About the superstition_quickerconversion mod:

This tuning mod makes autonomous same-sex romantic socials available more quickly by reducing the number of forced (player-initiated) interactions from 6 to a lower number.

This is the line of XML code that is changed: kNumUserDirectedSameSexGenderPreferencesBeforeSameSexAllowedAutonomously 6

It comes from the SimDescription section of gameplaydata.package. I deleted all of the other code in SimDescription, so this mod shouldn't affect any mods that alter other parts of the SimDescription code but not the line above that I changed. (My assumption is that the rest of the SimDescription code that occurs in the gameplaydata.package will load as usual and that my mod will only override that single line of code.)

The versions I have made have a value of 0, 1, and 2, depending upon which mod you choose. (A 0 value doesn't seem to function differently than a value of 1.) Only install one version of the mod.

The line of code I altered is responsible for "converting" heterosexual Sims to homosexual (or possibly bisexual). Unlike the real world, in the Sims 3, all Sims are heterosexual until they are converted. In the real world, of course, people are born heterosexual or homosexual.

This mod is designed to make it less cumbersome to have gay Sims. Unfortunately, there appears to be no easy way around the requirement to force specific Sims to perform at least one romantic social toward another Sim to increase the suspension of disbelief.

Note that if the targeted Sim responds favorably, that Sim will also be "converted" and is likely to autonomously perform romantic socials toward the Sim you manually targeted him/her with. I am not sure if either the Sim you controlled or the targeted Sim will perform autonomous romantic socials toward other Sims of the same-sex without "conversion". It may be that the Sims will only be willing to do this toward each other -- that the game treats each relationship as a self-contained thing rather than giving Sims sexual orientation.

I have read that the entire neighborhood is "converted" to bisexual once a player has converted at least one Sim by manually initiating the required number of same-sex romantic socials, but I have not seen this in my limited testing. It may be that that behavior is the result of a third-party mod.

This mod has not been tested with the "Awesome Mod" or with "Inteen". It should only conflict with a mod that modifies that single line of code. So far, I have not seen any modder report that their mod modifies that line of code. I looked at the XML tuning web page for the "Awesome Mod" and saw no references that appear to relate to this line of code and/or similar functionality so I assume it is compatible at this point. I also believe it is compatible with Inteen at this point.

This mod was tested with the 1.4.6 patched game.

I suggest installing my Household Chance mod to supplement this one.
