Title: Some invisible triplets?
Post by: deatheatrsrsexy on 2010 February 14, 18:48:16
I was using awesome mod and decided to try the test baby basket with triplets on my sim. Well it worked out ok in the beginning, my sim had the basket and went to take the baby out only to find out that two of the three triplets were invisible. I havent heard about any issues like it, and i tried to use fixall (it said 9 phantom butts cleared) but the babies were still invisible!! They all make the maximum household number, and i tried reloading the game (without saving) and trying again. Nothing happened. Please help!!!

what basket? Why bother?

You want triplets (and God forbid, I know I do NOT want them in any fambly I'm actually going to play)... it's easy - get both parents 10,000 points and use it to purchase both the male and the female the 'fertility treatment' thing. Then make a baby, er babies. You'll have triplets.

I do this all the time with the adult kids after I've pushed 'em out of the nest so the grandparents (the sims I'm still actually playing) can have their '10 grandchildren' want fulfilled more quickly...so I currently have a set of grandparents who have 2 sets of triplet grandchildren plus enough singles to make for a total of 11 grandchildren.

Why you'd want to actually play a fambly with triplets, I'll never understand. Unless you think that you win this game if you have a stroke from the sheer frustration of it.

Triplets are useful for completing the raise 5 children to teenager ltw with minimum impact on the mother's career.  Of course, they're nearly impossible to handle unless one of the parents is self-employed.  I managed to teach the set I had all toddler skills, read all toddler books and complete the music and blocks toys, all on normal lifespan.  One parent had an involved career track(athletics), and the other was a stay at home parent.  Wasn't bad.

I have the same issue in my game. My problem is that I have a shirt and a top that aren't properly age categorized, and SOMEHOW thats always what the damn babies end up "wearing." It's not as much of an annoyance for me because I hate the baby stage anyway and I always age them up to toddler as soon as they're born and then edit the outfit so they're not wearing adult clothing.

Anyway, hoping that helps?

With AM you can just hit ctrl+shift+C and type in dresser and change your newborns outfit. Thats what i do when mine come out wearing the outfits not meant for them! Hope that helps!

IDEA: Dont use debug testing cheats to get things you want to actually work?

hurp de freaking durp

a cheat for testing out the triplet basket isn't the best way to get triplets.

You could also just adopt five babies and be done with it. That way you can have them all really close together and not impact the parent's career that much. I find "Motherlode" works well as a way to get the cash for it and then if one of the Sims is good, you can donate the rest the charity and get a moodlet boost as well.
