Thank you so very much! After the flop they made with TS3 base game guide, I lost trust in them. Again, thanks a lot! I appreciate it to the fullest.  :-*

I was surprised how correct most of the information has been so far, normally there are more errors.

Lies.  Many lies.  Can't trust the guide when you can't tell what's truth and what's fiction.  >:(

And those tomb maps were extremely unhelpful.  I still can't figure out how to rescue my sim from the landgraab chateau's dining room. :\

I couldn't figure that out either, thank goodness I had maxed her in martial arts, so I had her meditate until she could zeneport out of there.

Thanks for the guide Skadi.

I can't tell right now, I don't have WA yet. But TS3 part is mistaken: I read that Ambrosia was prepared with Deathfish and Baked Angel Food Cake, WTF? It's Life Fruit, if I'm not mistaken. I bet there's lot of these mistakes printed all over the guide... ::)

Haha They are called Prima MISguides for a reason.

Nevertheless, thank you for the WA guide, Skadi. :)

I haven't been really looking for errors in the guide, but there is a few that I did find. Again she put the wrong name for the Luminorious gem, she called it the Crazy gem (in the base game guide she called it the Special gem), she is also calling the Blue Topaz the Aqua gem.

In the tomb building section she also failed to say that you have to enter "testingcheatsenabled true" before entering "buydebug." She says you only have to enter "testingcheatsenabled true" only after you enter "buydebug" to be able to assign triggers and behaviors to tomb items.

They actually used the phrase 'unique as a snowflake'. I didn't know people still used that in a non-sarcastic context.  ::)

To be fair though, if you look in the game files, Luminorious is actually called Crazy and Blue Topaz is Aqua.

Hey I have a question for any anyone with the knowledge (and not speculation)

Is there any known TS3 World Adventures download that is compatible with the original TS3 store bought game?
I'm seriously not shelling out 40 bucks to Crappy EA after all the bugs they gave me with the first game....

(sorry if this is the wrong place for this question but couldn't find a general TS3 question area.)

Thanks.

BTW: TY for the Prima download

Rolfy, you would be better off looking in The Horror section, as that is for general TS3 help.

Are you sure it wasn't sarcastic? The gems aren't exactiy unique in the game, either...

Quote
The whole point of the changes in The Sims 3 is that you have a new level of interaction and control to make your game experience - the life experiences of your sim - as unique as a snowflake.

If it was sarcasm, it was stealth sarcasm. With the right tone that could be downright condescending, but I think that's hoping for too much.

I downloaded the torrent file but it only tells me to open it again and again. I can't seem to get the file to just open. What do I open it with?

Is this even worth it for me to download?  Sounds like there are a bunch of errors with it.  I don't have tons of time to waste on an error-ridden guide, not if I am to play TS3.

Not really, no. Prima Guides don't contain anything valuable you can't get from the tech dumps.

Title: World Adventures Prima Strategy Guide
Post by: Menchii on 2010 January 24, 10:07:24
I got a hold of a good copy of the Prima Strategy Guide for World Adventures.  It is in pdf format.  The file is zipped and is around 45 megs.  Take it for what it is worth.  It is the Prima Guide so some or most of the information probably is lies.  I didn't read the whole guide cause it is huge (224 pages).  The useful things I saw from reading it quickly are some maps of collectables and maps with the solution to some of the tombs.  Enjoy.

I can't attach the torrent directly to this post so a link to it on my 4shared account will have to do.  I don't remember what torrent site I downloaded it from so all I can do is give you the torrent.

http://www.4shared.com/file/205843701/d1050a61/Prima_TS3WAzip.html

If necessary I will stick the whole guide on my 4shared account.  The torrent downloaded quickly for me but if someone really wants me to upload the pdf to 4shared I will.

You do realize there's a thread up in the Pudding Factory for the Prima Guide already, right?

Nope.  I fail again.  That was twice in a row.  I think I will stop trying to contribute now.  Now we got a mirror!!
