Well, I guess it's that time again - I have 225 points left over from the castle set.  I'd have to ask hubby if I can buy more points though.  I was hoping they were done with the collections.  They have to stop sometime.  I'm sure the TV will need updating - I'm just guessing though.  The adult hairs enabled for elders.

116 items for only 9000 sim points   ::)   nice set tho but damn lol  guess EA wanted to say happy holidays

the tv needed updateing is a given   tho their been really good about enabling the adult hairs for elders

The furniture looks vaguely like the Mission stuff that came with OFB.
I don't see much that's too Asian-y about it. Except for the screen-type windows and doors maybe.

Ooh, I like those long dresses. I like the furniture too even though it looks like it was made by Ikea :P

Asian Fusion Collection

I am going to get most of the furniture items.
UPDATE

Here is a link to all the furniture

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?jmzz24g0zm2

The only pieces not included (I ran out of points, sorry)
Fourtunes window 100pts
Door of Opportunity 75pts
Doorways to Happiness 100pts
Commanding Soji Screen 50pts

Please let me know if there are items missing that are NOT listed above.  The last time I did a link I missed some items somehow. I believe they are all there.
I have not yet tested these in game so I don't know what is broken.  I'm off to do that now. I figure I can't fix -em anyway if they are broken so I'll just get the files out there to the people who can.  ;D

Others can get hair and clothes if they are so inclined.  But I'm just posting this so others don't waste points on the
furniture.

Thanks Cerridwen - I have 225 points left and my hubby said this week I can only buy $10 of points.  I'll buy what I can.

maybe this site should have a paypal account so I can add some funds as I would like to buy some but live in Australia and cant get my hands on the stuff but would rather share the cost with others lol

The furniture doesn't thrill me, but I like the plants and clothes. I'd help out, but I'm a broke college student and already spent my money on food and laundry. Those of you that have been providing the store items for the rest of us are truly Awesome.

Also, EA sucks even more for making people pay for the child and teen versions of the hairs separately.

The potted Bamboo glory works fine for me... I'm not sure what the problem with that could be... The fountain I believe there
is a problem with. It is not showing up in my game either.   I'm trying to open it in SimPE but am getting an error.   Can someone more awesome than I see if that file is totally borked? I'm guessing since SimPE won't open it it's borked.

Title: Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection
Post by: Richief on 2008 December 03, 00:10:52
Cerridwen, the fountain IS borked, SimPe cannot open and I cannot find it anywhere. The potted bamboo has a proble just as mentioned by jacqpinks. Could you redownload these please? Move your Sims Store folder or delete and fire the EA Downloader, it will re-download all of the items.

I noticed the potted bamboo and the other two-tiled plant have PainitngGlobals instead of PlantGlobals, will update in a sec. Along with the TV (AL update).

I will try redownloading both Rischief.

jacqpinks - The screen isn't there because I ran out of points.  There are four items I didn't buy stated in my post.
The screen, the door and the two windows.

"Giant Bonsai Tree" has retrieved "PlantGlobals". I will update the other plant as soon as Cerridwen posts a functioning version.

I also made a fix to this issue for two Maxis-made plants.

Description:
Two Maxis-made plants have retrieved "Plant Globals", both used to have "Sculpture Globals".

Installation:
Unzip, move to:
"Program Files > EA Games > The Sims 2 Latest EP (or M&G SP) > TSData > Res > Catalog > Bins".

Example:
"Program Files > EA Games > The Sims 2 Mansion & Garden Stuff > TSData > Res > Catalog > Bins".

This "should" be a functioning version of the fountain. It opens without error in SimPE. According to SimPE it's found in
Decorative/wallhangings.

http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?5ugdinmmoq2

As for the giant bamboo of glory ..... I'm not sure what is "wrong" with this.  It seems to work just fine in my game.

But for good measure.. here it is again.

Link to working Bamboo of glory in Havelocks post 53 - Thanks Havelock!

I think the objects don't look really Asian because the designs are supposed to be a mix of Eastern and Western influences.  The clothes give off that same vibe too.

I'm going to be able to get a little bit of stuff tomorrow morning.  I will look then to see what still needs to be bought.

If you put all the files in a folder on your desktop, zip it, then upload the zipped file to mediafire, that should work. :)

vestedjacket purple

maybe try redownloading them?

