What scares me more is the uncanny almost-anime-faced doll and the cross-eyed mother. I like the Dr's face, that's one of the better TS3 faces I've seen.

Nah, not my kind of thing. Dolls are cute until they start to look too real and have those creepy eyes. Gretchen didn't have creepy eyes. However I confess, if I found a TS3 doll similar to the one made for TS2, using a toddler sim mesh...
