Ugh I'll never be able to find them all. My downloads folder is organised, but sadly not that organised. I've now got a much worse problem though with things only half deleting. (see edit to original post)

I seem to be asking loads of questions at the moment, but it's because I'm clearing out the years worth of crap that has accumulated in my downloads folder in time for Seasons.

So what I want to know this time is how do I delete recolours without having to delete the entire object? I'm sure tha previously in my game if I had a Maxis or a custom object that had a lot of custom recolours I could go into it in the game and choose to delete just one of the recolours. Now that option doesn't seem to be there anymore, so how can I delete just the recolours I don't use? Is there a way to do it with SimPE or am I just stuck with them all clogging up my downloads folder?

EDIT: I've used design mode as suggested and it worked ok for most objects. However objects where there are two options of things to change have caused a problem. Sometimes when I deleted a recolour from the top or bottom row one or more in the other row would turn blue. This would be fine, except when I try to click on this blue part to delete it nothing happens. Then even worse the little custom content star disappears and I end up with a whole row of custom content that has turned blue which I can't delete. Some of this is on Maxis made objects so I can't even delete the whole thing and start again. What can I do?

I had backed up my neighbourhoods and downloads so that was all fine. It was my custom sims from the sim bin I was most annoyed about and I still don't know where those would have been.

Thanks for the tip about the lot catalog though! Luckily at the same time as reinstalling Pets I moved everything on my computer to a new user profile (because the old one wouldn't load anymore) and when I deleted the EAGames folder from the old profile's 'My Documents' I happened to keep a backup of the lotcatalog file because I didn't know what it was. This means all my custom lots are safe and I can put them back in

Some of mine did as well. Why would any creator ever think I would want a formal dress to appear in the underwear/pj/swimwear and athletic wear categories? I can't really forsee any circumstances where I would want my sims to take a dip in the hottub whilst wearing their wedding dress! I've just spent a large chunk of my evening scanning my clothing folder with SimPE and updating everything. It's taken a long time but hopefully it's going to be worth it next time I play!

I have the very old version of this hack which hasn't worked for ages. I've just been looking for a newer version and I can't find it anywhere. I've checked the Pet's directory and also searched the message boards, but all I got from thhat is that it comes under the Director's Cut and I can't find out where that is posted either. It's probably right in front of me somewhere really obvious, but I'm stupid when it comes to looking for things

Ok I downloaded this. I knew the time of night had something to do with my confusion because now looking again it seems so obvious that harder jobs is optional, not required.

I already made the mistake of patching pets once, even though usually I check everywhere before I patch to make sure it doesn't make things worse for some reason I didn't this time. I ended up having to reinstall pets and annoyingly I lost all my custom sims from the sim bin and all my custom houses, although I saved everything else. I don't know where the game stores those files and I still can't find them even now (since I've added new ones I mean).

Possibly because it's half 11 at night I'm quite confused by all this. I've not had a problem so far with my Pets game but to be honest I haven't played it that much and since I'm starting to play it more often now I don't want to risk it all going wrong. Should I download this and the harder jobs hack, or do I just need this?

I have lots of custom clothes I've downloaded from various websites. Unfortunately some of them rather stretch the limits when it comes to deciding what an outfit should be used for and as a result I have many formal dresses appearing in the underwear/swimwear/pj areas of the game. I find this very frustrating, since it means I have to wade through loads of formal outfits before I actually get to the swimwear etc.

Surely there must be some way I can sort this out without having to clone every single one in Bodyshop? (I have nearly 100 in the wrong category so this isn't really an option) I'm sure I heard once that there is something in SimPE that can do this. If anyone could let me know how I can use SimPE to sort the problem (or even another program) I'd be very grateful!

I know this is quite an old topic but I just thought I would stop by and mention that I used to use DatGen to family my hairs. I never quite worked out how to do anything else with it but it worked really well for that task!

This is a great hack, finally my sims shut up whilst eating! Since I installed Pets though it doesn't seem to work anymore. Are there any plans to update it, or is there another hack thhat does the same thing that will work with pets? Thanks.