Hmm, do I need to actually run my game first before I upload them? I just copied them from TheSims2StoreEdition/Downloads/Skins without starting my game. I have no clue if this is right ha ha.

You shouldn't need to run your game first.  Relaunch your EA downloader and see if the files get redownloaded.
Check them with Cleaninstaller.  or if you don't have that launch body shop and see if they show up there.

The Potted Bamboo of Glory doesn't work for me either.

I have 200 sim points left...enough for two hairs or two outfits.  Would you like me to get the two female adult hairs that are empty packages in the earlier post, or should I see if that poster is able to fix those and get something else?

Title: Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection

The redownloaded bamboo of glory doesn't work or the original?   I reposted the bamboo of glory along with a functioning fountain wall hanging in post 22.   The thing is, the bamboo works for me so I don't know what is wrong with it to test to see if it's fixed or not.

I wasn't able to get either one to work.  Who knows though why these things work for some people and not others.  I have all the EPs and SPs...sometimes it can depend on what EPs a player has.  Thank you for putting it up again though.

Fixed Bamboo plant in Havelocks post 53  (Thanks Havelock!)

I updatedpost 22 to this same link as well.  Can someone please test this file and tell me if it works?
Again I'm still unclear as to exactly how it's broken as it seems to work for me.  I realize it is not working for anyone else though, but I'm not getting exactly what is wrong with it, so I am unable to test it myself.

i just tryed the plant an it shows up in the game alright but it wont let me place it all i get is air lol :-[

I'm completly stumped.    ???    It is able to be selected and placed in my game just fine.  I can use the recolor tool on it and everything.  I can grab it with the hand and move it after it's been placed.    I just don't understand this.   Can someone more awesome that I help out here?  Am I missing something obvious?

UPDATE
OKAY!  I've been able to reproduce the borkage!
The bamboo file my game uses that works fine is part of the SCObjects.package "packed" file that the Sim Store creates in the Sims2 Store folder.   When I removed the Sims2Store folder, put the seperate, single file of the Bamboo of Glory in my DL folder, and loaded the game, I get the same result as everyone else.  The thumbnail is there, but no recolors and it is not placeable.

Now how do I fix the single file?
UPDATE - removed link to Objects. package as Havelock fixed the Bamboo of Glory issue in post 53. Thanks Havelock!

NOTE - all of the clothing files originally were catagorized as both everyday and formal.  I removed the formal catagory from the

If you put files in Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Downloads files will appear with the custom star.
If you put files in C:\Program Files\EA GAMES\ {your latest EP} \TSData\Res\Catalog\Bins the items will not appear with a custom star.  Note this will only work for ITEMS not clothing or hair. These are best placed in your Downloads folder.

If you MUST HAVE FILES NOW I suggest starting with post 1 and reading through the entire post to replace or update files to get the correct files. It is amazing what you can learn when you read an entire post.  ;D  A convienent shinny collection will not be posted until all items are aquired and are fixed.

Simsbaby, this rug is missing:
Quote
50 SimPoints  Rugs of Energy by MA Designs

These rugs move with energy and bring every room they are situated in to life! If you're looking for a good vibe - you've found it!

I already made the collection file for these new items, as soon as the rug gets posted I'll post the Asian Fusion collection (and the updated Store collection). Also I fixed Havelock's fixed pant (Potted Bamboo Glory), it has retrieved "PlantGlobals" (I hate when EA borks plants like this, plants are plants! not paintings, not sculptures, not chess boards!).

I was wondering if those 4 empty package files from nicklovesllamas ever got corrected?  If not, I guess they'll have to be bought.  I ran out of points and my hubby said I have to wait till next week before I can buy any more.  I would of gotten the rug too if I would have noticed it.  I don't remember seeing one unless they recently added it.

i looked an so far those files are still MIA so hopefully he redownloads them

an the rug is a new object since collection started with 116 now it has 117 least Simsbaby now has something to spend her left over 50 points on  ;)

Is there a list of the not-yet-bought items ???

BTW, some reminders here to new sharers ( though i guess most people here have been using this method already )
*Reminder to Content Sharers*

Here is how to find the newly bought Store content if you have no idea how to do it in a faster way.

