Title: The Wrath of Pescado?
Post by: BooHooBooBoo on 2009 August 04, 01:17:07
I have one fine, upstanding police officer sim whom I noticed spending a little too much time chatting with the teen babysitter (after his wife went upstairs to bed.)  I thought it might make an interesting storyline to give him the Pedophile trait.

So today I wanted to play around with the traits to see what would happen.  I created a flirty little teen and gave her the Pedobait trait, and then made a creepy adult Pedophile for a roomie.

They were flirting around -- while she was attempting to cook dinner.  Flames erupted everywhere!  The fire spread through the house while these hysterical sims danced around.  I had them call for firefighters ... over and over and over.  Neighbors showed up, and one even brought a fire extinguisher, and eventually my dancing sims followed my commands and put out the fire.

But, I'm wondering.  Was this purely a coincidence that the fire department never showed up?  Or is this the wrath of Pescado for enabling pedophilia in my game!

Purely coincidence, I think. If you want to see my wrath, type "Trogdorstrikesagain".

Pes did add new traits.

Pedophile, Pedobait, Registered Sex Offender, Incontinent (lol), Tealdeer, TealdeerImmune.

I am having fun adding the latter three to some townies.
What exactly does tealdeer do?  I think I misunderstood when it was mentioned by Pescado....

Edit: I think it makes a sim so damned boring that she'll cause people to fall asleep when talking to her and it also makes any books that they write super damned long.  Is that correct?

It's a schtick trait for Lorelei. Lorelei will automatically receive it in-game.

There's something weird; my Lorelei seems fine, while BastDawn has just "bored to death" poor jolrei. Is that it?

I'm DEAD?  Due to boredom?
Actually, that sounds about right.

If you updated your Awesomemod after Lorelei was already in your game, would she automagically have the new trait assigned?  I have not checked my game to see how this works yet.

I put in game MATYsims when this feature was already in place, so I think there's something wrong (or maybe I did something wrong, dunno).

Fortunately, you only were asleep, not dead, in the end. You survived long enough to marry (thanks to Indie storymode randomness) Molly Whatshername, one of the two single moms in Sunset Valley. No idea why, the information popped up all of a sudden while I was playing another lot. When I returned to you, you were already father of a girl.

Use capital letters, like this: addtrait Pedobait

or, if you want to remove a trait: droptrait Pedobait

I just made a family of weirdness. Eight sims. They all had Pedophile, Continent, Narcolepsy and Tealdeer.

I'm pretty sure the neighbourhood imploded.

I love awesome mod and have been using it ever since I first found and joined this forum, but since that was quite recent I never knew about these extra traits. Can someone who knows the place better drop me a link (if there is one) to where all the extra features of awesome mod (like these new traits) are explained? It might save me downloading other mods unnecessarily.

And do the above mentioned traits ever get assigned to sims under given circumstances, or can they only be given by Addtrait ?

Thanks :)

You "made" a family of 8 sims? As in, they ROLLED that? Because those aren't supposed to be rollable. Or did you MAKE it that way?

Download Awesomemod from the Awesomemod Shiny thread in the Awesomemod section.  Zip file contains the RTFM which should more or less answer your questions.  Also, because of the way TS3 is constructed, there can only be one core mod.  This is why there is Awesomemod and not a set of individual mods.

Tssk, don't be silly.
I'm not awesome enough to roll those traits.

I added them in-game through the console.

I've got at least 2 born-in-game sims in my neighborhood with the tealdeer trait.  I did not choose the trait for either of them, they just lucked into it on their own. That's the only odd trait I've seen, but I've definitely seen it at least twice. Personally I like it, it's right up there with the night that everyone rode tiny bicycles. . . I wouldn't want the pedophile trait to start turning up randomly though.

Yeah, I've had a couple game-made sims turn up with Tealdeer too.  At first I thought it was a hidden trait because I didn't see it on the trait list in the game.  I guess Tealdeer showing up without being manually-added is a bug?  Is there any way to make it so we can toggle whether we want these traits to be "rollable?"  I have no idea how you implemented these traits so I have no idea whether that would be a monumental undertaking or a simple parameter tweak.

