Title: Zombie Stretch Armstrong Agent 47 Paperboy Discovered!
Post by: Monty on 2012 July 21, 16:19:25
I noticed this rather emaciated looking fellow shambling towards my house.

Turns out he's a zombie Stretch Armstrong pudding paperboy Agent 47.

Shortly after this picture, he turned inside out and rode his bicycle away into the fourth dimension. My game crashed.

So yeah. Obviously there's some resources from Supernatural in the game somewhere. Probably Showtime, but I'm not entirely sure since I have every EP and SP.

You don't have the recalled superpatch in your game, do you?

You mean the huge patch file to update the game from ancient game versions? I used that a long time ago, but ever since I've been updating from the incremental patches.

Are you using a hidden traits mod?
Your paperboy is a mummy.

You mean this? http://www.modthesims.info/download.php?t=343046

I've never created mummies before because they're fucking stupid.

Game version: 14.0.48.017001. Got a non critical core mismatch. Allegedly I'm up to date and shit.

The patch isn't the issue.  Whether you created a mummy or not, is also not the issue.  Did you create that paperboy? No, you didn't.
The mod, the very one you linked to, caused your game to generate a paperboy with mummy as one of his traits.

Do you want to fix it?  Remove the mod and kill the paperboy.  Editing him in CAS will not work.

Doesn't AM's droptrait command work?

It may, but it won't stop the game from generating NPCs with the mummy trait.

Hidden occult-related traits are hidden for a REASON, and whoever enabled those is a moron. Those specific traits are for internal game use only, and are never supposed to be set by the player.

I just assumed it was the 6 trying to run an adult animation, I've had it happen with a playable but idle 6, before the superpatch mess. It's either an idle animation, or a 'do not want' animation - the lot I was playing had ghosts and pets, the 6 may have been reacting to one of them.

No hidden occult-related traits were in play in that scenario, the only mod in my game is awesome mod.

Yeah, but that's clearly the mummy pose. There are some weird stretch behaviors that occur due to obscure wires being crossed, but this here is an example of Tight Pants.

Weird stretches are caused by missing animations. When Shimrod released his Create a Pet jailbreak I had a lot of weird stretching happening while messing around with the demo because of that. I never played mummies but I assume children can't be mummies so when the child tries to do the mummy animations which don't exist for his age group, you'll see the weird stretchie thing happen because the game is trying to access an animation that isn't there.

I solved the problem by removing Tight Pants and nuking said NPC with Awesomemod.