After your EA Download Manager has completed the relevant download. Do not run your game yet, otherwise you won't be able to find the separate .package file for the object or skin.
Now, go to *C:\Users\<Your Windows Username>\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Store Edition\Downloads (* it isn't necessarily the C: Drive, but it must be the drive where your Windows Operation System is installed) , look for the folder "Objects" for new object download and "Skins" for new skin download. Copy and paste the relevant .package file inside somewhere else. This is the file that is needed. If you are kind enough to share it here, upload the file. After that, you can run the game and then the files inside C:\Users\Vic\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Store Edition\Downloads will be incorporated into the bulk files SCObjects.package and SCSkins.package under C:\Users\Vic\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Store Edition\Packed automatically.

So if you share file this way, you can avoid the nuisance of finding and extracting the relevant contents from SCObjects.packgage or SCSkins.package.

PS. The above stuff is just there to help people who may not know how to share contents in a more efficient way. If you know a better way, feel free to correct me and post here.  ;)

What's left to buy? I'd like to contribute.

See post #6 by knightguy on page 1- he is removing items from the list as they get posted.  It looks accurate to me.

Well, if it really is that easy, let me get the missing hair, according to knightguys list:

Quote
Female Hair

Child

Cute Child's Anime Style Hair - 100 points

Teen

Teen's Stylish Modern Bob Hair - 100 points
Modern Teen's Asymmetrical Hair with Highlights - 100 points

Adult

Dashing Modern Bangs - 100 points    (Waiting for working one to be Redownloaded)
Modern Asymmetrical Hair with Highlights - 100 points    (Waiting for working one to be Redownloaded)

There you go:

Katze, what's missing is some of the clothes.  See Knightguy's reply #6 on page 1 for the list of clothes still needed.  We have all the objects and we have all the hair and so far everything works.  Some of the clothes have been bought.  Thanks bzrburns for getting the rug.  I couldn't believe they added it after all the rest of the objects had been bought.

You can still have them shown in the game even if you don't have The Sims 2 Store installed. Simply put them under Downloads folder under MyDocuments(Documents for Vista)\EA Games\The Sims 2

However, you may not have skins showing up in CAS if you have any game versions before Apartment Life unless you use SimPE to modify those skins so that they bear the "version info" of original Sims 2 game.

bless everyone who shares, bless simpe, and bless pescado for being the pirate he is.

to get stuff to show in your game (with asterisk, as it doesn't bother me):

open file with simpe.
open objd files RAW data.
if catalog sorting 0x0040 (valid ep flags 1) reads 0x1000, CHANGE it to 0x0001.
commit.
save after doing all objd's in file.

this will make the file base-game compliant and eliminate the need for store downloader.

i forget who originally posted this but bless them too.

merry christmas.   ;D

Edit: Shesim, Richief's updated TV is reply #20 on page 1.  As for the mirror, it was already working in my game when I first put it in.  The interaction to change your pet's appearance was already there.

TV is based on the updated version by Richief from this post (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,13824.msg394664.html#msg394664). Either AL or M&G is required. Broken FX was restored.

*Contributers, please redownload the broken files. Much appreciated!*

Actually those broken items can be redownloaded by EA Download Manager....(in case the files are only broken due to some problems encountered during the dowload; if not, that means EAxis created broken .package files and in that case the broken files cannot be fixed unless EAxis upload the updated ones)

Method 1
Now, go to C:\Users\<UserName>\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Store Edition and cut and paste "uContent.xml" somewhere else....
Open the EA Download Manager... Not finding the uContent.xml file, EA Download Manager will automatically download everything you have paid for at The Sims 2 Store.
Then you go to C:\Users\Vic\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2 Store Edition\Downloads and then "Objects" or "Skins" and you will find the .package files.
Upload those files that you think used to be broken previously.
Run the game and those newly-downloaded non-broken .package files will be incoporated into SCObjects.package and SCSkins.package automatically and you should find them showing up in game.

Method 2 *Faster*
Every step for Method 2 is the same as that in Method 1, except:
Do NOT move "uContent.xml" unless you will redownload everything from Store that you have paid for. If you have paid for say 100 items, Download Manager will start to download all the 100 items when you run it next time. This could be time consuming!
So now, instead, we open "uContent.xml" with and edit it with WordPad or NotePad or Word.
Find the item that you think is broken and remove its whole line. Of cox, before editing the xml file, I strongly recommend you back up the original copy first..
After the editing, run Download Manager and follow those steps to find the relevant .package files as mentioned in method 1.

