Title: Support the Evil Empire! BUY STUFF! - updated info within
Post by: Hecubus on 2008 September 17, 15:16:18
UPDATE: It has come to our attention that Zazzle's shipping costs are insane, making it cost-prohibitive to buy items if you're not on the North American continent. Thus, we have a deal for you - if you want to 'make your own', please make your payment via PayPal (see the other give us monies thread), and make a note that you want the zip of images. I'll then send it to you via the email you provide to PayPal. If you donated before the goods were available and wish to have the images, send me a PM that includes the email you used at PayPal (or the snail mail details).

The Zazzle store is now open (http://www.zazzle.com/cheezeserver)!

Please note that we have priced everything with an aggressive markup to get a few bucks off each sale - for the good of the order, of course.

Also note that more products have been added for your shopping pleasure.

Please note that these items are customizeable - color, shirt/mug design, etc. If you want a design on something that isn't set up (like the FFS on a sticker, for example), please make note of it here and we'll get it set up at Zazzle (http://www.zazzle.com/cheezeserver). Zazzle isn't great about letting Joe User customize across product types, only within product types.

Thanks again Kicks and stomps to BastDawn for managing the contest portion of this project!

Yay!  I note that the only item up at Zazzle right now is the FFS fridge magnet.  Presumeably moar will be added as the day progresses, or am I doin' it rong?

Same here Jolrei.

Do we know who made all these designs yet?

I would love to see that FFS logo on a shirt. I'm not big on magnets, but I loves me some t-shirts. :D

also, I would love to see the rest of the damn products actually UP on the zazzle...  >:(

underneath that pirate ship you should have it say:
say no to securom or something like that.

Anyone who has a Zazzle mousepad: are they the ones that feel like fabric with kind of a gel layer directly underneath the fabric? I'm trying to see if I'd be allergic to them, and it doesn't look like they have really detailed product info (most places don't, honestly). I suspect I will be allergic. I just really wanted a Retard-Oh one for home.  :'(

If you only get an allergic reaction when you touch it/work with it, could you not get one to decorate your home/office space?  You could then have it without suffering.  Admittedly, this defeats some of the purpose of a mouse pad...

I am only seeing the FFS button, for some reason.

Aw, FourCats thinks we're still on the design stage.

I have no idea what's going on. When I'm logged in, I can see it all, but when I log out, it's only the magnet. I've put in a help ticket... stay tuned.

It had everything to do with ratings - I'd put a higher-than-G rating on the items, as they're for a rated T game; unfortunately, unless you specifically say you want to see stuff rated PG-13 or R, you can't see them.  Everything's G-rated now... so everyone should be able to see it all. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Zazazu:

You could just print off the design and then laminate it. Then you can dry erase marker all over it.

Just a status report from one of the masses:  I can now see 6 items (two of which seem to be identical - women's baby doll t-shirt with the plumbbob design).  Nice macro->caffeinate mug.  I'll get that.

Lemme see if I can come up with something for you.

Would it possible to get this on a mug. I have too many t-shirts but not enough mugs! Lol.

Will load it now. It sould be available shortly.

Do Want "Moar Fight!" shirt in black.

You can customize shirt style, size, and color - click on the item, then click 'customize'.

Oh, I love the Macro mug! I want one in every color. Sadly, I don't drink coffee or tea so it would just be a waste of space (but I'll probably still get a yellow one, 'cause yellow is awesome).

I think we should have stickers and magnets of most, if not all, of the designs. Stickers and magnets are cheap and cheap will encourage people to buy MOAR.

JESUS CHRIST ON A TACO. Some of those custom tee shirt options are 50 BONES! Looks like getting the moar fight tee in black (which is what I want, too) is going to be about $32 on the low end. Wow, my Captain Hammer teeshirt was only like $20.

Yeah, and with shipping, the macro...caffeinate mug is $22.  Eeps

This was a thought I had. I will have to run a covert op and steal my coworker's transparencies.

I can't touch anything with neoprene or that diethyl diaza-whata without the immediate area turning red, burning like all get-up, and itching as well. Not even for a second. Buying new ankle braces is loads of fun...I have to bring anti-itch cream with me.

Yes, but I brought that up because black is not an option for the Moar Fight shirt.

Yeah, sorry about that, I fail at reading today.

Is it still possible to get a broken plumbob shirt, or has it been permanently transformed into a mug?

Oh Gods there are pins... I have this problem... I'm pin obsessed. Must have pins! MOAR pin designs please?

ETA: by pin I button  :D

How many pieces of flair do you wear?

Title: Re: Support the Evil Empire! BUY STUFF!
Post by: cwieberdink on 2008 September 17, 22:21:42

I do not wear pieces of flair, and never did. Ew. They hang lovingly on my wall. I used to cover my hemp purse with them but I lost many good buttons that way. *Admits that she had to look up "pieces of flair" because she has never seen Office Space. Hides in shame*

Hehe. It's okay.  I have it on the brain cuz we just watched Office Space last night.

Hrm. Let me see what I can do. Black should be an option.

Also - I will start putting all the designs on, well, everything. It takes a bit of set up time, but it's worth it. Expect them sometime by tomorrow night (a girl's gotta work, yanno).

It is an option. Just not as the basic "default" tee. You have to click over to the other ones in that little right hand widget thingie. Try "select a different shirt style." They have black American Apparel, ladyfit styles, and organic cotton.

Also, how much of this cashy is going to Cheezeserver, just out of interest?  I am loving the teeshirts.

Congrats to the other winners.

I would also like to know what the profit margin is on these things.

There should be dark backgrounds for the spork design, to make it show up better.  (You can choose a dark t-shirt, but you can't change the background color on other things.)  Will the broken plumbob design be available on a t-shirt soon?

The FFS logo would look great on a keychain or apron. I want the FFS mug, but not sure to buy (Shipping cost is more expensive than the object itself!).

I want one, too.  When people ask what I'm going to art school for, I will have something to show them.  Not that they will be impressed, but I'm impressed with myself, isn't that enough?  Also, I think I will put this in my portfolio.  Who knows, maybe there is a MATYian out there somewhere that really wants to give me a job.   ;D

Finally, the stuffs have arrived. :)

The mousepad looks okay, but my goodness it smells! It must have spent a week and a half inside some dampy container, packed in a cardboard envelope, so it must be washed ASAP.

The FFS shirt also appears devoid of any defect, and the fact it was delivered in an airtight plastic container provided some comfort to my battered olfactory senses.

I know, the shipping alone may have increased my carbon footprint by a factor of 10, but it was all for the greater good. ;D

Oh, I never get high before or during work (not even when I worked graveyard at a gas station), although I did used to keep a joint in the car ashtray to smoke as soon as I got off.  I may be a pothead, but I DO understand that it is a drug, and just as I wouldn't drink a six pack before clocking in, I wouldn't smoke a bowl, either.

Of course, I pretty much always smoke before I do schoolwork, and I am also pretty sure I was damn stoned during at least part of the time I was drawing the logos.
So, I cannot guarantee I won't be stoned while doing any free-lance work, but it doesn't seem to effect the quality, does it?  Of course, maybe if I didn't smoke before drawing, I might be headed for the title of ARTIST, rather than GRAPHIC DESIGNER, but much of the art out there makes me seriously doubt that, too.

On a side note, I am out of pot right now, and devastatingly sober.   :(

Perhaps not terribly relevant, but I just recieved my Macro coffee mug.  Arrived really fast, and was packed to resist breakage in case of being thrown around like a beach ball.  Seriously, way more bubble wrap than mug.  So, two gifts in one!
