Title: A few of Argon's private hacks [Updated 8-4-2008]
Post by: Argon on 2008 February 09, 18:48:42
UPDATE 8-4-2008:
ArgonTokensYAY.7z (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=11060.0;attach=9241)
Pescado's sleep clock as of 8-3-08, even more useful now that the townie brick has options for setting a Sim's sleep outfit preferences! Shiny graphics added as well. Enjoy ;)

UPDATE 8-3-2008:
Argon sorryitslate.7z (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=11060.0;attach=9232)
not really much of an update, just fixed townie brick for freetime, and sleepclock as of 6-28. LS-PC is replaced by my LS collection now.

UPDATE 2-24-2008:
Ack! Reset in zomg-nekkid fixed as well as fixing Teens to work as advertised, I'm not blond.. mostly. Also added townie brick (see below for description). Everything thrown into Argon_closet-v2.zip now, no other changes.

Had these in my downloads folder and finally got them working to my liking ;D All downloads assumed to be for BV.

argon_dresser.package
- Adds "Get Naked" to dressers
- Naked Sims will autonomously get dressed without selecting a random outfit (one of the annoying things about Dizzy's variation)
- Visitors will change out of swimsuits
- Visitors staying the night will change into PJs at night if they are wearing swimsuits or naked

Argon_floralcenterfix.package
- Prevents the "lost" floral centerpiece from disappearing downtown, won't restore it if it's already been deleted.

Argon_LS_pc.package
- Reward PC from Life Stories updated for BV

Argon_luckyshrine.package
- Cheaty hack for the lucky shrine, prevents failure from happening and will do nothing instead.

argon_towniebrick.package
- Make your Sims a Townie, Dormie, Downtownie, Garden Club, or Vacation Local (not Tourists)
- Clean up a stuck garden inspection controller
- KILL the "Smells Bad" emitter DEAD! bwahaha (usually left over from stinky pets)

Argon_sleep-naked.package
- Enables the "Sleep Naked" option on beds and coffins for Teens+
- Include Naked as a personality chosen sleep outfit (high outgoing; made Teens require <50 comfort on top of that)
- Only shy Sims will woohoo in undies, otherwise naked
- High outgoing Sims will not get dressed (undies) after sleeping naked if another action is queued

Conflicts with Dizzy's bed-flamingo-dress.package! but not really needed if you choose sleep naked enough times. Also conflicts with TwoJeff's Smart Beds (replacement below)

Argon_zomg-nekkid.package
- Makes naked awareness smarter
- Children and below have a 50% chance of freaking out when seeing anyone naked, or 100% if shy
- Adds reaction for streakers, you streak for attention dammit! Argon_zomg-nekkid.package discontinued and merged, delete it before installing.
Prevents Freaking out over:
- Sims of the same gender, unless gay and attracted to them
- Lovers
- Other naked Sims while naked
- High outgoing towards naked Sims

Shy Sims will still freak out in most cases, and only personality and nakedness will prevent shock outside. Conflicts with any other "No Shock for Outgoing" hack.

BVNoPreggiesSpoon.package
- I didn't make this, and I forget where it's from. It was bundled with community lot sleeping, so that was removed because I use something else for that.
- Pregnant Sims don't spoon with their partner in bed

Mike_1102_FreezeVBTokenDurationDecrement.package
- The original creator refuses to acknowledge their mistake (http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?p=1788090#post1788090) and the BFBVFS it can cause.
- Fixes that stupidity and changes the long pie menu string to Adjust.../(Un)Freeze Vacation Bonus

sleepclock.package
- Modified version of Pescado's sleepclock; clothing preference will actually be used instead of always choosing PJs

Smart Beds.package
- Latest version of TwoJeff's Smart Beds mixed with my sleep naked hack

SW-Beta-NoPlateStealing.package
- Adds TwoJeff's cheesecake 50% twins fix to SimWardrobe's hack (http://www.paladins-place.org/BETA-Plate-Stealing-Fix.htm)

Gonna try this.  I get so annoyed when sims freak out to see their partner/lover naked.

Oh, yeah. I've been using zomg-nekkid since Argon posted these, and just wanted to say that they are working as advertised. Definitely less stupid.

Hey Argon, just curious, do you plan to update for FT?  TJ reports his Smart Beds needs an update but I really prefer your version...

Yes, there will be an update. I'm preparing my laptop for FT as I type this.