So, we people can save money from buying something that have been bought. Hope this help.

PS. forgot to mention one thing. I guess some of the files are broken just coz they weren't uploaded properly. Would someone please find out all those broken or empty packages and make a list here so that we can contact the original uploader ASAP?? Once again, thank you all who contributed!

Hi
I'm asking this, accepting all flaming you want to throw at me.
I find this thread very difficult to find things and was wondering if someone could put all the hairs and clothes into sections in one post. Thanks.

We haven't even completed the collection. Be patient!

The decorative slots on 2 ModernAsian dressers were b0rked, as reported by Havelock.

Lord Darcy thanks for the extra slots on the latest Store set, would you be so kind to fix slots on the Dresser_Small_ModernAsian and Dresser_Medium_ModernAsian from the Asian Fusion set? The small dresser has a broken deco slot (unable to place anything on top but CRES has a slot entry)  and the medium dressers slots are to high, objects float above the surface.

Uploaded fixed versions.

Also fixed b0rked knob texture on the 1-tiled dresser. Previously the knob subset was linked to ModernAsian door. (WTF?) Now it's linked to the 2-tiled low dresser from the same set. If you remove 2-tiled dresser from your game, the knobs on 1-tiled dresser will flash blue.

Download: http://www.mediafire.com/?23zj1jkkwzt

ETA: Link fixed. Please re-download.

All objects that I personally fixed, cleaned up and improved are included as well.

  • Double Bed
  • 2 Dressers
  • Coffee Table
  • 2 End Tables
  • TV

Do you have an inkling how much work it is to collect pillaged files, weed out empty packages, sort through various fixed versions submitted by a dozen different people? And yet you expect people to keep up with pillaging progress whenever a new item is added or a b0rked shit is fixed? When all items are found and fixed, a complete collection will be made like all previously released sets. Either wait for the complete collection, or sort through yourself.

I don't want to sound rude, but this collection could already be completed, if only like 4 or 5 more people would have spent a couple of bucks to get the rest of the female clothes. What's still missing is worth around 25 $, so if 5 girls or guys would invest 5 $ each in purchasing and downloading this stuff, there soon would be a nice and shiny all in one collection, originally worth - I don't even want to calculate that!

I can see on my rapidshare account, that the hair I contributed got downloaded 368 times and the outfits 226 times. So, there is a high interest in this topic - just stop laming; get going! It's not all that difficult. I didn't know how to do it until I read this thread - if you don't know how to do it, I'm sure you'll get some help here. (Sorry for wrong spelling; this is not my motherlanguage!)

SiuPang, on Page 2 Reply #28 from nicklovesllamas, there were actually 4 empty packages and all 4 didn't get redownloaded.  So, they had to be rebought.  Which they did from two different people.  The two empty hair packages got rebought and the 2 empty adult male clothes got rebought.

Yo Jaldeer, I can't find the other two broken packages. Would you please help find it out and tell us what they are here?

The following are already known to be broken
ambodyvestedjacket_purple.package - nicklovesllamas
ambodyvestedjacket_blue.package - nicklovesllamas

Nicklovesllama, it seems that these two files are broken. Would you mind redownloading them with EA Download Manager and then upload them again?
And Knightguy please update the list of the 1st page to indicate that these files should be updated. Thank you all and happy Simming!

ReinyDay, I'd love to buy items from the Sims2Store except EA won't let me because I'm not from the US or Canada! That's why I don't even feel bad for them that simmers are sharing their items, I don't understand this restriction?

This is only a suggestion, but is it not possible to open up a paypal account where all of us who can't but want to contribute could send money too and this account could then be used to buy the store crap? I hope I'm making sense here, I think I just made a very weird sentence  ::)

Actually that makes a lot of sense, I think! I have a paypal account and I can buy from the store (even I am not in the USA or Canada). I'd be willing to take care of this, if we'd get 20 $ together (I'll take care of the rest then). Who else would like to contribute money instead of files?

course we'd need keep runing total to what people give since we only need 2325 points to get the 31 outfits since we have no idea if the store gonna be updated next month

If you know a better way, feel free to correct me and post here.  ;)

If you all wanted to, we could have a donation thread. Everyone could donate to my paypal account. When You donate, you would put in the thread when you donated and how much. That way everyone can keep track of how much is donated and would know what the balance is. What do you think?

