Title: SIM IS LIKE A BROKEN SHOWER
Post by: simofborg on 2006 November 17, 02:12:04
Hi! my sim tried to fix the shower and the spraying water effect transfered to her, she has been walking around this way for 10 sim days, does anyone know how to take off this effect?

What do you mean, it "transfered" her? I've heard of bubbles getting stuck, but not too much about thing happening when fixing a shower.

Also, as a general guideline, I suggest you don't post your thread title in all caps. It would be appreciated.

I mean she looks like the shower looks when a sim has tried to fix it and failed. Sorry about the caps I'm new to the site and don't know all the rules yet.

LOL! I had that same thing happen to Lilith Pleasant. She stayed that way for almost a sim day. Finally I used move-objects to delete her. When I re-entered the lot, the spray was gone.

"Um, hello... I need a plumber right away. I seem to have sprung a leak!"  :D

I've done that before with babies that got stuck, so I did with Aeronwy  and it worked. Thanks so much for taking the time to answer, and remind me of that trick, I not so good with the lateral thinking and problem solving these days.

I'm totally going to have my sims obsessively fix showers until one of them gets this. So funny.

LOL Rohina! I think there should be a hack to make your sims squirt water everywhere on purpose!

LOL@Rohina! If you're trying to make it happen, it probably won't.  :D  It was pretty hilarious looking!

Simofborg, glad I could be some help.

It looks like Lilith is lying to whoever she's talking to and is sweating about it... :)

Not really a rule, but a matter of good manners at all sites.  Typing in all caps is the same as screaming at the person(s) you are addressing.

Did anyone else think they were going to find an odd, philosophical sort of post when they clicked on the link?  Or maybe a poem?  (I thinik it's the all-caps heading that did it, and the fact that I read it as a simile rather than actual, accurate description.)

Back to topic, I find that I end up with bubble-butt Sims quite often after they use the bubble bath, and also Sims that get stuck with the 'stink cloud' even when 100% clean because it didn't clear after a shower.    Generally it happens if I've been using the fast-forward button while they're doing it.

It usually goes away on its own eventually, but if not, then yeah - moveobjects on and delete works, as per Tina G's suggestion.

Or force an error on the sim.

Have your sim drink the elixir while you're in 3speed, then hit normal in the middle of it or pause them, then start it back up in 3speed..

I once had Penelope Burroughs (my non legacy family's CAS half-alien daughter, all growned up) wandering the house for four days glowing and swirling. I thought for sure it was an accident, so once I fixed her (drank more elixir, this time without interruption/speed changes) I tried it again. I've done it a half a dozen times now.. it still cracks me up. Speaking of which.. it's been a while since I had her glow...

Nope, you aren't the only one. I'm glad I'm not the only one either.