Gracias, and good luck with your installation.  :)

Wait, says here (http://box156.bluehost.com/~aestudi1/forums/inteenimater/viewtopic.php?f=30&t=993) that smart beds doesn't need an update, so that one should be fine.

Still need to look at the others though.

Does the "towniebrick" replace "makevacationSimlocal"?  If not, what is the difference and are they compatible with each other and/or Free Time? And, is there a readme or a set of instructions for the Towniebirck somewhere?

Argon, your Townie Brick was causing an error when I clicked on my sims. It isn't a hack conflict as I ran a clean game with just this mod in to test. Attaching error log now.

Argon, did you ever update your Townie Brick?

Post by: Argon on 2008 August 03, 07:40:14
No I didn't, I found out what was causing the resets though... I had apparently attached a bcon that I was using to keep track of all the npc families and forgot about it, it was unrelated to the brick and it got changed with Freetime. I should update that thing again since I keep getting those stupid stuck stink emitters for dogs again, give me a sec while I find it.

Edit: attached, also new version of pescado's sleep clock as of 6-28-08 11:27pm.

Ooh! yay ;D The brick is just so useful, much better than the npc gun. Thanks Argon.

Townie brick updated, new features:

-Print report with token values for sleep outfits
-Add count to each token (ie. set your Sim's autonomous sleep outfit without sending them to bed! Also useful since the naked token works even if the menu option isn't available)
-Clear all sleep outfit tokens

ihad en error whrn visitors tried to change clothes, I guess removing autonomy to the change clothes interction of this mod solves the problem.

Can you describe that a little more? It's kinda hard to fix if you don't tell me anything  :P If they started the action at all, then it's some other mod conflicting.

Risking the scary man to ask -- Argon, I found a hack in my downloads called 'argon arch'.  I have no idea what it is, where I got it, or if it's even needed anymore.  What is it?

It is a fix for the 'arch' face templates that EAxis 'forgot' to include for children and toddlers. I am sure it is still needed.

Ah, thanks Emma!  I had it in the wrong place -- now I can put it in its proper place and not worry about it.

Are you sure it wasn't "argon_archfix.package"? That one fixes 2 of the templates to show up on all ages (was only on adult/young adult).

Otherwise I think it might be the test package I made to demonstrate how to add new archetypes, if that's the case it's a set made from my self sim and it isn't needed unless you want random Argon-looking townies (unless you replace the meshes with something else of course).  :P That was more of an "oh look this is cool!" hack because someone asked how to do it and no one else had done it before.

And not many people have done it since!  It's bloody hard!  (I've been meaning to ask you if there was any way I could bribe you sometime to turn the set I built on your concept set into an entirely separate one.  I've tried more than once and failed.  :/ )

I might be bribed with screenshots for the LS objects, I've been meaning to do that but I'm not artistically inclined (and I'm lazy) haha.

Send me the set and I'll see what I can do.

Actually, I have both the 'arch' and the 'archfix' package.  Guess I can dump the 'arch' one then. :)

I think I can do that!  :D  I'll get those screen shots together and send you a PM link to my files when I'm done.  Thanks!

can i just ask....if i want to have the funtions of the zomgod nekkid (yeah, i know its discontinued and merged)
what was it merged with?
(does'nt realy want most of the others, but i do want my sims to react better to the streakers befor i unleash my student version of Capn Jack Harkness onto my unsuspecting dormies ^^  ;D since every streaker would make him cheer hehe)

so, i want to know which one i need to get to make use of the functions from the zomg nekkid (rather than try grabbing them all )

Umm that's a good question, it's been so long since I've looked at any of these hacks so I don't remember. I still have Argon_zomg-nekkid in my downloads folder so my best guess is that note is actually meant for something else (sleep naked maybe? that one did get merged with smart beds, but I don't use TwoJeff's hack anymore so I dunno).

I've seen one other set on MTS2--a 'furry' anthropomorphic type deal.  The creator claimed he had plans for more, and even specified what sort index numbering he intended to use, but they haven't appeared so far.  Linked below for the curious.

http://freya.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=277425 (http://freya.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=277425)

(And Argon just turned my 28th template set into a unique one that won't conflict with his.  <3)

*Argon shudders

I didn't know about that one until just now... I'm kinda wishing I didn't. Anyway, sort index doesn't really matter, it's just for organizing the icons in CAS/Bodyshop, all that matters is that none of the instance ids conflict.