I got the payment. I now have $18.18 on my account. I can add the rest of the money. How many points do I need to buy, and exactly what am I buying? Is it ALL the female clothes. Is that all I need to buy?

Title: Re: TS2 Store Asian Fusion Collection

  500  SimPoints   $ 5.00 + taxes
1000  SimPoints   $ 10.00 + taxes
2000  SimPoints   $ 20.00 + taxes

2325 SimPoints needed to get the 31 outfits

so you'd have to buy 25.00 if you dont have any points at all

I would say wait until the next set comes out. No point in people giving money until there is something to buy.

Yeah but on the other hand if we set it up so the money is pooled ready for when it comes out then it can be downloaded immediately and the awesome techies can do all the fixes that it will most definantly need and we can get almost straight away and in one lump rather than it getting strung out lke this one has ended up being.

The problem with that is there will end up being more money than needed and people could get scammed. I don't think it's such a good idea. It won't be spread out next time because one person will be buying. We already decided that.

well how about we compromise and create a thread for people to say how much they will donate ready for the next set so that we have a record and it can all be sorted out straight away and when the new set is posted they can be removed from the list once their donation has been made, that way people know who to contact, and since no money will be exchanged until it is out no one can be scammed and if we have more promises of money than is need, we can leave them on the list for future sets...

I think we should leave it as it is and resort to PayPal on an as needed basis. I spent $30 on this set and would have donated most of the furniture but I got over eager and downloaded from the Store before checking here.  I usually give myself a $20 a month Sim allowance. Go to Mediafire.com.  Click the giant green button that says, "Upload Files to Mediafire."  Then click the gray button.  From there, you can choose what files to upload.  You can also choose to add files to your upload.

After the package files have finished uploading, click "View Uploaded Files."  Then click the "Share" button across from the file names.  Copy the Sharing URL with File Name for all the files.  Paste the links here.

Edited for clearer and more complete (and more correct!) instructions.

There are still some empty packages.  Check clean installer to find the empty ones.   I was just looking at them with clean installer and there were quite a few and they will need to be redownloaded.

I don't know, but those 3 (afbodyfunkyuniform) aren't working for me, either. The weird thing is that CleanInstaller and SimPE are showing them with the right textures, but in BodyShop and CAS they are showing up as one of the outerwear outfits. Refreshing thumbnails and the like didn't help, and selecting the outfit puts them in the outerwear outfit.

I tried redownloading dawnkay's file, but it didn't make any difference. I don't have Store Edition installed, so I'm wondering if it's a property set issue or something like that? I've looked at the packages in SimPE, but can't figure out the problem.

EDIT: I redownloaded the outfits from Cerridwen's post on page 3 (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,13824.msg394952.html#msg394952), and they're fine now. Chadwick, give that a try as well.

the chair is centered as much as i can stand without going nuts an giving up

i think it be better without arms but since thats outtve my reach   :-\   if anyone wants to try to do it go for it  ;)

the Dining Chair is the same as Loveseat & Sofa as it takes its textures from Chair_Living_ModernAsian  so if you want to recolor them recolor that chair

Speaking of fixing things: I was hoping someone would make that window let in light, like windows tend to do, rather than make the room darker. I could even live with it not letting light in, as it's a screen window, but the increased darkness is just bloody insane.

Would someone be willing to set the flags for these objects to base game?  Right now, very few of the objects are showing up for the Mac game configuration (EPs up through BV plus FFS, GLS, and Holiday SPs).  The objects that ARE working are both end tables, the coffee table, both dressers (fixed by Lord Darcy), and the bed (fixed by Lord Darcy).

Lord Darcy, I was also wondering if you'd be willing to take a look at the Castle bed from the medieval stuff that was released.  Seelindaran tried to make it base game compatible but wasn't able to get it to work.  However, since you were obviously successful with the Asian Fusion one, I thought you might be able to work some magic on the Castle one as well.

