Title: Walkby fix v2
Post by: crammyboy on 2005 November 04, 22:09:44
Fixes a problem where sims will gather around a portal doing nothing.
This is caused by the pedestrian portals being at different heights on the lot.

If you had a version before version 2 you will need the sectionalSofaFix as well

Install into downloads directory.

For Nightlife only

V2 is a tidy up and separation of the sofa fix

Do you have any idea why this happens or what causes the pedestrian portal to be on this "different level"? How does it get there?

So if I take this version I don't need the sectionalsofafix?? I am a bit confuse here.

Do I need to remove the sectionalsofafix and replace it whit this one instead?  Or do I place both?

The first version of this hack included the sectional fix. In version 2, he yanked it out and made the sectional fix a separate file. So now you want both, but make sure you have the walkby fix version 2. If you have version 1, get rid of it.

I think is was something to so with the orrignal sims2. I have a lot where the ground along the pavement is raised. I have no idea how it got like that and I couldn't make another lot like it.

Could it be that the lot originally was raised one level so the ground slopes up from the pavement, and then before you build you level everything off so any slopes are at the rear of the property, but for some reason the game thinks you didn't do this?
