Title: Tag Disabler
Post by: Sanati on 2010 June 17, 12:22:57
I was starting to get tired of the tag bug (had a sim sprint across a lot holding a baby) so I made this real quick. It simply disables both autonomous and manually directed tag. To fix the sims already effected with the bug you need to evict them and then move them back in.

Dear God(s) that running to and fro, around and about, getting absolutely nowhere fast is annoying.  It's about time someone modified the game to eliminate that stupid bug.

It would be funny if it could be assigned to specific sims, maybe as a trait - like the hyperactivity trait.   ::)

Is tag a new feature since Ambitions? I know kids could play tag (at least I thought they could, but I could be thinking of TS2) but I don't remember seeing teens or adults playing tag until I installed Ambitions. I had my sim go to the park to play guitar for tips and no one was paying attention to him because they were all too busy playing tag with each other.

I believe it's been there all along, but I only really saw it in adult sims with the childlike trait.

If you have a debug enabler like what Twallan has on his site, you can go into debug and reset the sim's walking speed...

Good to know. I remembered there was a locomotion setting in that the last time I used it, like to make a normal sim walk like a ghost or mummy, but I figured if resetsim wasn't working to fix the issue than neither would that. That should make things a lot easier for people already struck by the bug.