And for what it's worth, I think using Paypal to gather Sims Store funds is a great idea.  Mac users, even if they are in North America, can't purchase from the store either.  If you add up all the users from outside North America and all the Mac users, you have a huge pool of people who have been enjoying the Sims Store bounty and would be willing to contribute to the cause but aren't able to access the Store themselves.  EA has stated that their plan is to release a new Store set each month - it's just not right for that financial burden to rest on only a few shoulders.

The original Cubic lights didn't give off any light.  And the original Deco light gave off something like 100 Environment, I think.

I've been working on them as fixes have come out.  Unfortunately, very few of the remaining objects show up with just a flag change: the arm chair, dining chair, and one floor lamp.  That's it.  I'm not sure if Lord Darcy just lucked out in picking most of the BV-compatible objects, or if she worked her magic on them... :D

I'll put up a link for the missing objects shortly.

ETA: As promised (http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=0ebec3ba58c50333d2db6fb9a8902bda).  This is knightguy's recolourable arm chair and dining chair: the cushions are made recolourable and the dining chair is slaved to the arm chair.  As well, the zip includes one floor lamp.  All three are flagged for base game, but note that the chairs probably require Pets EP or higher.

Thanks for the work!  Any additional objects I can get to work in my game are always a bonus.  I'll throw these into my game, hold onto the other objects in case we Mac users ever see another EP, and update my post from the previous thread so there's a complete list for linking.

Try change the 0x0000: version_1 - Read Only field in all OBJDs from 141 (decimal) to 140 (decimal). The 141 value was only introduced in FT, so pre-FT EPs won't be able to recognize such objects. I "downgraded" OBJDs in all my fixed objects. That's probably why they can be recognized in pre-FT EPs.

Remember that you have to change all OBJDs in multi-tile objects. If you miss one tile, it will be b0rked just like that Asian bed.

More information is here (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,12542.0.html).

Aha!  I did see that, but having thoroughly frustrated myself on chasing other blind leads, I didn't follow that clue to the finish.  I shall try again on some more objects and report back.

I have been updating all the OBJDs for consistency on multi-tile objects, so that definitely hasn't been the missing element so far.  Thank you!

Yeah the Sims 2 Store Hairs don't work. I think when you changed the file names from the regular Maxis names, it did something to them. Or rather just the Elder hair. Cause while people were just complaining about the Bun hair not working...all the Sim Store Hairs are showing up as long straight for elders in Bodyshop.

Thanks LordDarcy!  I just tried this with the the boarded up spooky window, that was basegame set using this method http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,12303.msg348611.html#msg348611 posted by Bastdawn.  After I did the additional change you listed, it finally showed up in my BV game!

I am going to try this fix on the remaining non-shows from the store to see if that fixes them.

Also, do I need to use SimPe to correctly bin the afmodernasym hair from red to custom?  I attempted to correct the purple white hair to show in the custom bin instead of red, however, was unsuccessful.   All the others are fine.

Can awesomeness tell me how to bin it in SimPe?  I've never used that for binning hair.

Three cheers for Lord Darcy! :D  Following her intrepid lead, I was able to revert all of the TSStore objects I had tucked away.

The Asian Fusion set (http://www.mediafire.com/?mjnmqgjkuzw) includes the seating made recolourable by knightguy.  For the sake of completeness, I also included Lord Darcy's fixed objects with extra deco slots; these are unchanged, except for the TV.  The TV has fixed animations, but doesn't require FT/AL.

The Castle set (http://www.mediafire.com/?y3ayctzjyom) now includes the double bed and chest.  I also made a bite-sized file of just the bed and chest (http://www.mediafire.com/?0wi1ntljhyj), if you already picked up my upload earlier.

The Spooky set (http://www.mediafire.com/?nmwzw2yynzz) has a complete set of windows and doors now, two columns, a fence lamp, the larger gargoyle, 2 jack o' lanterns and a funky cactus.

Lastly, the Cubic and Deco (http://www.mediafire.com/?vwgy3gjmvjw) dining chairs.  The rest of those sets had already been made compatible with earlier EPs.

Reminder: I tested these with all EPs up to BV.  Many objects are probably compatible with earlier EPs, but some may cause crashes (particularly likely if your latest EP is pre-Pets).

