Title: Stretched Screen
Post by: vlcroman on 2011 September 08, 01:33:07
Along with my new computer I got a flat screen monitor, and the aspect ratio is different from my old screen.  The Sims appear stretched out horizontally a bit.  I can live with it if I have to, but I'd really like to go back to the old aspect ratio.  I thought there would be an option in the setting menu, but I don't see it.  Can someone help me out?

The option you're looking for is Screen Size in the Graphics/Performance Options tab. If you're lucky, you'll find your new screen's resolution listed there, otherwise just pick one that has the same aspect ratio. My screen. for example, is a 1680x1050, and the 1280x800 screen size works fine.

You can edit TS2s Graphics Rules file to include your new widescreen resolution.
