Title: SimSurgery Question
Post by: croiduire on 2008 February 12, 09:27:32
I exported a sim born in-game to Bodyshop via SimPE, fixed the intolerable fugliness and saved as a package file, but now I'm stuck--I have no idea how to get SimPE to import the file so that I can replace the original. Is it possible to edit this from the character file?

You have to make a CAS sim from your new and improved Bodyshop sim, because Sim Surgery needs a character file for the "archetype" you want to replace your original sim with.

Don't do that. That will fill your neighborhood with junkfiles. Just extract the LXNR from your source's original file and splice it over the LXNR of your target. Then change appearance in the mirror, and new face should take effect.

Use theo's alternate sim surgery.

JM, that worked perfectly. Since there is only the one facial file your way, can I assume the changes are now genetic, or is another step needed?