ETA: Corrected the Spooky set to include single and two-story columns.

are you sure that nothing is in the way of the door? a wall lamp or curtains or even another door are usually to blame for that.

There isn't anything there, but that is exactly what is looks like, when you add a window to a spot but the window sinks into the wall because you used moveobjects on to place it.  The door shows fine from the outside but the inside shows wall with frame and handle.  I will try to post a pic. I don't have internet at home, but will upload one tomorrow if I remember to bring to work.

Hey everyone, have you all seen our legal threat (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php/topic,13946.0.html)?  It's a good thing we only upload stuff to sites like MediaFire (http://www.mediafire.com/?sharekey=238be53f78102bcdd2db6fb9a8902bda) instead of hosting them here.

Anyone else notice the single door shows wall with frame when viewed from one side?  Is there a way to correct that borkage?  I am using the version fixed for BV.

Here is a .rar with the pic of the error I described.  I made a fresh wall and it still places with wall showing.  Is the door borked?

How strange!  You have all EPs up to BV?  And the door looks the same even if you place just one, yes?  I'll look at the packages again, and check my work.

Is anyone else seeing this problem, and if you are, could you tell us what combination of EPs you have?

I have all EP through BV and all SP through KBID stuff.

Just the one side of the door does that.

Well, I did check over the packages to see if I'd fat-thumbed anything.  There's nothing that I can spot, so maybe you could have a look at it, too?  I just set the same flags that we did for the spooky and castle sets, and then followed Lord Darcy's instructions for the set_version bit.

I also started to compare the door against others we got from the Store, just to see if I could spot an inconsistency, but so far, I've come up empty.  If more people report on this issue, maybe we can persuade Havelock to take a look at it.  So far, I haven't figured out why it's only borked for you.  What I see in my BV game is indistinguishable from the M&G installation. :-\

Silly question here.

I've had that happen with other doors when I had used "moved objects on", and forgotten to turn it off before I placed the door.  You didn't have "move objects on" when you placed the door, by any chance?

Nope no cheats on at all.

I am going to reinstall the door to see if that fixes the issue.  I can't see any flags set wrong or anything either.

Please don't nag.  It's annoying, and what you're asking for is illegal unless you've bought the CC from the Store.

However, if you have paid for these items, and you need fixes, or want the content converted for use in lower EPs, many links in this thread still work.  I think you can assume that the broken links are due to files removed as per EA's request.  Please don't ask or expect those people to disobey the law by uploading those files again.

We don't care about the legality, just so long as the files are stored off site rather than using a forum attachment (in other words, officially Not Our Problem).  If anyone would like to post the items on Mediafire, I will edit the first post of this thread to include the new links.

I'm not a mod, so I wasn't speaking for MATY.  Of course MATY would not care about the legality, because MATY is not doing anything illegal.  People who upload or download TSStore files are, and I think it's fair to state that.  Though MATY is not exemplary for polite discourse, I do think it's particularly rude to pester people to commit illegal acts.

There are different file hosting sites - no need to be reliant on mediafire - particularly if that's the one that has been noted. I really don't know why people like mediafire one anyway, Box.net is great, hasn't deleted my files yet and doesn't make you wait for a download. I'm sure there are plenty of others.

Hi, first off, I would like to say thanks to everyone who has been fixing the EAxis borkedness.

What I would like to know, is: Is it just me, or has anyone else had the problem with the the Asian lights not actually lighting up a room? Here's an example:
http://i473.photobucket.com/albums/rr97/Telraven/AsianLightsBorked01.jpg (http://i473.photobucket.com/albums/rr97/Telraven/AsianLightsBorked01.jpg)
And with a Paper ceiling light added to show the room with a light that actually works:
http://i473.photobucket.com/albums/rr97/Telraven/AsianLightsBorked02.jpg (http://i473.photobucket.com/albums/rr97/Telraven/AsianLightsBorked02.jpg)

I've been watching this thread to see if anyone else would post about this, but I haven't seen anything so far. I did see something about someone fixing a light from another collection, but it didn't say anything about these lights.

I couldn't pay for them if I wanted to, 'cause I don't live in North America. EAxis doesn't want my money!

Telraven,
if you have Storeobjects in Downloads or Bins folder, Asian objects must be loaded after other Storeobjects. Thatīs all.
Is for windows too.

