1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Can't make Adult outerwear for elders... on: 2007 October 17, 13:00:47
I'm doing (what I thought was) just some really simple stuff...cause I'm not really talented in that way.

All I am doing is creating a project in Bodyshop, then opening with SimPE and changing the age to 58 so that it is available for all adult ages.  I took some stuff from Gl, the fur coats, and some of the Season's outerwear and changed the age...the GL stuff worked, but the Season's stuff didn't....just weird...and I noticed that there aren't any Adult Seasons outerwear enabled for Elders anywhere that I've looked.

I have my elders in Adult clothes, then when they change to outerwear, they wear the lumpy elder stuff provided by Maxis...I was hoping for a simple solution, but maybe I'm just SOL.

P.S.  Sorry...shoulda looked harder.  I found some stuff at TSR...I only take the good freebies...and checked it out.  They just changed the age to 10...which I was thinking about, but enabling it for YA/A/E was just my lazy way...

Thanks Gwill and Zig for your help.

The most recent...it's compatible with Seasons and Celebrations stuff.

I made the GL fur coat available for elders, and tried to make the cowl neck sweater, trench coat, and raincoat all at the same time.  The fur coat works fine, but when the outerwear didn't...I'm very confused.

I did some quick searches (lazy) but did not find anything about this...but I used SimPE to change clothing from adult to elder.  Everything pre-seasons worked, but apres seasons did not...

Is anyone else having this issue or am I just 'tupid? or do the Seasons maxis adult meshes not work for elders?

4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bon Voyage satisfaction on: 2007 September 11, 15:32:12
Yay!!  Finally a positive thread...I was getting tired of reading all of bitchin' and moanin' when I check MATY earlier.

The vacation EP was the only one that I consistently played with the original Sims, so I love the BVEP...love that you can order room service, love that they can swim in the ocean, love that they can plan a vacation with friends...and the new stuff is really  nice...love the bed with the curtainy things on the posts...

...AND have not had any issues with the EP so far...

mkay...so, I was playing yesterday and noticed that my simboy's penis is now a lovely shade of purple...does anyone have a clue?

I have all EP's and GLS.

6  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: [Work in progress] Polygamy or marriage of convenience on: 2007 June 12, 00:34:56
I think this would also work great as a golddigger mod...just to marry for money when the want is "marry a rich sim", if I understand how this works...and some said this couldn't be done when I requested it earlier.
7  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Point me to teen lifetime adjustment hack? on: 2007 May 25, 23:24:53
I know that mentioning the InSIMenator is verboten, but it does allow you to choose when to have sims "grow up"...
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Pet aging? on: 2007 March 16, 12:21:37
Any way to get a hack to get pets to age to puppies/kittens? Huh

I am hoping that Eric at InSIM will add that option to the next version...you might ask him or suggest it...

Stocking a fridge with them gives "Fresh produce" points that apparently makes food sparkly and worth more hunger value.

hunh...I was wondering why my food was all sparkly...apparently I have the correct title!!

Could someone please kill this?

Thanx.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Correct syntax for familyfunds 'cheat' please? on: 2006 August 06, 22:36:02
How does familyfunds handle multiple households with the same name?  The one time I really wanted to use it, I had four brothers at university in four different dorms.  I chickened out and didn't try.

...I usually use the cheat in the family screen, otherwise the funds seem only to be applied to the first family in the bin for me.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Sims 1 Mods? Are they still around? on: 2006 July 31, 18:14:39
Sir Laphelot still has his mods on a yahoo site, I believe...he did all the gorilla walk fixes and whatnot for Simslice.

That's just sad, in both senses of the word. Why waste your money on something you know you won't like?

I don't hate Maxis; after all they did give us the game we all know and love, while I do agree their marketing tactics can be quite tacky, and yes we do have a right to complain, saying you hate the company but still buying their products is quite stupid.

I agree...

I don't post much mainly because it seems that so many people dwell on the negatives and feed off of the hate and anger of others...but I would just like to interject that with or without the fixes (cheats) that modders have created for the majority of us, playing the game as is was never a real issue for me.  I never had a lot of problems, and the few that I did have I could probably have lived with...

