1101  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Pre-Seasons clothing enabled as Outerwear | Update 6 on: 2007 April 09, 21:42:50
Baaaaah!
thanks for the point in the right direction. this should be interesting seeing as i have no idea what i'm doing.

Edit: just thought i'd come back, say i failed, and say that i found someone at MTS2 who had done it so i didn't have to keep tring.
:/ my finger slipped and loaded the neighborhood files, yay for me. I had to re-install seasons
1102  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Sinking pets and choppy gameplay. How can I fix this? on: 2007 April 09, 21:05:23
ever since the install of seasons i've had my sims dropping every action unless i constantly keep an eye on them.
and i had a dog sinking into the ground. Do you have seasons? The game throws a wobbly when it tries to fool with the temp gauge that the dog doesn't have when it uses the water wiggler from ofb, theres a fix for that around here somewhere. but this is all the input on these problems i have in my tiny brain
1103  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: many sound errors on: 2007 April 09, 20:40:15
i have seen inges dripping mod, untill i saw that i wasn't even aware the sinks dripped, making me beleive i may have had this problem for some time, i may only have just started noticeing as i have just been leaving the cheat box open.
But the drip is not the only sound error, theres also one that comes up when i buy something, the "kaching" noise is still there but i get the error anyway... i think its the bit that says something about it being there twice or some such >_< I'm compltely non-program savvy. I have a couple friends for tech support, but it doesn't do many any good with the sims
1104  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Pre-Seasons clothing enabled as Outerwear | Update 6 on: 2007 April 09, 20:35:28
ah, this should give me a headache. but hey, i get to learn something new
1105  TS2: Burnination / Peasantry / Re: Pre-Seasons clothing enabled as Outerwear | Update 6 on: 2007 April 08, 18:20:54
I'm guessing you have the first holiday pack as only the santa outfits are enabled.
But what about the ones that were in the 2nd holiday pack?
the long santa coats and the kimonos and hakamas?.
And how about the child elf outfits, Wouldn't seem right to have it snowing and the "elves" running around without their elf outfits. :p
my santa has a toy shop and "elf labor"
i may be too dumb but if you point me to how you set them I can try to do it myself Smiley
1106  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / many sound errors on: 2007 April 08, 15:49:44
this has been a problem for awhile. Multiple Sound errors showing up in debug mode, i have been ignoreing it as to start all i noticed was when i bought something there was a sound error, now the sink drip as well as others i'm sure, and as the drip is sorta constant so are the errors running in my window. I need to know what is causing this or, what files i need to pull from the cds to replace whatever is the problem.

Edit: I was having a constrainfloorelevation problem(as in couldn't use it at all) that i had thought was connected with celebration but strangely seems to be restricted to one lot. So as long as that problem isn't going to pop up again i'm not worried about it

1108  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons Bookcase question on: 2007 April 04, 16:49:29
my sims are dropping Queues anyway, right and left, no matter what their action is supposed to be. So it may just be seasons you are experianceing and something you can't do anything about if you play freewill and don't use somekind of micro manager.
I think it may have something to do with how sims are now supposed to be more inclined to do certain activities because of what the weather is or go cool themsleves off or some such...they may have over tweaked it and its now giving the rest of us a headache from having to constantly move between sims to make sure they realy are doing what they're supposed to. They dump activities they should be quite happy to do for as long as they're mood stays up. I even tested this by keeping needs up, and they dump anyway, and then go do something that they realy don't need right now, cooking when they're only half empty and their bladder is in desperation that sortathing
1109  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Holiday Cabin on: 2007 April 04, 16:22:59
yes you did Smiley ...i was just giving the whole thing as "this is indeed verified information" ...and some use needs to come from that damn prima guide ...
1110  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Holiday Cabin on: 2007 April 04, 01:59:44
this from the prima guide:
"Community lots also have seasons and, like neighborhoods, they're determined by the last saved home lot. If Sims leave home in spring, it'll be spring on whatever community lot they visit.
Seasons can't however, change while your sim is visiting. Lets say your sim left home at 11:45pm on the last day of spring and stayed on a community lot until noon the next day. Though it seems like it should be the next season, the home lots season remains frozen in time until your sim returns to it. even if the move directly to another community lot, the saved home lots season persists"

