Title: Missing Neighbourhoods in AL
Post by: Madame Mim on 2008 September 08, 23:02:52
I've lost three in a row (testing hoods). Deleting the Neighbourhood Manager doesn't make them come back so obviously I'm corrupting them. My question is - what are the big no no's in AL that might corrupt a whole hood? If I can just figure out what I'm doing I could stop it. The first two had apartments that were editted via the cheats after Sim move in. The last one didn't - although I had created/converted two apartment blocks in that hood.

Next test is to see if a hood stays if I stay away from apartments completely. Any other suggestions?

did you by any chance have HP's megahood in your game?

Yes, I know the Uber-Megahood for Apartment Life disappeared. It has issues with anyone in Belladonna Cove living in an apartment disappearing - if you downloaded it, please delete it. I will be putting up a fixed version ASAP. Sorry for the inconvenience.

No, nothing that simple. I'm running simple single hood testers - Pleasant View and Strangetown - although they are my genetically editted copies. I will put the standard shipped hoods back in and see if they disapear on me - thankyou for the thought.

update: it's not my modified Neighbourhood bases. It's not merely having apartments in my game nor creating apartments from existing buildings in a hood. It's not moving playables, or even multiple apartments of playables into apartment blocks. In fact it is now nothing that I can reproduce, which is a bitch because I don't know what it was so I don't know what not to do again. At the moment I am leaning towards it being some custom content that I used in making my previous apartment conversions - probably a custom door or window, but I can't prove it and I can't reproduce the problem.
