Title: stupid NPC work clothes question...
Post by: jennydeenyc on 2005 November 16, 20:33:39
I thought I saw something about this somewhere, but searching didn't lead me anywhere, so I'm reduced to potentially making an idjit of myself by asking here. Are there any hacks which force NPCs that follow your sims home from work to wear the uniform appropriate to their level in the career track, rather than that of the sim they followed home? I know they're not skilling up on their own, and would be nice to see a little variety in those work outfits!

Thanks in advance...

jennydee

Try the carpoolfix (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/ffs/uni/hacks/carpoolfix.zip).

EDIT: Fix link.

I would, but it's not updated for NL compatibility, which may cause my game to explode in a fiery ball visible from space...and I'd really like to avoid that!  ;)

Guess I'll just have to wait & hope a new version is forthcoming.

Well I thought it was on the list of hacks okay to use with NL by Boris, but that thread seems to be gone now.

Use a hack/vase w/plant for that.  It's on Inge's site.  www.simlogical.com  You can set it so people will change into what you want them in.  Regular cliothes and such when they come to visit.

I appreciate the link Cheriem, but that's not really what I'm looking for. I don't want to have to individually change visitors clothes, I just want their work gear to appropriately reflect where they are in their career path rather than where MY sim is, you know?

doctor boris's list was unstickied, but still exists:  http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=655.msg23790#msg23790

The car pool fix is in testing, apparently.

I believe I have a version of it in - not sure which one (old one, or testing one), but no obvious ill effects so far.