So yeah, seasons change on community lots, weather change (sunny, rain, snow what ever is appropriate to the season") will happen on community but the season is set at the home lot, if you want their vacacion place to be in winter well it needs to be winter at home before you leave.
No aging on community and the time on your home lot will be the same time\day you left it i beleive, because say Herman has a preggy wife about to give birth at home, he leaves and he manages to stay for a sim week on a community lot. What happened with his wife and baby? If aging were on, he could return to his wife and child an old man his whole life spent away from home.
1111  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons Patch on: 2007 April 04, 00:07:50
i case someone comes back in here.
Pescado said he was going to take a look at the file to see if it did what it claimed.
Has he reported his findings anywhere? ...as i don't get the time to peruse the threads properly I thought it possible i may have missed him mentioning something somewhere.
1112  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: GAH! stop creating wolves! on: 2007 April 03, 23:30:25
i've had no problem getting wolves since seasons, i don't have wolfwatchers installed however. One knowledge sim and he gets atleast a wolf a day, the LOTP had showed up on the third day, suprising the hell outta me, as he didn't get to interact with the first wolf very much
1113  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons Patch on: 2007 April 03, 02:15:16
i've had jump bugs since the install of seasons. pets jumping, snowball fights jumping ...yadda yadda ..haven't explored the whole thing yet as my boyfriend is greedy and wants time on my computer  Tongue plus nasty work coming between me and my gaming time ...damn it.
did find out that alias's buyable ofb objects was causeing a jump with plant sims and the waterwiggler ...so one jump narrowed down
1114  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons Patch on: 2007 March 31, 23:18:26
people on another community i frequent are complaning of problems starting the game after the patch.
one can't get body shop or seasons to run, anothers game keeps asking for a disk when shes got digital download ...these could be caused by their own errors however
1115  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Creating Puppies and Kittens for Adoption on: 2007 March 30, 23:57:00
Ahhh if only there was a Texas Chainsaw mod that made unwanted pets and sims edible with a complete associated file wipe.  Shocked

oh that would be a fun way to clean up your files. can it be done? Probably as i just remembered thats basicly what the NL-unpatched gypsy potion would do to your sim, they would just *poof* disappear off the face of sim earth.
1116  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: No face on: 2007 March 30, 23:37:25
read several reasons for this.
faulty Custom eyebrows and default custom eyebrows
custom skins and default of same.
corrupted game file ...can't remember which one though.
1117  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons Patch on: 2007 March 30, 23:32:33
So the maxoid said for Seasons folk to install the Pets patch and the Seasons patch? So did he say if we need to *uninstall* Seasons to properly accomplish that?

you can install the pets patch with seasons installed no problem, just gives a little warning that says you have a newer expansion you may want to get a patch for that one

or you can stick to the fixes found here ...which also work
1118  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Seasons Patch on: 2007 March 30, 22:57:41
of all the errors and bullshit going on with this game they fix three things? ...i mean yeah, the little demon spawns screaming stopping is a good thing, but come on.
They have all those employees and this is all they come up with in the time they've had? I feel so sorry for all those exchange sheep...

this is totally the reason why JM is way more awesome...
1119  TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: My sim got a dog as a gift and now my sim's ugly on: 2007 March 27, 23:26:39
get Insim? errr object addition, as its having the least amount of issues. theres a thing on there to change appearances. i think its the one in the shape of an hour glass
1120  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I'm sure everyone but me knew about this Maxis Hair for Male Sims. on: 2007 March 26, 01:31:12
woohoo more hair !! <hits the dowload button>  That's just like crack baby.  Thanks Simsbaby

I abhor rapidshare!  I ran through all their extremely annoying hoops, entered the "confirmation number to prevent abuse".  It told me the number was wrong and kicked me out of the queue.  Whatever. I don't want anything THAT bad.   Why do people use that service anyway.  It blows.

that happens when you wait too long after the little count down is over to put in the code :/ happens to me too as i have baaaaad ADD
1121  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Don't fear the Reaper? on: 2007 March 25, 23:30:06
Thanks seelindarun - you answered my question wonderfully.  I just wanted to know if this was normal game behaviour or if there was something else screwy with my game.
yah. i just had this experiance myself. one of Enayla pixie skins on a sim i turned into a plant, had him abducted (maxis defaults by mistake) got him to have twins, one baby green one with his pixie skin. unsure which came first however ..and ugly as all hell, pixie skin one looks like micheal jackson.
1122  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Household residents won't approach the Cowplant on: 2007 March 25, 23:14:01
if thats the same Denimjo that posted a wcif on sims2community i sent him the more dangerous scissors( at least i should think so as the file was from july2006)  so anyone else interested PM me.

on a side note there is a more dangerous cow plant on mts2
1123  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: GAH! stop creating wolves! on: 2007 March 25, 23:03:41
i've had like 4-6 wolves on a lot at a time.
two black, two multi, atleast one white (i know i've had two white on one lot at some point but it wasn't the same neighborhood, so i'm not sure if both neighborhoods have two whites) and the alpha. ...i'm quite fond of trees  Roll Eyes
1124  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Paintings Hack on: 2007 March 25, 21:35:48
someone made a see-through mirror so maybe. but as i know shit about programming sooo, yeah. not for me to know
1125  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: I'm sure everyone but me knew about this Maxis Hair for Male Sims. on: 2007 March 25, 21:33:40
Honestly, I keep meaning to do it myself, but keep forgetting.  But, now I have four extras to play with, so...

There's also the Tata Young sim, which is also an archetype, so that makes five total. I forgot about her earlier. You can get her from the link http://ts2preorderpack.myfreeforum.org/forum1.php

The Paolo sim sadly is not an archetype. Why they had to do it differently that time, I don't know.  Roll Eyes

also a good link http://ts2downloads.freespaces.com/ ..official pre-orders here as well. but the other site has listings of international downloads, pulled-downloads and last i looked most of the pre-order stuff

i also feel pretty bad for those Lucus and Andy guys ...its like they took their features and then pushed them to the extremes ...i checked out their site, they're actualy pretty good looking ...stuck their sims music video in my game too. they had to have used some other program with the sims 2, to do that video ...
