Title: Edwardian Kitchen Counter Top
Post by: kissing_toast on 2012 March 21, 20:33:14
This adds a counter top to the Edwardian Kitchen Counters since one wasn't included. This fixes the counter showing through the dishwasher and trash compactors. If your Edwardian Kitchen is decrappified you MUST decrap this file. This is not a stand alone, this is now a fix.

Thanks to Aussome for pointing out to me that my top could be linked to the original.

Since this is an actual counter, and not a "fix", it belongs with packages, yes, not the overrides folder?  Also, baaaa.

That doesn't matter. If you're using package files to get arred store content into your game it always goes into the overrides folder. If you decrappify the stuff you can alway dump it in the packages folder.

Not a fix, this is an entirely new object.

KT,

As an experiment, I decrapped your countertop file and referenced its OBJD inside the MDLR resource from the original package (decrapped & installed via launcher).

This is my first time working with counters, so I wasn't sure what would happen, but it actually worked.  The counter functions (EA) normally and does switch to the countertop if you insert a dishwasher or trash compactor.

Would this fix be of benefit to anyone in addition to your standalone version?

I can attach it if so.  I don't want to add any more confusion than necessary with all the work you guys have been doing to get all these items straightened out.

This will work. If you could PM me a link and maybe a quick how you did it that would be great. Then I can add it to my fix thread.

PM sent.

WE don't need to know that, now do we? I guess the recipient will find out in due course.

Great job as always. Does this mean that this is no longer a separate object but a proper fix?
