have interactions with her - like pranks or pokes?  Those are often the only options I get when I click on her but the instruction falls out of the queue.

They're SUPPOSED TO fall out of the queue. Mrs C can't be interacted with at all (not counting for glitches).

Yeah also, when you try to pull prank on her, she will inevitably hit your sim with her purse, she is programmed that way.

Oh, thank you!  I love Mrs. C and get a kick out of her antics!  Okay, so I'm warped, but she adds a grin to my game occasionally, but bugginess sometimes adds grimness instead.

can you make a hack so croumplebottom is on a community all the time? :)

I thought this might be interesting to check.

Squinge release a mod so we can get even with Mrs. Crumplebottom.  It allow us to annoy, insult, nag, attack, poke, shove, slap & goose Mrs. Crumplebottom.  It can be found at the insimenator site.  You must register on that site in order to download it.  It does not cause a conflict with this mod according to hack conflict tool.

EDIT:  I remove the direct link because some did not like it eventhough JM did not disaprove of that directly to me.

I  thought messing with Grumpy Crumpy caused your game to become a BFBVFS. That hack scares me.

Apart from that...  I'm sure JM will not appreciate having links to hacks he has declared non-awesome in his threads!

Well if he finds it offending he can always delete my post.  He does have all the power to do this.

This mod is not part of the insimenator it as nothing to do with it, it is a stand-alone mod, it is just hosted on the same site.  I am not using the insimenator but I do like some of Squinge's mods.

I am aware that it is not part of the insiminator - But I also know that Pescado has declared Squinge to be "unawesome"

Well yeah, that's Pescado's opinion, not everyone's  ::)

I like and use some of Squinge's mods....no BFBVFS yet, but even then again that doesn't worry me as I'm not one to get attached to my sims either  :D

Now I don't want to start an argument on this, I just said on the 1st line of my post that I found it interesting to check.  In no way I said it is safe to use.

I notice JM enquire about this directly to Squinge, if JM say to stay away from this because it can cause problems I will believe him and stay away from it, I posted this exactly for this reason so he can take look and give us an opinion on this new mod.  I also read to stay away from things that could mess-up Mrs. Crumplebottom but I would like an opinion of an expert since I am no modder and I am definetely not awesome as Pescado or other modders.

I thought he and others would find this interesting.  This is the only reason why I gave the link.

I don't think Pescado as anything against this and if he does well he can surely speak for himself about this matter.

My personal opinion is that it was rude to post it in this specific thread. I think it would have been more appropriate  in Retardoland, and may have been received in a more positive way. That's all. I don't think you are wrong for wanting to post the link.  :)

Just wanted to add, I edited the post, removed the link and only mention that it can be found at the insimenator site.  I am now waiting for JM impression of this mod.  I am truly scared of it and really don't want to mess-up the game by installing it though Squinge seems confident it will not. 

EDIT:  JM gave me his opinion on that mod on the chat in a PM.  If you also wonder what he thinks just ask him.
