Beard is yours for $2.50 at Rose Sims!
Where is this hair on Rose Sims? I can't seem to find it anywhere, at least in the pay area.
77  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: Mar MATY "More Awful Than You" CC Treasure Hunt: Hair! on: 2007 March 01, 18:58:06
Not too hard. I just went to Sapphire Sims, and I found a whole cornucopia of crap. Here are some samples. (If they're too big, I'll resize 'em.)

(EDIT: Resized, to make them easier to load.)

78  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: holiday party pack on: 2007 February 28, 16:19:29
I suggest downloading it from a torrent site. After all, morally you STILL own the game, no matter what bullshit EA Link may do.

This concerns me as well, since I was told that you can redownload the file anytime you need to. Ugh, I know better than to do THAT next time. I knew I shouldn't have trusted EA. *goes to find Pets on The Pirate Bay*
79  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Looking for DatGen on: 2007 February 20, 13:43:00
I didn't go through. Do you have Gmail? Maybe that'll work.
80  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Looking for DatGen on: 2007 February 20, 10:20:22
Thank you for warning me about it. I'll try to be careful.

I just checked. My gmail account can receive attachments that big. Feel free to send it over whenever you have the time.
81  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Looking for DatGen on: 2007 February 19, 19:18:21
Unfortunately, the versions on there don't seem to have the Download Maid plugin. I think v0.7.9 has it, and TSR doesn't have that.
82  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Looking for DatGen on: 2007 February 19, 16:03:58
I am looking for DatGen, mostly so I can check the polygon counts of my downloaded objects, but it seems the original website has bit the dust. Does anyone know where else I can download this program? It would be a lot easier for me rather than looking at each package file individually in SimPE.
83  TS2: Burnination / The War Room / Re: Myths, Urban Legends, And Apocrypha Of TS2 Explored And Exploded on: 2006 August 09, 08:21:29
I certainly don't mind the scenarios being broken. It just means that I can start altering the families in my own way quicker. I didn't really play the preset neighborhoods until recently, when I checked out what I think was the Dreamer house (the family with all the bills, originally) and found that there were no bills anywhere, even though the popup said something about them.

I also revived Skip Broke, simply for amusement's sake. Is that a bad thing? I don't really care about Pleasantview, but I know it will affect the outcome of the baby.
84  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: CRT or LCD???? on: 2006 August 04, 23:37:32
I perfer LCDs because images and text show up cleaner (no anti-aliasing), which bugs me with CRTs. I hardly notice a blur on LCDs, and the lack of colors don't seem to interfere too much, even though I do a lot of graphic design. (Sometimes it is a pain to find a good shade of a certain color) CRTs are good for the money, however, so I recommend those if you don't care either way.
85  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Rant - The ways in which the sims community is completely insane. on: 2006 August 04, 23:10:28
Perhaps this is a real phenomenon based on the CEP fiasco at VS where someone supposedly showed a perspective employer a package that had credits to the CEP creators in it…

Actually, I think whoever said that (maybe Rentech) was stating that as an example on how, heaven forbid, having the names of the creators of CEP in another person's package file is a BAD THING OMG.

Which brings me back to the issue at hand: God forbid some poor chump uses YOUR recolor of a Maxis chair in THEIR house. But if you use someone else's tool to make it possible, is it really a bad thing to have their names in the coding of the file? I somehow doubt the average user will look at the code itself. If they are really holding out for Maxis to "pick them up," then I somehow doubt Maxis would want to hire someone who is so clingy-touchy of their stuff. After all, once your stuff is official, it gets whored out to everyone.
86  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Skins, Eyes, Hair, etc... on: 2006 July 31, 23:04:56
It is. I don't care for the original coloring all that much, but the recolor of it is just what I need for a Sim project I have in mind.
87  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Selectable protection from Vampire bite on: 2006 July 31, 03:17:02
Do you mean something like this?

I would use that, but I am afraid that it isn't compatible with JM's vampire fixes.
88  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Skins, Eyes, Hair, etc... on: 2006 July 31, 02:15:49
I hope no one minds if I post a request here, but it isn't too off-topic to this. I am looking for this mesh. Helaene has a wonderful recolor for it, but you know TSR is not free. Feh. Anyone happen to have it?
89  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Brace yourselves! on: 2006 June 28, 21:47:20
I think the whole MTS2 server is being slow, because I can't get in either.

But if it is made from custom animations, imagine the possibilities... whenever people stop thinking about Sim porn, that is.
90  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Buffets on Community Lots on: 2006 June 26, 21:53:49
I made a few marriage lots with buffets, and I do believe the Sim that is ordered to "Serve" the food pays for it. As far as I can tell, there are no drawbacks, except for a ton of plates being everywhere and Sims autonomiously wanting to clean up all of them. Keep a sink or a dishwasher nearby for plate removal, so Sims won't treck all the way to the bathrooms.
91  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Bisexuality? on: 2006 June 25, 00:08:10
Is there any way to permanently balance a Sim's male/female attraction and KEEP it that way so they will forever be bisexual despite what gender they may have relationships with? I find it a bit frustrating when I want a female Sim to have a relationship with one gender, and when I want her to be attracted to another gender, she seems relunctant to change her preferences. I'd perfer not having to go into SimPE and balancing the sexual attraction bar everytime she has a relationship.