You can pay a friend in the US or Canada to buy the items for you, or you can have that friend just buy a TSStore cash card, and download items from links here.  EA gets the money whether you ever redeem their card or not.

The legality of what you do in your country of residence is none of my business.  However, as someone who provided modified TSStore objects, it is somewhat important for me to state the intended purpose of the links I posted.  Understood?

I don't think I'm of any importance at all.  In this scheme, nor on MATY.

ETA: I don't know why you're butthurt.  Maybe my posting style just annoys you, but I honestly don't spend enough time or effort here to feel like my presence is of any significance one way or the other.  I hope that puts your mind at ease.

I do think that you've contributed an awful lot, and I'm appreciative of that in spite of not having gushed about it in the past.  I hope that you and others will contribute in the same way in the future, but due to that pesky intellectual property law I wouldn't be surprised if you didn't, and I wouldn't ask you to.  That is just a small courtesy, not demanded around here, but there you go.

I was trying to clarify the silly dance we do with EA around filesharing.  Certain activities are illegal in certain jurisdictions, and I couldn't give a rat's ass who indulges in them.  I do think everyone who does, should do so with some awareness.  That's all.

ETA: There are all kinds of reasons why a person would fileshare.  Maybe they don't think EA deserves the money.
Maybe they feel EA is perpetrating a fraud by selling broken objects without support or refunds.
Maybe it's not available in their country.
Maybe they are committing a political act of disobedience.
Maybe they just don't think they'll be caught.

Any reason at all is better than simply not knowing it's illegal.

We do it so openly here without any discussion at all, that I do think many participants truly are unaware.  I think this is precisely why there is confusion around PMBD activities, and sharing Store files.  I also think it would be a bad development if MATY became a place where everyone expected members to commit illegal acts, just because they have done so in the past.

I understand that the people who come to this thread are many and varied.  Some of them do want to stick it to EA, and if that's your cause, I have no war with that.  Until now, I doubt that anyone understood what you wanted to say, or why.

Of the people asking for links, I don't see how they're sticking anything to EA.  Many of them may certainly want to, but clearly they're not able to do anything meaningful about it, even if it's something as little as reading some previous pages to the thread.  Somehow, I don't think they're looking to make a political statement.

The more people get the files for free the less money goes into EA's pocket. Understood?

Absolutely, and if someone like you wants to assemble links into one post, I haven't ever even hinted you do otherwise.
If you want to share, then you'll do it whether someone asks or not.
If links are dead, it means those people didn't feel as strongly as you do.  Again, what is the point of asking?

To me, the requests seem entirely irrelevant, at best.  They just clog up the thread, but frankly all the Store threads belong more to you than to me.  If requests are what you want to see, then I'll leave you to them.

I could, but I honestly could not be bothered to go through all that trouble in order to give EA money for broken items. If I couldn't download them from here, I would not have bothered to get them at all. Even if I did live in North America. However, not offering the store items outside of NA is just yet another reason EA sucks.

The Spooky set (http://www.mediafire.com/?yym20gdxqny) has a complete set of windows and doors now, a fence lamp, the larger gargoyle, 2 jack o' lanterns and a funky cactus.

Thank you seelindarun for making available these 'backward EP compatable' sets that work on a mac.
I have a mac with all mac available EP's up to and including BV, and the FFS and GL Stuff Packs. Almost everything you have modified is working for me.
I say almost because I am unable to get either of the spooky columns to show up. FWIW all the castle columns seem to be showing up OK, it's just the spooky columns that don't show up.
Is anyone else on a mac or with a BV game having this problem? Is there something special I need to do to make the columns show up that I may have missed?
Thanks in advance for your help!

No, the columns were included in the "Spooky Things BV" zip.
I installed the columns in the same place I installed all my other TS2 store items, but they are they only TS2 Store items from your BV-compatible set that do not show up in the catalog.

Brain fart.  I simply forgot that they were missing from the catalog, and so didn't modify them.  I updated the Spooky archive (http://www.mediafire.com/?nmwzw2yynzz) to include the fixed columns.  There's also a smaller zip of just the columns (http://www.mediafire.com/?nxmyjjtyzcd).

Do let me know if they work for you, and thanks for pointing out my oversight.