I tried a tip from Geller here that worked perfectly to rid my sim of the RegisteredSexOffender trait... and that is you remove AM + AM Config file from your game, then load the game and save it, now reinstall AM + AM Config file and when you go into your game to check on your affected sim's traits... you will see them all restored and just like new...   ;D

Pretty much all the console commands are explained if you type in "help" in the console in game.  The exact usage of some of the ones that take arguments are not clearly described in "help," but I think are in the RTFM.  The only console command I know of that I can't remember seeing in the "help" list is "trogdorstrikesagain."

Which I'm going to have to try sometime just to see if it's physically possible to put out.  Probably not but I'll get some new ghosts for trying :D  My simicide MO is very boring, I just drag their Hunger bar all the way down, so almost all my ghosts are purple.

It is possible to put out TrogdorStrikesAgain, but it's not easy. It's even possible to put out a Disco Inferno, but half your town will likely be firemen by the time it is over.

Enable debug commands, ctrl-shift-click on the desired sim and select "die by" (might be "kill by" but the command makes sense). Or use Twallan's supercomputer in the pudding factory as it has a "kill sim" interaction.

Oh Jesus Christ what do you think it does? Inferno. Take a guess. If you are that curious then try if not then shut it.

It's sort of an easter egg and not meant to be a regular documented feature.

I am tired of people going 'waaaaah waaaah I don't know what this does but I am too much of a pussy to try it out. I want someone to spell it out for me waaaah'.

I am sorry Motoki!  I made it clear enough in my post that I was too much of a pussy/chicken to try it out myself.  That was the reason for the request.

Someone was kind enough to enlighten me. And I thanked them.  End of the question & answer "give & take" - sorry, I'm puertorican and can't find the word for it.

There was really *NO* need for anyone else to intrude in our conversation.

You seem to be having a bad evening - but that *really* has nothing to do with our conversation.

There was another poster that re-posted another  post just for the pleasure of hearing herself post! Even though the question had been answered over 40 minutes before her post.
I was nice enough to keep my trap shut.

I like you...  but not everyone deserves crap - and I'm  frankly surprised about you dishing it for peeps who don't deserve it.

Title: Re: The Wrath of Pescado?

I am just flabbergasted. How hard is it really to hit save, then type a command then go 'okay haha, joke's over. Time to restart'. (edit: I originally type resTARD. Freudian slip? :P)

Is it really that difficult? Do you think Pescado embedded some command to make your computer blow up? Because I seriously don't get it. I don't get the fear. Of what? It's a game. You don't want to lose something so save before you try it. Big deal.

Also, if something is meant to be a joke or easter egg or whatever then it is intentionally not meant to be documented. Many, many games do this. I don't see the point of whining over something that is not meant to be a regular gameplay feature in the first place.

The only reason word even got out about it is because Pescado mentioned it in the chat room and people leaked it out here, but really, it's just a joke. That's it. And it won't kill you if you try it out without someone writing a dissertation on what it does. Honest.

Well, for me personally, I'm playing on a Macbook with 1GB RAM and no discrete graphics, so loading the game literally takes 10 minutes.  It definitely makes me more hesitant to do things that I know would result in me having to reload.  Besides, maybe some people get attached to their sims and don't want to set them on fire, even if it's only temporary :)

"TrogdorStrikesAgain" will set ONLY the active lot on fire, while "DiscoInferno" will set the whole Pleasentview straight to Hell.

I won't be able to try DiscoInferno until I get home to my "real" computer :(  I did trogdor on a small starter cottage and that was already too much for my poor macbook to handle.

RazzleDazzle didn't do anything for me :-/

Typing RazzleDazzle results in unknown command.

I agree with motoki, you're doing it all wrong.

First, you need to make sure you have the "testingcheatsenabled true" command, an expensive car in your sims inventory and a sim with low motives.

Then you need to make sure it's 8-9 pm, not earlier or later, otherwise it won't work well. At this point you'll have to order one of your sims to go to the Bristo and have a drink inside, remember, INSIDE, then select the park icon (from the view town mode) and make your active sim to go there after he has some drinks, then just roam around the park and wait an hour or so, and you'll need to go to the other restaurant, the cheap one and have some more drink.

Just repeat the drinking action up to 3 am, then you stop and you'll be able to enter "razzledazzle". It may appear a message telling you that there's no such command, just ignore it, it's a decoy message to make yopu repeat it, if you repeat it you'll disable it, we don't want that.

This next step is important: you'll have to select the car of your sim and order it to go home, and then the fun part will happen: OMFGWDID!!!  :o
