1  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Got a new computer...have questions about re-installing... on: 2007 July 15, 14:01:37
Well. I got a new computer and I am going to install the whole capútle except for some of hte mini packs and seasons as I don't have them yet but I need to know what I can install without getting the official patches?

And if there is a patch that has fixed the toddler want/fear breakage thing that ONE of the patches broke (I think it was the Open for Biz)  patch that broke it. My game broke because of it on my old computer and no I didn't get it fixed and as this is a new install I really want to prevent it from happening at all.

Any know?
2  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: GASP!! Empty wants and fears for a toddler!!! on: 2006 September 09, 21:57:03
Uh. No, no deleted chars. This is pleasantview with everything intact...I did kill off Darren Dreamer though and resurrect the Le Tourneus (sp?) + that female on the Fallen House lot...Okei I see what happens after he has had a nap.

Um, how do I find this SWAF file in SimPe? And I do have Insimenator (that you mean?) in which section do I re-roll him?
3  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / GASP!! Empty wants and fears for a toddler!!! on: 2006 September 09, 21:45:41
Eeep! I just went into a house just now, just recently after installing Glamour and they were resetted as usual after installing a pack but I just realised that the toddler's want and fears are completely empty. What is happening and how can I fix it? Is my game blowing up?
4  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Why teen cant ? on: 2006 September 03, 11:21:02
Well, when I resurrected the Tricous (the dead family that came with Nightlife) the teen girl beat the snot out of her aunt. I did have the inteenimater installed at the time though so it could have been the reason the aunt was able to attack her niece--and yes she started the cat fight.

But just recently I again resurrected the same family in my Pleasantview hood (this time without having inteenimater installed) and the aunt and the teen girl had minus relationship points for each other so something must have happened before they died. They didn't attack each other in this resurrection because I made damned sure to seperate the families immediatly upon resurrection. I just didn't want to take a chance.

I have enough Sims disrupting each other lives, by stealing newspapers and giving each other the flue via the trashcan Angry
5  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / business hacks....which can't you live without? on: 2006 September 03, 11:14:30
For running a business with employes and the whole shebangs. Which hacks/fixes would you say are essential? I only played the biz angle of that expansion once. And I hired an employee. Once. Then I had to fire her because she was destroying my Sims business Cheesy

Now I want to try again but I realise I can NOT do it without some neat hack fixes.

I have only installed nooffercheap and noplayableshoppers by Pescado. I do plan on getting some of James' fixes: http://www.simwardrobe.com/ but I can't decide on which ones Roll Eyes

And another question...if I were to hire a playable Sim that already has a job, will the game allow it to happen and what happens to the job he/she has? And does a playable Sim get the pay he/she gets from the store added to his/her funds?

Ah! Of course! /slaps head

Yeah I've had that annoying first born thing. I used to and I guess I have to still (as it aint fixed yet right?) to generate a sim in cas to fix that first born thing. It has worked in the past.

And my god you are fast!
7  Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: Drama Professor & Met Self Fix on: 2006 August 12, 12:48:15
What the heck is a  sadorandomness? And a first born effect? I haven't heard of that one.
8  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Help me to stop him !!! on: 2006 August 10, 17:56:06
Even with the notownieregen hack? Ooh that is no good. I'm about to send a few townie teens into college and I don't want any replacements Sad And I have that hack.
9  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Which OFB biz related hacks can't you live without? on: 2006 August 10, 17:07:24
I am trying to limit my hacks and fixes folder to only the essentials I need and I now need to add some biz related fixes and hacks because I've found business to be quite buggy in my past experiences, so I just thought of asking you guys for what you are using and why?

10  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: a baby downtown :/ on: 2006 August 02, 16:00:55
Hey cool, my Burbie has twins as well Cheesy

Although I wasn't very happy when Jenn popped them out. I only needed one of them Grin

Thanks for all the advice guys and I am so relieved to hear others have had this same problems and that my game isn't exploding. I will try to delete the baby/ies if this happens again, but I doubt it. From now on I just make my own outings.

Kestran,
very relieved.
11  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: a baby downtown :/ on: 2006 August 01, 17:33:29
That is good to know because I had to quit without saving. I tried to play the outing out but they couldn't eat because the baby couldnt participate so I had to have them leave but the baby refused to go into taxi and they sat there in the taxi till morning. Until I gave up and just quitted.

Btw. How can I quit an outing? And shouldn't I get a meter with them? Because no meter appeared when they came to the community lot.
12  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: a baby downtown :/ on: 2006 August 01, 16:57:48
If nothing else, can't you just quit the game in the middle of the outing? Then play the game from the last save?

