Absolutely none of my YA sims ever get a want to join a Greek House, even though there are several on campus. I have WFSanity installed, could this be stopping them getting the want?

Are there bathrooms in the Greek houses?

I've been having the same problem, Emma. Everyone used to roll that want. Lately I haven't had a single sim (out of almost 15 I'm playing through uni) roll it.

Could it be that they haven't met anyone from the greek houses yet? Seems a little silly, to me, to want to join this group of people you don't even know. Apply LURK MOAR to greek housery, get a feel for the occupants first, maybe?

I don't actually know if meeting/befriending greek house inmates will do anything, but, it seems like a logical thing to try.

Oops. Yes, I meant to add that I do have wfsanity. Also, I'm running all EPs (except Pets).

Also, my students all are friends with members of various greek houses.

Oh. Bummer. Guess Faizah's idea won't work then.

If I play uni tonight, I'll try pulling wfsanity and let you know what happens.

I contemplated pulling wfsanity, but I think the benefits of the mod far outweighs the inconvenience of not having your sims want to join Greek Houses.

Just a note that I've been having the same problem, and I have Pes's Director's Cut (minus a few features I didn't feel the need for), and a swag of twojeff's hacks, but nothing that seems to be connected to this.

No. This want is rare, though. It's not unusual to never encounter it. Most likely, like the "Win Fight" wants, it contains contradictory conditions in its appearance triggers. It's not quite as bad as Win Fight, but it's definitely not a common explicit want.

It didn't used to be as rare as it is now.  I used to see it all the time on popularity sims, even when the sim had already pledged and joined, and even when there was no greek house in existence yet. ::)  It used to be about as common as Big Sim wants, which seem more frequent now under wfsanity.  Maybe it gets stomped by silly waterpolo, or the like.

The only Sims I've had roll this want have been romance and popularity sims.

Every romance and popularity sim used to get the want.  Occasionally I would get one of the other aspirations get a want to join, but typically only if they already knew someone else in a Greek House.

Now, nobody.  I'm not especially fussed, as I tend to just push my students through their studies to get them back into the main neighbourhood faster (Social life?  What is this?), but it does strike me as odd that nobody wants it anymore.

I have to say that almost all of my sims used to get that want. I was wondering if maybe the Freetime hobby want spam was stomping it since this is the first time I've played any sims through uni since installing that EP.

Anyway, I did pull wfsanity when I played tonight. I played through an entire semester on one lot. This sim has no friends in any greek house and did not roll the want. The second lot I played had four sims, all of whom have friends in greek houses. As soon as I loaded the lot, two of the sims (knowledge and family) rolled wants to join a greek house.

Of course, it could be a complete coincidence, but there you go.

Hmm. Good info, leaths. It is a shame because I ain't pulling wfsanity :D I might just cheat a bit and keep rerolling the wants until it shows, at least on my Popularity sims anyway.

I will take a look at it to see if the disabling conditions are too strict.
