Title: Help with downloading?
Post by: caschmid on 2012 October 31, 23:06:41
I'm a bit confused, even after reading everything, instructions, posts, etc. how to go about downloading AwesomeMod.

I downloaded the framework for Mac from here:
http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,15184.0.html

The file downloaded unzipped. It's called framework, and inside...it reads games and mods. Inside games is bin, and inside that is d3dx9_31.dll. I cannot open this file. Inside mods is files and packages. Inside files is DDFMap.txt, and Resource.cfg. That latter I can't open. Nothing inside Packages. The resource file is in the main folder, with game and mods folders.

Am I to take the entire framework folder and copy it in Contents>Resources>transgaming>c_drive>Program Files>Electronic Arts>The Sims 3.
In addition to this, I am to place the framework folder in each one of the expansions folders...and the stuff pack folders?

Do I download all three zip files? The Mirrors? When I download I get a folder which I cannot open/unzip. Are these links for Windows users only?

So do I simply places the entire folder (all three, or just one?) in the framework folder, or...?

Thanks to everyone who can help out. Cant wait to download this!

1. This is the completely wrong place to ask this.
2. We don't offer help with downloading - pls see an Internet Newbie site (maybe MTS).
3. If you can unzip it you've already downloaded it - pls see an even more newbie site about what downloading actually is (I can't make a suggestion there, it's too primitive a concept).
4. As above for the word 'mirror' in an Internet context.
5. You'll have to wait for somebody willing to overlook the above and who cares about Mac users (you may be in for a wait - or a shower of shit - we shall see).
