Title: Vampire fix - not so fixed anymore?
Post by: Tigerlilley on 2006 July 03, 02:01:17
hey everyone,
I've been using Pescados vampire fix (the one that stops vamps biting npcs) for a while now and its been all good...

until last night while at a community lot where i blatently saw a Countessa bite a npc.

This is the first time ive seen a vamp since ive installed OFB and FFS, is this fix not compatible with these expansions?  Is there a updated version anywhere?

Yes custom content is enabled.

Thanks for any help :-)

*jumps in quickly so no one can say she's been slacking*

Do you have the most recent version of the hack? Be sure and check the time/date stamp.

*jumps out so the more awesome people can help*

I'm assuming we don't need to translate tigerlilley....it looks crystal clear to me except for the backwards adverb, but really, who's picky?

Did she bite an NPC, or a townie? Townies can occasionally be bitten.

Elf - well yes i was enquiring if there was a updated version...hence the point of me posting, um translate what?

JM - my mistake it was a townie.  So I take it all is well and im not going to have a overflow of Vamps?

I'd rather no one be bitten at random to be honest.. otherwise is there a way to influence a townie to drink the vamp cure stuff?

Dream (Tigerlilley), don't worry about it.  Your post was fine.

If you don't want your townie to be bitten, you can either temporarily take control of him with Merola's mirror or testingcheats, or use a Sim to influence him (I think that one would work).

I don't know why this is an issue. I've met vamps loads of times and they NEVER bite townies, I thought you needed a high relationship score to get bitten by a vamp?
Probably wrong again...

Blue! :waves: Yeah cheers i might try that actually i haven't had a go at Merolas mirror yet.  Good to see you by the way! Has been a while.

Avie - it just makes things hard if your friends with said bitten townie and you can only ring or see them at night...i don't think its absoulute that you need a high relationship it just helps things if you want to be bitten.

Well no vamp I ever met goes around biting townies. Unknown. But there again I have a mac. Perhaps it is working properly?

They won't bite other sims until:

A:  The sim you are controlling has a high relationship with them and you're just letting them stand there waiting for it to happen.

or B:  You influence them to bite another sim.

After this happens its open season on your playables and townies.  And soon your hood will become infested.

With vampirefixes, no playable sim will be autonomously bitten while not being played, because this can kill them when you return to their home lot.