...but one thing I think we need to remember is that Maxoids are people too.  They get hurt when something that they have worked on gets crapped on, just like all modders and creators when the same things happen to them.  How many truly gifted and creative people have quit because of all the bitching and whining about stuff...and asking "can you change this" or "why doesn't it do that" kinda crap.

I know that it takes a lot time and patience to do what maxoids and creators/modders do...I have problems using html coding to create web pages...and that's simple stuff for most 'puter geeks.  I realize how difficult and time consuming programing can be...

Puhleeze...just have a little consideration for people, even the maxoids, maybe imagine walking in their shoes for a step or two.

15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Inge where are thou? on: 2006 April 07, 21:39:27
Fat D...

I have been a fan of Inge's for a very long time...since I first found her stuff at livin-it-up...and I am definately a fan of JM's, and from what I've read in this forum, the two of them have, at the very least, respect for each others work.

I just don't think that it's helpful to post negative comments, whether true or not, because they only cause hurt feelings.   Besides, Inge is not here at this moment to defend herself...not that I am accusing you of fibbing...I just think that there are multiple sides to any story.

It is available here.

Thank you much.   Dunno how I missed that...
17  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: A question for Motoki (and anyone else who knows) on: 2006 April 05, 15:56:48
(I'm addressing this post to Motoki because of the hack he made that enables adult clothes for elder.)

There is a hack for this?  Where is it available for download?

Thanx.
18  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Point & Laugh ? about installing lots on: 2006 April 04, 03:48:20
If I recall correctly, there is also an option to choose your directory for download...you can manually type in the subfolder if you want...at least I think so.  It's been awhile since I used it for that...
19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Leave My Shop!!! on: 2006 April 01, 00:16:53
I have yet to have any customer buy anything at all so I'd just be happy if any of my customers bought at least something.
All they ever do is look and be shown around. Then of course after they look they hang around like they're home and use my Sims house like it's theirs. I'm really starting to hate them Angry

Did you make your items available to buy?  I once set up shop with all my pretty displays, set up my cash wrap with my employed cashier...and no one was buying anything.  It took me a couple of sim days to realise that I hadn't set stuff up for sale... Roll Eyes
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: i hate my customers, *why?* on: 2006 March 26, 21:24:57
I downloaded a bunch of Squinge's mods and let me tell you, my businesses are now businesses instead of playhouses.

Does anyone know anything about this Squinge?

I just seems that he popped out of nowhere and is creating all these hacks...and several are duplicates, at least two are the same as TJ's...

I guess I don't really trust him/her because of unfamiliarity...and also because when I pointed out his duplication of TJ's hacks, he only posted something about it not being worth responding to...
21  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: OFB Community Lot Car Bug on: 2006 March 18, 13:57:57
My experience with this has been that if I had  my simmies sleep on the community lot, I was not able to drive my car back home...I was just stuck looking at the empty lot and exited the game.  When I re-entered the game, I could play the lot and everything was normal...

When I drive back after closing the business, I did not have any issues.  I drove back home and everything was normal...but now I'm afraid to try to drive to the lots with all this "bug" talk...

22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Killing off those ugly NPCs maids on: 2006 February 21, 04:08:03
Doc Doofus at MTS2 has complete a CAS face replacement set...they are a huge improvement over the defaults if you wanna check them out...

http://www.modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=130190

...then you can kill off all the old maids and new ones will get created using the new faces.
23  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: How is one to know what these ARE? on: 2006 February 04, 23:03:48
um...not an expert, but those look like a lot of duplicate files (those things ending with _0001) and sims packages that you may have already installed into your game (those icons with the snowman looking thing coming out of the box).

With the clean installer, just fyi, ('cause I'm and idiot and it took me ages to figure it out) pink lines are duplicate items, you will see the extension _0001 or _0002, etc...good luck.

Hey all...

Inge has a LESS AUTONOMY BABY CARE hack compatible w/ NL...I've used it with NO probs.
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: The case of the Floating Nude on: 2005 November 08, 15:50:38
My most interesting moment with this occurred while one of my males was bathing.

I have the male genitalia (I had forgotten I had this), and his penis was pointing south between his legs whle he was sitting in the tub...clearly visible...and I did not have a censor patch at that time...

When I saw it, my reaction was "what the heck is that thing?"  I paused the game and got a closer look...then I remembered...it was kinda funny...  Cheesy
