Hey JMP,

How much longer until you get the NL EP? :P

Inquiring minds and all that ::)

Well, he said 6-8 weeks, and it's been nearly a month.  I don't think he is in a hurry to get it.  Maybe he's waiting for us to find all the bugs for him.   :-\  I'm just glad that all the other modders are on the ball and have most of theirs ready for NL and that there are enough of JM's mods that seem to work okay with NL to tide me over until JM gets to work.

Well, it did change for a few days, but it's back to Katze again.  Can't remember who it was those few days, it was someone I didn't know.

He's laying low after an atlercation with a pizza boy that went bad.  See, said pizza butt wouldn't come to the door to deliver the cheesey pie, said JM said to walk to his car to get it.  Then pizza butt had the nerve to ask for a tip.  So JM speared him, ate all 16 pizzas in the car, washed it down with the pizza boy's blood then stripped nude and wore the pizza boxes on his person as a sign of his manhood.

Of course authorites are only after JM for the 39 seconds of nudity.  We don't care about violence around here.

Well, if he was in the buff, I imagine there were more obvious signs of his manhood than pizza boxes! ;D

And, no, older men's bits don't shrink, rather they head south just as other saggy portions of the body might as you get older. So, I reiterate... eewww!

Dunno, but they did some kind of research on fertility and found that men over 50 were more fertile than 20-year-olds!

So it seems, if your daughter is desperate for a baby, have her marry one of dad's mates!  (Or even Grandad's!)

Back in the 80's, companies would talk about their new software being released in 90 days.  Always 90 days.  If you checked back 4 months later, they still said "90 days."  Anyone remember that? :)  Besides Pescado, that is.  Hehe!

Pesc is livin the sims 2 high life!

He is just pretending not to have nightlife to drag out how long people as paying for the site waiting on fixes!

Indeed. That comes to 11,171.35, and even with the expected effects of the one for two for one deal, it still comes to an impressive 11,171.35! Not bad for someone who's probably selling nuclear weapons technology on the side.

You know, that pimply-adolescent theory could hold water. The 6-8 weeks may be the amount of time it takes to save up his allowance to buy the game.
Silly Brynne. If money was really the issue, I'd just increase the subscription fees!

That reminds me, I need to pay my renewal fees. Is the special still in effect?
Wait a minute. Are you saying you didn't take the lifetime special (paid in advance)?

Did you read the fine print on that? It's only good for a sim's lifetime, which is approximately 70 sim days (I think) or about 28 RL hours.

Actually, I did. The small print says nothing about using aging off, and Inge's Heirloom Cake. It also declares the contract revalid if the sim is resurrected. Plus, I spend far too much time on MATY to do something as time-consuming as playing. Just check the "More Stats" link at the bottom of the home page to find out just how long I've spent here.

You'd think that someone who makes hacks would be able to spot loopholes like that.

6 to 8 more weeks,  he said that a month ago.

He's a sadist I tell you,  he just wants us to beg and cry and call him "more awesome"  until we have satisfied his ego and then maybe he will have mercy on us.   :P

But don't hold your breath.    ;)

My thinking is that he HAS Nightlife and has been playing it since before it was released.  He's just waiting until we all give up on the concept that he will ever make hacks for it, and then mysteriously put of a gaggle of them.

I have my monthly fees pulled directly out of my checking account as part of my contract. Should I worry?

I place my vote on some sort of Secret Project involving either the flaming thing, the furious state, or running people over.

Only if you suspect JM of being a likely candidate of check fraud.  I'd go ahead and do it, but terminate it if you start to see things pop up like "Weapons-Grade Plutonium-Enriched Ballistic Missiles."

I hope it's running people over.  Even without any new animations... add a 'Commit Vehicular Homicide' option to the car menu which calls up the phone list (and maybe a 'random townie' option), the sim drives off and returns after an hour with said unfortunate's urn in their personal inventory.  And one of those happy corner messages.  "Ralph has earned §348 by robbing Kennedy Cox's corpse!"

I don't kill sims much, but I probably would if there was a less passive-aggressive option.  I blame too many comics in those important teenage years.  If I'm going to have a neighbourhood villain, I'd prefer a hand-on psycho to my current option of 'I shall miraculously and instantaneously move you into a small exitless room by the mysterious power of my utter disregard, then become frustrated because I can't get at you to play kicky-bag until you die - when I gain nothing and cry like wuss'.

