Title: Are the Critical Fixes Ok with NL?
Post by: greeneyedsims on 2005 November 20, 12:55:17
I had taken out the critical fixes when I installed NL...and have been playing without them for some time now.  I did a search but couldn't find more information on this.

Are the critical fixes (minus the amnesia fix) ok to use with Nightlife installed?  I have Uni also.

I'd like to protect my game, and I trust JM's fixes to help me do that.

I read where JM is working on a Director's cut for NL, will this include all the critical fixes needed?

Thanks for any information!

Go look in Boris' List - probably buried someplace,

He really needs to put that back up. I've seen several people ask about it and try to use director's cut with NL since he unstickied Boris' list.

Boris hasn't been seen since last week, unfortunately. That list is no longer necessary, anyway.

The new Nightlife list is here (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/ffs/nl/hacks).

I was getting ready to post, that I have no idea where to find it.  So, Motoki... you think I should continue to just wait without any fixes in my game until I hear more on this?...or should I scavenge thru the old Armory hacks for what I can remember as being fixes?

I mean, it's a brand new neighborhood....I just reinstalled a new game about 3 weeks ago.  But, I'd like to be protected from bugs and things before I get too much more involved with it.

**I knew I should've read the post before I posted this....thank you JM!!

Ah, I hadn't seen that. So you've pretty much moved everything NL compatible to that directory? I noticed there's a few other things of yours I use that aren't in there and mostly work, but it's pretty much all the ones I use.

What about MacroControl, AutoYak, and the Uni Final Clock... Do those still need to be updated or are they okay to use as is?

I finally got NL today and the oodles of fun I was having lasted mere moments until I realized I needed all my hacks back. I really don't know how I ever played without all the good stuff from here. I'm not so much a gushing kind of gal... But - Thanks. This is the stuff that keeps us all playing. Kudos. Good job. Keep it up.

I'm reverting back to my usual crabby n' sarcastic self now ;)

I've been using Macro and Autoyak, and they seem to work fine.  I don't know about the clock though.

Thanks Blue... This will be good news for my currently socially depleted sims. They haven't been making friends 'cuz I've zero inclination to watch and point and guide the entire affair. Macro control goes back in.

What about lot debugger? Can I add that too?

Macro and autoyak are fine...I use them all the time.

I haven't sent anyone through Uni since I got NL....

Boris' official list never mentioned the UniClock (unless I am blind which is possible)

TJ's college adjuster is definitely NL approved
http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=1236.0

I like to use JM's clock to schedule the exams and TJ's adjuster for everything else, but if you're not sure about the clock, the adjuster should do pretty much everything you want...

Throw in his "No final exams at night"
http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=1506.0

And "no meet professors"
http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=1507.0

And I'm almost looking forward to putting my latest batch of teens through Uni.

(I do hope JM's uni clock works for NL, though.  Control freak tool, I like those.)

**** edit *******

Lot debugger is aokay!! :)

***** edit one more time *****

My post is a mess, blush.

The Uni Clock thread has a report of working fine in NL.

The Uni Clock and Debugger are all self-contained objects, so they can't conflict with anything.

Thanks Again...

It was autosoc that I was looking for and I'm just throwing it in there and hoping for good things or else they're never gonna make another friend. I've also added autoyak, encouragifcator, and the firemod. Dear Lord, the fire I had last night; nearly burned the whole bloody dorm down but only ended up losing a cheerleader in the end and cheerleaders are abnormally happy individuals and should really die anyway.

I do love that uni clock! Sync is good. :)
