Title: Where is "Add to Active household" hiding? (Solved)
Post by: pbox on 2009 July 24, 23:43:14
I had an option to "Add to active household" on sims (other than active household members themselves) for as long as I can think of. It is suddenly gone now, I'm pretty sure I still had it a few days ago -- I've tried every key/click combination that I can think of, but it refuses to appear. Is this perhaps an Awesome function that has been disabled somehow? The only thing I can think of that changed between then and now is that I updated Awesome (I now have one with a timestamp of yesterday). I might accidentially be using a different aweconf now as well, but I just tried setconfig testingcheatsenabled and enabledebugcomands and still nothing.

What makes this option show up / not show up?

The "Add to Active Family" operation shows up when I SHIFT-CLICK a non active household sim.  Along with the "Trigger Age Transition" operation.

I am using the latest AwesomeMod.  If you don't see the option, I suspect something is amiss in your settings.

Good Day. :)

That would be my guess, too.  You can return to the Main Menu and enter testingcheatsenabled.  It should work then.

Yeah no, shift-click doesn't give me .. anything. I get the "Friendly - Mean - Etc" pie menu when I shiftclick. Something is bork, it seems.

I'll try remaking the aweconf and restarting and see what happens then. Thanks!

Bash your shift key, maybe you have a potato chip stuck under it.  :P Happens to me a lot.

Bash your shift key
I Think My Shift Key Works Fine ;)

It worked again after redoing aweconf and restarting the game. I have no idea what the problem was --  I was just thinking that JMP maybe disabled it or changed the key combo, since I believe that happened with some ctrl-click or alt-click options, that's why I posted about it.
