Title: SimCity from TS1

What do you think about this town? :) I've finished it yet and I'm going to change some details and upload it on my blog today or tommorow.

This is getting pretty close to the ultimate recreation of the Sims 1 neighborhood. I like it. Now I will immediately compare it to CTNutmegger's Simsville: I love that you chose two different bridges into Old Town, and I also like the tunnel up there. I like that Old Town looks similar to how it does in Unleashed instead of suddenly being a crowded downtown area. The landscape seems a lot truer to the original.

There seems to be a scale issue, though; some lots that should be adjacent are down the street from each other. I understand how difficult it is getting the scale correct while also having everything fit together.

I also think that CTNutmegger had the right idea when she expanded the neighborhood and added the rabbit holes necessary for employment. If I were making my own Sims 1 ultimate recreation, I'd include a replica of Hot Date's downtown area as well. Maybe I'll try my hand at this someday.

Overall, is tasty. Keep up the good work.

I just want to know about the functionality of the bridges. I can live with what I've created from Nutmegger's creation, but those bridges she chose are a serious bottleneck. If yours allow continued traffic without snarls and stuck sims I'd bother the effort of moving my Sims and their ancestors over to the new map.

I know, I didn't scale the town correct, all is too big, but lots are converted 'grid by grid' ;)

Bridges are ok, sims can go to Old Town without any problems - if road is near to bridge, all will work good :)

Sorry for my English...

And I'd like it if you'd go away, or (at least) get an idea of where you are and how to speak English.

As for your PM to me; I've experienced more insulting attacks from gerbils than that. Sidling up to me to 'whisper' that I'm a moron just doesn't cut it. Put on your big girl pants and come out fighting like an adult.

Evidence thread it! I want to see PMs!

I can forgive TS1's terribly stunted mechanics for the fact it unquestionably has the best soundtrack in the entire series. And the general atmosphere and humour were a lot darker compared to TS3's super goofy silly happy funtime style.
