Title: Fix Request: Peein' Klaus
Post by: Witches on 2005 November 23, 22:15:20
"Santa Klaus" arrives, eats my damn cookies, leaves a toy, and then goes potty. Again, and again, and again. He won't leave. I can't ask him to leave.

He always goes to the top floor of the house and then gets stuck in the bathroom. He can wander around, he just can't leave the room. And his constant ho-ho-hos grate on my nerves. I have to exit without saving.

This is making me hate Christmas.

I want my money back, but as that's not likely to happen, second best would be a fix.

Am I the only one this has happened to?

From who? Pescado might get it in time for next Christmas. ;) I don't know if TJ or Crammyboy care enough to bother. :P I wouldn't if I were them.

What triggers him to come? The cookies? Don't bake 'em.

But how can he leave you coal if he comes and there's no cookies? Do you make them and then snarfle them all before he gets there?

Yeah... I was wonderin' the same thing. I suppose that could happen. Seems to make the most sense. *shrugs*

Either that or get the wonderful bug that the cookies dissappear the moment they get taken out of the oven.  ::)

Hey, I had that happen. Stupid visitors I hadn't known were there snuck into the kitchen and ate them all. For the longest time I couldn't figure out why I got coal. Then I saw the two townies in the hottub out back and it all became clear.

The more I read about that add-on here and elsewhere, the happier I am that I don't have it.

Off topic, I wonder how will his underground bunker look decorated...

I don't see Pescado as being the type to decorate for Christmas.  More of a Scrooge type.

Ditto on this.

It seems like this little mini-pack comes with nearly as many bugs as a full-blown expansion. In fact they should use that in an advertising campaign. Quite a bargain. More bugs for your buck.

Yeah, I'm never baking them again, but I have a kid who plays and Santa's the only reason I bought the stupid pack. OK, and the Halloween decorations, which also are not behaving themselves. So i'm really pissed off that I wasted $15 and possibly added more bugs to an already buggy game.

Grrrrrrr ... makes me really not want to buy any more EPs.

Don't buy the Holiday pack, is my advice.

Uh, you do know those are free already, right?

God, no. Everyone I know who's got the Holiday Pack said Santa just pees and pees (http://www.livejournal.com/community/thesims2/1625054.html#cutid1). Various wags have suggested that he has prostrate trouble, or that it's not pee that's coming out of the horny old man *shudder*.

Indeed.

In fact I don't think someone could pay me the 15 bucks to install it on my computer.

Yeah. I second that disgust.

You have to, at the very least, be thirding the disgust - because I thought it was pretty gross as well. That's why I wrote *shudder* afterwards.

But, y'know, Maxoid humour being what it is... it wouldn't surprise me if he pees constantly on purpose.

And that if you thought they were lame the first time round, you've no way of getting rid of them now!

You mean, that's it? Just oversized decorations? No trick or treating or anything? How lame. I still have them, so not a big deal. I just thought there would be more.

I was trying to make Santa pee himself and discovered he will vanish immediately if you delete all your toilets.  Has anyone tried locking him up? I can't get my trees to catch fire and kill all the revelers; Santa torture is my last hope of getting some entertainment from this pack.

Get a reindeer- theres always a chance it will kill someone through electrocution if they pet it. Might work bet with one of Inge's doors, if you dont want your sims to die.

I tried locking him up and setting his motives to zero, but all he did was walk around the room, complaining about a toilet or belly laughing.  I tried setting a fire nearby, but he didn't catch, and then he disappeared, so I'm not sure if he's fire proof or not.

I can't even get anyone to die via reindeer. They pet it and pet it and nothing. I remember the good ole days, when Christmas meant death.

Maybe if you put Santa in a locked room with the reindeer, he'll pee on that. It is electric...

Say . . . you know how it's theoretically possible to give male sims to pee on graves and other objects?

Heh heh heh. I may have to actually learn how to hack for this.

ROTFLMAO!!!!

You know, I think that Maxis is just trying to take our money and murder our Sims!!  1st they make the "Runs With sicsors", and now this pack with the shocking reindeer and the deadly fireworks!!!!  Take my money, and kill my sims!!  Maybe they should just change their brand name from "Maxis" to "Mortis" ;)

I want my sims to die. At least, some of them. And I don't want to have to pick.

Sim Santa is impervious to torture. I hate Sim Santa. I'm staying up this Christmas and we'll see how the real santa likes it >:(.

Huh. I tried that, he was still there. Of course I deleted them before he arrived, anticipating problems ... maybe if I delete them while he's on the premises?

But how sick is that? My kid wanted to see Santa and instead she gets a fat old man with a prostate problem.

I think we should demand a fix from Maxis. That's just wrong.
