Thanks, I think this is a good mod, but there's a  balance to be struck here.
Could it possibly be based on friendship?
I mean, theres a big difference between a friend repairing your TV, and a work aquaintance deciding that they're gonna help themselves to your sushi.
I think somewhere inbetween this and the EA default would be correct, but how far inbetween I'm not sure.

Well, part of the issue is that the game conflates two seperate concepts: Things that visitors ordinarily SHOULDN'T do because it's not their problem, and things they shouldn't do because it is rude, and the two are conflated into a single "inappropriate" concept.

However, using someone else's computer is never appropriate! The game, however, lacks a distinction between a computer that is OWNED, and one of those junkers you put in the guest area for that purpose.

can a handy sim upgrade friend's stuff? I don't want every sim to know Handiness but it would be nice if they could alter their doorbells or get better speakers.

What about sleeping? I have a couple homeless sims and I hate asking every night if they can sleep over just so they don't get yelled at.

Updated the file, had missed sleeping in bed.

Can it be setup so that if you are a guest just for a few hours, Showers and what-not are forbidden... Most people don't shower at someone's house they are just visiting for a few hours.

Now if they are invited to spend the night then I think a shower should be not considered rude.

Easles?  I've got an idot artist who always seems to get the urge to paint whomever he is visiting.
