Title: IdleHaven Revisited - now with beach lot capability

A couple of people commented they liked my IdleHaven terrain, only it was made pre-BV with no beach lots.

So this is IdleHaven Revisited, with room for 11 jumbo sized beachlots and not too many corners to disguise.

I'm now off to find the terrain replacement tutorial.  ;D I want to use it myself.

To save you reading the entire thread like I did, this is what has to be changed now, with the new names. I got the collated info from Kyna's post.

Thanks! I will try this asap. Got so much stuff to do before I actually start to play today, had a few days off you see :D I still want to do my flat version of 73 RTN.

Thanks Lord Darcy, you and Strangel were the people I was thinking of when I modified this. Particularly as you've shared so much, it's nice to repay in a small way.

BTW There are no trees left on the lot, the pictures lie. The trees kept importing in odd ways, so I got rid of them all and left it up to people to decorate as they please.

Emma, I just started 73 RTN tonight. Oh my! It's not looking at all as I thought and there's a real surprise in the cellar.  ;D

Can't wait to see :D I am just going to do mine now. I haven't a clue what I am going to do with my flat version.

I'd better go cover all my open ground with paving and remove a few bathrooms from all my lots so Pescado recognises my work ::) Duh. Silly old Pescado.

I just use Hood Replace now, from MTS2/Mootilda. Got a rather interesting result on Silent Crossing when I forgot to delete a couple lots before replacing and now there's this warped needle coming off of the mountain. It works.

@Z - I looked at that utility, but then I thought I'd learn more by doing it myself. I had to do it a second time because most of the Desiderata houses popped up in the middle of the bay.  :D

Just a note, I put 73RTN on the bottom layer of this hood and the basement flooded; I've got a warning up at Laverwinkle, but not here. Because of the beach fronts, the ground is quite low there.

PS. You'll also need a camera mod to see all of it.

Yeah, anything with a basement and/or deep pond will flood at sea level. I found that out when I used some really flat terrains from Sporum. Crypt-O-Night club looked really funky with the flooded dancefloor :D

I've used one from the beginning, I don't even know whose it was, now.

It lives in the C:\Documents and Settings\witch\My Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Cameras folder.

I use Gunmod's Camera Mod, from MTS2. I prefer version A. It's old, but it still works perfectly, and makes getting shots of large lots and close-ups of sims truly possible, plus will show you an entire 'hood terrain. I like using every last bit of my 'hood.

Really? I used to use it (and loved it). I added a few lines to accommodate pets in CAS, and it seemed to work fine. Then I saw all the new camera mods popping up, so I figured some newer expansion pack had crippled his. I'll dig mine out again and give it a try.  8)
