Title: Socialsed Energy! Some beds are more equal than others!
Post by: Czezechael on 2009 June 21, 16:45:00
Gawrsh, it's been practically a year since I've posted here.

I've updated this mod. I found that it didn't work too well with Ambitions as-is, and slow-sleep tents and beds really ruined my shit.

Install to wherever you use. Same energy deltas as before (1.5). Compatible with HELS, WA, AMB, and storeshit beds. Can't get any storeshit beds to work on my second installation of the game, so I'm only assuming that what was true a year ago will still be true now.

For anyone that used my billing mod (lump-sum payments and increases), that still works without any changes.

Does this affect the EA store beds?

Your .zip is making both Windows Explorer and WinRAR throw up.  WinRAR's log is posted below.  I've tried re-downloading with different browsers, saving to desktop and opening directly from the link.  No go. I'm out of ideas (that didn't take long).

Code:
!   C:\Users\infamy\Desktop\socialisedenergy.zip: Unknown method in betterenergygainnofreepretties.package
!   C:\Users\infamy\Desktop\socialisedenergy.zip: Unknown method in RTFM.txt
!   C:\Users\infamy\Desktop\socialisedenergy.zip: No files to extract

However, I'm excited about trying it out.  It's an interesting take on the original bed issue. I like nightie's in that it allows my well-off Sims to have different beds, rather than the SAME BED in every room.  However, the notion of keeping the moodlets but fixing the sleep length is a great one for up-and-coming Sims.

Odd, it opens fine with 7zip, which is what I use.  I could just upload the package itself, we're probably mostly competent enough to know where to put it without a crappy RTFM.

That's optimistic!  Thank you for the .package - I'll let you know if anything unexpected happens.

Izarc worked with the zipped file just fine. Winrar puked at opening the zipped file still. This is just from seeing which program will open without problems.

Gonna check this out. My thoughts exactly how beds should be handled.

for the record 7zip uses a different compression routine and makes Winrar/Winace/Winzip puke horribly (the last if not updated, i think the current version of Winzip can handle 7zip files), Baa for posting the package.

Meh years of usenet taught me to have every available version of unraveling of things possible.

Yep I have it, it is buried here somewhere.

I ran this mod last night and it is just all sorts of freaking nice to use a variety of beds.

re: 7zip.. I use 7zip portable (Google "portable apps.")

This is a great mod. This make sleeping more realistic.

But is this conflict with Teen Woohoo? since all I know, Teen Woohoo also edit the bed xml file.
