Buying a Pet spits out random elders
« on: 2009 May 22, 23:10:53 »
THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I have all EP's and most SP's and all patches. The majority of my hacks are from the Director's Cut.  I don't have any hacks that relate to pets or aging pets or sims.

Every time I purchase a pet, I get an elder pet.  I have to use SimPE every time to set the age back to adult.

So I went into a completely vanilla hood and these are some results in one session;

1st trip, kitty buy #1

2nd trip pooch buy #4

3rd trip pooch buy #1

3rd trip kitty buy #2

This experiment was rather interesting as in my regular hood, I mostly bought dogs and they always showed up as elder, and they don't really look elder either, but in this vanilla hood, it's the cats that are showing up elder and the dogs are normal!?

If anyone has any suggestions, I would be very grateful.

Thanks

 Embarrassed Well that was an easy fix! Thank you for pointing that button out.  I never had to use it before and I've had Pets and bought pets since it came out.  Huh

I went back and checked in the vanilla hood and by default the dogs were adult stage and the cats defaulted to the elder stage.  As an additional check, I went back to my regular hood and there it is just the opposite, dogs default to elder and cats default to adult.

Very strange!

Thanks again!