LOL! That is a great idea! But I would prefer that ayou could choose which townie/npc to kill.

Great idea.  Joe Carr (no pun intended) would be the first on my hit list.  I'm just to lazy to mess with the cowplant and I'm toomuch of a softy to be able to sit and watch sims suffer and die.

Fire is plenty quick, although die by flies is near instantaneous and you dont have to put up with the fire panic by onlookers. Of course taking hold of them and having him/her use the energizer when they are in the green or less is pretty handy too. (after sucking out their skills with the vac of course)

With NL and for lots with vampires, tke control of a townie walking by on your lot and have them look in the vampire's coffin three times in a row.   ;D Pretty quick and no mess to clean-up - just a profit from selling the urn.  ;D

I haven't played much with vampires.  I didn't realize they could look in the coffin or that it could be fatal.

you don't even need to use a hack, you can just have another sim dark them to peek.

Just before I restarted my neighborhood, I let some vamps run wild. They can be fun but I don't like the way that once you let them loose in the neighborhood, there's no turning it off. When sims look in the coffin, they get scared - just like with a ghost - and their needs drop. Depending on the level of the sim's needs, it will usually take 2-3 (rarely as many as 4) scares in a row to wipe out a townie.  Not like I've had any practice with it.  ::) I especially liked using it in Uni. Every mascot, cheerleader and other uni walkby that I couldn't stand suddenly got irresitable urges to repeatedly look into the coffin.  ;D

You know, I saw a car drive right through a sim yesterday. I know the "Watch Out!" interaction is meant for preventing such mishaps, and I don't remember what the circumstances were exactly that allowed this to happen, but it was disappointing and impressive how life just went on.

Death by automobile would've been such a great addition to this game. Ending all those damn pillow fights in the road...could have been a mini-game.

When I first got the Sims, I didn't pay attention that you needed to be in gold aspiration to use the reward objects safely. I watched in horror as one sim almost died after using the energizer. It's real annoying too when you select they energizer and they are in gold and as they step into the machine, they turn green. It took several "near" fatalities before I realized that you can cancel the action out as they are in the energizer and they'll stop using it immediately instead of waiting for the full cycle to finish. I thought you just had to watch in horror as their needs dropped.  ::)

I did that once, too.  And he kept looking at me while he was being electrocuted by the stupid thing!!  He stepped out, peed in the floor, then fell over dead.  It was actually quite creepy, since it was one of my favorite sims.  But, I just quit without saving, and the next time I played he was safely on his couch watching TV.  LOL

I think that JMP has NL already, too, and he's just spending hours upon hours exploring the code to it and coming up with ways to use the flamethrower decoraition as a way to burninate townies.  :)  Marsha Bruning 1st, please, JMP!  :)

I forgot about the "being in Gold" requirement and was puzzled (heh, brain fried as was veeerry tired) when something didn't work as expected. What a pillock! It was the Thinking Helmet, I believe, and the poor bugger just keeled over after peeing himself. I still laughed like a hyeana... Bad simmer, bad.  :D

Joe Carr? Really? I see him so rarely that I forget all about him.
For me, it would be the stalkers Jan, Tosha, brats Chandler and Chloe who's dog ugly and the first to follow my kids home.

I am pretty soft too, but I use Merola's mirror to grab them and age them up until they die. If I'm feeling bad, I will boost them to platinum before that final 'age up' from elder. That way, anyone who tolerated them enough to be best friends is mildly rewarded (which seems fair compensation for me killing their friend) If they just annoy you, you could always change them to toddlers (in game or in pe) and they won't bother you again.

edit: I forget about how much I hated Marsha. I actually grew her up to teen and with a hint of makeup and different hair, she's not bad at all. Sort of like a female Orlando, first girlfriend, first kiss, town bike, whatever. I invite her over to change diapers or play with the toddlers and she falls for it every time.

Well I don't purposely do it. ;) I'm so used to my sims always being gold or platinum that I forget and sometimes through them into the darned thing or have put the smart cap on and made them pass out and lose a skill to boot! Thank goodness the skillnator is idiot proof.  ;D
