Title: No Corrupted Death Memory *CRITICAL*
Post by: J. M. Pescado on 2005 December 19, 08:30:43
Stops the formation of new jagged-line invisible gossip memories formed by sim death. Now available in "Good" and "Evil" versions. Evil version includes the same fix, with additional bonus that when non-family sims hated by the witnessing sim die, the death memory is green. Mwahahaha! All versions compatible with all available TS2 versions.

No Corrupted Death Memory (v1b) for TS2 v1.0p1 to TS2NL v1.0p1
Made by: Flying Fish Systems (J. M. Pescado)

Special Thanks To:
Quaxi, for writing SimPE

Congratulations to: Draklixa!

INSTRUCTIONS:
Place in your MYDOCU~1\EAGAME~1\THESIM~1\DOWNLO~1 directory.

FIXES:
The formation of the corrupted death memory, as seen in gossip of the form
"jagged lines", "tombstone", "dead Sim", is now suppressed. Existing
corrupted death memory markers not affected, and will continue to spread
unless eliminated in SimPE. You can usually identify corrupted death markers,
because one will follow every directly-experienced death of visitor or family
member, and is flagged "invisible", with no event owner. It will spread to
other Sims in gossip, and all memories of this form (no event owner,
$Subject Died, Dead Sim), are corrupted "jagged line" memories. Delete these
whenever they show up in gossip, noting which sim possesses them, and which
sim received it. Find the corrupted memory in both Sims and expunge it from
anyone you can find.

For non-advanced or lazy users, you're stuck with your existing jagged lines
for now. New neighborhoods will be clean.

FEATURES:
Sims will now receive green death memories when a hated non-family member dies.

COMPATIBILITY:
This hack is fully compatible with all FFS hacks. Tested for TS2NL v1.0p1.

SIDE EFFECTS:
May cause computer damage, incontinence, explosion of user's head, coma, death,
and/or halitosis.

I love it!

no more bad memories of your worst enemy dying!  nice.

No text changes. The text is pretty bland. But the memory will be green.

They already did that.

No more red memories for enemies. Yay! Is it just me, or do non-family members not recieve the memories of the death, even on the rare occasion they do witness it? Because all my sims seem to hate their parent-in-laws (either due to crushes, hugs, or general pranking). What counts as 'witnessing' for the memories to come, accoriding to the EVIL version?

Usually, a sim witnesses the death if the Grim Reaper shows up while they're on the lot and awake, particularly if they come to cheer, sigh, or cry at it.

My sims only queue it up once in a blue moon, even if they are awake or even in the same room with the dying sims. Guess I'm just doomed to enemies having no memories of deaths. *sighs*

Does this replace the old corrupt death fix?  I'm assuming I should delete the old one before installing this one, correct?

Muhahahahhahaha! This is fantastic!  ;D

This will especially come in handy when I restart my real game (still waitin on that romancemod update ::)) so now, when I kill off the psycho ex-roommate, both the hubby and I will get wonderfully cherishable green memories! Yay!

I wonder... aren't green memories the ones that are bragged about? Hehehe, if so, our sims will definately be braggin more often after the *ahem* accident.

And I still think you should update "Kick Stuff" to allow kicking of tombstones in addition to Flamingos and Gnomes. :P

Before I taught my Sims the Sport of Kings, they kicked Tombstones when ordered to Kick Stuff.

Mean Sims will go ahead and kick a tombstone if it's the closest kickable thing.
