Title: For anyone who pirated the sims 3 and has peerguardian
Post by: prettivacant on 2009 May 31, 01:29:02
Hi, I'm new here, but not very new to the Sims. A week ago I downloaded the pirated version of the Sims 3(the RELOADED one) and while I was downloading, peerguardian kept sending me error messages, saying exception occurred and that kind of crap. Now, whenever I try to download a torrent it doesn't connect to any peers. It says downloading, but the icon next to the file stays red and doesn't connect to any hosts so now none of my torrents are working. I know I haven't changed any settings in the past week, too. Now I'm wondering... if this is even possible.. could EA(or someone) have used this, knowing tons of people would download it, to install a like.. torrent blocking thing on your computer? I know it kind of sounds out there, but I can't come up with any other explanation. Did this happen to anyone else?? I NEED ANSWERS!! lol, but really, any help is appreciated!

Heres a link explaining what peerguardian does. It seems peerguardian is blocking you.

PeerGuardian is a waste of time and resources.

PeerGuardian is a waste of time and resources.

That's been my conclusion as well...

Wow, really? I got it thinking it would protect my computer.. It's really a waste?? I'm gonna uninstall it and see if that was the problem.