Yeah....but I didn't save before he went into the taxi Tongue I have to start all over Cry
13  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Talk me out of it, or convince me I am doing the right thing... on: 2006 August 01, 16:56:17
You know. You can just ignore the business feature all together really. I haven't been setting up any bisnesses except for one little home made bakery that Brandi Broke and her family runs to survive. All the other businesses I have are the ones already in game and I don't really play them at all yet.

And if you want the special items, like the snap dragons or the toys and robots you can download them of sites like MTS2.
14  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: a baby downtown :/ on: 2006 August 01, 16:49:59
Well it better go home. It is the ONLY male child of Johnny Burb and HE has to carry on the family name :/

Yes, I am old fashioned Cheesy
15  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: a baby downtown :/ on: 2006 August 01, 16:46:21
What if someone in the party picks it up and holds it....? That is what I am mainly afraid of.
16  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Talk me out of it, or convince me I am doing the right thing... on: 2006 August 01, 16:45:33
I can only give you my experience. So far...knocks on wood...not counting the adventurous downtown travelling baby, I have not had problems with OFB and i have it patched. BUT I also have not played the biz side of that expansions very much but when I do, I will incorporate some of Pes' special biz hacks/fixes.

I haven't regretted buying OFB. And I bought it/installed it very soon after it came into stores here.
17  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / a baby downtown :/ on: 2006 August 01, 16:38:47
Little baby George Burb is lying on the curb, between the phone and the trashcan at the FM lot. Can someone please help the little fellow get home?

And is my game fubar?

Here is the story. Newly divorced, whatshisname got a call from a friend asking him to go out with a few friends...I think it is the outing thing, and when he arrived at the FM place little George was awaiting for him.

How can I fix this and what can I do to prevent this from happening again?

Oh and btw. The baby is selectable. The guy can hold it and cuddle it and play with it.

19  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: a bank loan mod? on: 2006 July 29, 18:44:33
Ah. No. I just moved out hte family, successfully Smiley but the new Monique computer I bought for them (I didn't throw the older one into their inventory) did not remember the loan. At all.

Big bummer, as this is a no cheat family :/
20  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: a bank loan mod? on: 2006 July 29, 16:00:06
Doh! Im majorly blushing now. Monique computer DOES have a loan application lol

Thanks guys. One more question Grin if I take a loan and then move them out...do i have to put the computer into their inventory before they move out or can I buy a new monique computer and have the loan survive through that one?

And is it very risky to move out with 2 newborn infants? They really really need a bigger home.
21  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: a bank loan mod? on: 2006 July 29, 15:52:00
The money order I already have but it not an option for me....The goth's will kill me if I dip any more into their already diminishing funds :/

I don't think you can get a loan from the Monique computer....it does have a bank mod yes, but I have never used it. I thought it was only for putting money in bank...not to get loan... im gonna fire up the game to check it out. The family in most problem does have the Monique computer...

Does the ATM machine conflict with Monique?
22  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / a bank loan mod? on: 2006 July 29, 14:48:15
Various of my none cheat families have exploaded their houses off themselves (darn twins) but they can't afford to move out to bigger house so I was wondering if there is a bank loan mod out there, something that doesn't conflict with monique's computer?

I don't mind them having to pay interests on the loans, as long as it can be payed back.

Darn twins.

Thanks  Kiss
24  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Need to identify/find a few hacks... on: 2006 May 20, 15:52:35
My god you guys are fast. I forgot to check Crammyboy, and of course! no social workers. Now I remember I desperately needed it after OFB because that expansion resetted the Broke lot and the boys didn't get school credit and their grades dropped too low.

Thanks you 2 Smiley
25  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Need to identify/find a few hacks... on: 2006 May 20, 15:43:34
I am going over my hacks folder and also looking into my old hacks folder I had before I installed OFB and there are some hacks I can't find for OFB and just wondering if they are necessary or compatible...

NoWelfare.package: This one is in my OFB hack folder and this is not Pescado's hack because it does not have a rtfm.txt file along with it. Anyone know what it does and who created it?
NoForceWatchFight.package: This one is Pescado's but I can't find it in the OFB directory or in the director's cut zip file in OFB directory...is this an obsololete fix for OFB? As in do I not need it anymore? My Sims have been unusually well behaved lately so I can't judge if it has been fixed.
mondayfix.package: Also Pescado's and I was unable to find it...same question as above Smiley

Also an unrelated question...about Melora's multipainting and her mind control mirror....are they compatible to OFB or have they been updated?