Any help, perhaps?
92  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Downtownies get off the phone! on: 2006 June 21, 20:07:25
As and you shall receive, at least partially -- check out the DMA Sims worker set:  http://valdea.com/?page=1.  The DMA Teleport device that comes with the base set also functions as a burglar alarm that alerts when the burglar enters the lot, not just when he/she is in the room where the alarm is, and has a caller ID function.  It costs the same as the regular burglar alarm.

Thanks for showing me that. I will certainly give it a try.

*hits the Thanks button*
93  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Problem with WiFi on: 2006 June 21, 08:04:53
I have a Nintendo WiFi USB Connector, and when I first starting using it, I couldn't get it to work. However, after checking out the Nintendo WiFi forum, I found out that the server was kind of screwy and many other people couldn't get on as well.

I don't know about PSP, but the DS online server can be kind of odd at times. However, most of the time, it works wonderfully.

BTW, what kind of WiFi DS games do you have? I am always looking for someone to play with.
94  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Downtownies get off the phone! on: 2006 June 21, 07:52:48
You know what would be wonderful? A hack that, whenever the phone rings, shows who is calling, and to whom. What would also be nice is the ability to ban certain people from calling. Sometimes my Sims bring home a townie from work, and after I shoo them off, they don't. stop. calling. Argh! It doesn't stop until I kill off the stupid townie.
95  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: A few how-to questions about Uni on: 2006 June 18, 17:24:22
But it can be done? I've generated a new game, attached SSU then a custom college town, only the custom one can be deleted in game.

I was able to delete a premade college that was attached to one of my neighborhoods. However, this was pre-OFB, and I didn't play the area all that much (I thought I could attach a college and not have to worry about premade Sims, but boy was I wrong. Luckily, I have managed to get rid all of them).
96  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can't I build any dorm in a uni neighbourhood ? on: 2006 June 10, 04:34:51
Have you tried making a dorm on a residental lot, then using "changeLotZoning" to make it a dorm? I tend to make my own dorms that way, or at least edit current ones so they're less annoying.

Either way, I too would appreciate any links or downloads of any decent dorms. Primarily, any of them that look nice on the outside and have big dorm rooms.
97  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sweet Mother Gaia: RAM is Good... on: 2006 June 10, 04:25:22
I just bought a new PC.  Not the top of the line (my pockets aren't that deep), but with 1G RAM and much better video card.

Listen.  Hear that?   No?  Exactly!   I had no idea it was possible to play Sims2 without the constant whir of a hard drive being written to constantly on a machine that didn't really want to load the Sims.  Who knew that that little green light actually could turn off.     I am now able to hear planes flying overhead again.  That's not all.  Now I know what everyone is talking about when they mention "Cinematics".   I was a little frightened the first time Daniel Pleasant diddled the maid and the woohoo movie played.

It IS nice, isn't it? Not too long ago, I upgraded my computer's video card from Geforce 4 to Gefore 5500 (I wanted to get a better video card than that, but I wasn't paying for it at the time), and I also upgraded the RAM from 256 to 1.26 GB (I added a stick of 1 GB RAM in there, and I have room for one more stick). Let me tell you, the improvement was amazing. I thought I had a decent computer until I upgraded it.

Yes, Cinematics. I didn't know they existed until I got the better video card. Ha ha, isn't that sad?
98  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / No Social Worker Abductions Hack on: 2006 June 08, 01:02:53
Does anyone know where I can find a hack that doesn't let the social worker take children away, or at least doesn't take them away unless they're starving/etc.? I think Inge provided a hack like this, but now she is gone. I have every EP except for OFB. If someone could provide a working hack, that'd be great.
99  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Jump Bug? on: 2005 December 28, 05:15:23
Ever since I got my new graphics card, I've been playing a lot of Sims 2. However, in some of the houses, I've been getting jump bug problems. They start 'jumping' from a variety of tasks, from playing chess, to writing a novel. It might be conflicting hacks, but I am not sure, since I didn't add any sort of new hacks. Attached is an error log I managed to get.
100  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Help! I got money to burn on: 2005 December 27, 18:22:03
I just got a GeForce FX 5500 card, and it works great with the Sims 2; mine only has 128 MB of memory on it, too. However, I haven't used it extensively yet, but all the graphics settings are on high, so...

It also helped A LOT that I just got a 1 GB stick of memory to add to my 256 MB.
