Title: Sims 3 crashing issue after installing Generations
Post by: pepsihamster on 2012 January 26, 22:31:41
I have been experiencing crashes to desktop on a regular basis since installing Generations the other day. Up till then everything was fine.

I have all EPs and SPs up to Generations and I am fully patched with the Patcher tool from MTS.
The other day I have updated my graphics driver, defragmented my pc, ccleaner. Clean install of all Sims 3 games.
I haven't experienced these kind of crashes before and I am wondering if it's because my pc is lacking in RAM or something else, now. It's a relatively new pc and not a bad one as you can see from the other log.(see end of post)
The game crashes without any message and each time I get a log file in my TS3 folder under documents and it seems to be the same issue each time. I am not computer savvy, so I don't know what to make of these numbers but I am hoping others do. I am posting this with the hope that someone knowledgable can tell me what's going on. I am usually a lurker here on the forums and have found a LOT of helpful advice here in the past by reading, reading and reading some more. I have tried to address this issue the best to my abilities but without the luck or knowledge needed.

I am playing with Awesome Mod (so awesome!) and only little CC from MTS which should be up to date, like:
- some door light fixes from plasticbox.
- default fixes for some EA stuff, like counter hight windows, no stencils on sofa/blinds by HugeLunatic mostly.
- Ladyfrontburn default skintones for all ages, lip overlays, 2 female hairs,...nothing much.
- A half wall, 1 glass door, larger magazine defaults; some EA pictures by Qbuilderz.
- Couple of patterns.

The only hacks I have are:
Buzzler's Aging Manager (which I rarely use) + Same Energy for Every Bed.
Chaavik's Unlocked TV Channels and More Fun.
No Intro.

All above I have been playing with before the crashing started without any problems!! (pre Generations)

I am playing Sunset Valley and have not been to any vacation destination for months.
Before Generations the game played fluently on high settings on near everything. After Generations it started to lag a LOT on the same settings + starting to crash more and more, probably because of the hundreds of ridicouless memories being generated. That's why I used the AM cheats "clearmemories all" coupled with Fixall. I deleted all caches and thumbnails and installed Velocitygrass No Automatic Memories.
I figured that would take care of things and I could go back to playing like before. The game plays much more fluently again on the same high settings, but I still have these darn crashes which, as I said before, are new.

If someone could have a look at these logs and tell me if it's my pc that is lacking now, somehow -  if the numbers will reveal that (or what the particular crash is all about), I would be really greatful. I don't know how to fix this otherwise. Any other suggestions?
Excuse my english, if it's not all correct, but I am Non English. And sorry for the long post, but I felt I should explain properly.

Edit: I have also read this thread http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,21121.0.html which has similar issues and maybe my problems are also related to the last patch, but I don't know if that's the case. I would be greatful to hear whether my pc has deficiencies according to the logs. (attached)
