Here's my question. Will you ever make a hack where teens and adults can love each other? Have you already? I've looked everywhere on this site... Maybe not hard enough. ???

There are already several different hacks on other sites that allow romantic interactions between teens and older Sims, so there isn't really much reason for someone here to make one.

A non-pregnancy teen woohoo mod can be found here (http://www.insimenator.net/forumdisplay.php?f=78)

The non-awesome, but superbly fabulous ;) kitten killer can be found here (http://mysite.verizon.net/aestudios/sims2/index.htm).

I use Woohoo for teens, which Syberspunk posted the link to.  Works great.

Statutory rape is bad, m'kay?

ETA: Is there an incest mod, too?  I'm in the mood for one of those.  ::)

Doesn't the kitten killer do that?  Or am I thinking of the other one ....

Neither one of those mods do the incest thing

Well, there was a few reported incidents in one of the old NL versions before a hotfix came out for it...

No, I didn't mean the other one mentioned here.  I meant the other one whose name I can't remember ..... clearly it's the other one, since the kitten killer doesn't do it.  The name will come to me ..... (I think I killed too many brain cells last night.  Either that or getting too close to elderhood ....)

Someone say incest? Go to MTS2 and find the Closer Family Patch.

Yea, that's the one.  I tried it, but I pulled it out when it got kinda creepy when a son started autonomously hitting on his mom...  :o

I actually would like to know the answer to this question as well - would Pescado or TJ ever make a hack like this?  I'm not asking either of them to do so, just wondering if either would.

No. That's nasty. Sims are already allowed nasty-relationships with great-uncles, and that's nasty.

Pet woohoo, on the other hand, just has to be done just because. And if we ever get sheep, we need a bekilted NPC who sneaks furtively onto your lot in the dead of the night to abscond with one of your sheep, only to return the sheep before dawn.

I don't mean incest - that is disgusting.  I mean teen woohoo or pregnancy.

I think it is too, I'm not sure I would play with it if he did release something like that.  Teen pregnancy hits too close to home for me to inflict that on my poor Simmies (and no, not me, but my sister, mother, brother, etc.) - simply enabling it doesn't mean it's an Inteen thing, you know.  But apparently you've made your view known.

I forgot to turn on the family relationships check with LizzLoves' bed (I had turned it off for Arthur Rex Pendragon and Morgan Leigh Fae).....and suddenly all the ladies in Camelot were preggers by their fathers, brothers, etc........
incest in Sims is absolutely possible, and they don't mind at all, but I was very creeped out.
FYI: Mordred turned out to be a very good looking toddler, and heinous adult.

That sounds like a fun neighborhood, Elfpuddle. Are you making stories of it somewhere?

Title: Re: Will you ever...
Post by: ElfPuddle on 2006 May 19, 18:10:54
Nope. I never remember to take pictures until it's too late....I think the only Camelot pics were of Morgan as a child smustling while her mother married Arthur's dad. Someday I'll remember what the camera function is for! That's my goal.

I mainly use the teen woohoo mod in my game for YAs and teens to be able to continue their relationship even after one goes to college, and also for some dirty old Romance Sims who like to get it on with anything that moves, regardless of age or gender.  ::)  I don't use InTeen because I don't want teen pregnancy, so the teen woohoo mod does what I want.  I did do a story a while back in Strangetown where Ripp had an affair with his step-mother, Erin Singles, after she married his father.  I considered having her get pregnant by him just for kicks, because Strangetown is, well, strange.  And I thought they might make a cute kid, but I never did.  Now he's at college, and I've not played Strangetown in months.

I seriously worry about any person that is playing incest stories in their game but as long as I don't know about it, I can pretend it doesn't exist.

Of course I do have creepy Steven Parker getting it on with his niece, but at least it's by marriage and I didn't initiate the nastyness.

Sure the Inteen has the feature to allow teens and adults/elders to have relationships but I never find myself letting that happen.  I guess those types of relationships aren't something I find interesting..err something.

There's plenty of other mods/hacks whatever that allow teen woohoo  out there besides Inteen...Lizzlove's beds will allow it just to name one.

Post by: Sagana on 2006 May 19, 19:13:34
I understand about the camera, I have similar problems. It does sound like lots of fun though. If you ever write a story or something up, let me know. I'd love to read about it.

I used Inteen for Uni students. If I was going to let them woohoo, I'm going to let them get pregnant too. The automatic birth control in the sims kinda bugs me really.

Some people play the sims for stories (writing them or writing them in their heads) and some stories involve incest. The Arthurian stuff is a prime example, but there'd be lots of others. If it's a part of life, then it's something expressed in any artistic medium (writing, art, theater, whatever) so it doesn't bother me that it's available. I might rather have pretty pictures on my walls, but it might be more important that I'm occasionally faced with a story that makes me uncomfortable.

Wonderfully put! I think there's a difference between the kind of story (or art, or....) that makes us uncomfortable for a purpose....thinking about the world, changing public policy, etc, and the kind that are there strictly to offend (need I point out any of the "give ti to me" WooHoo stories there are out there?). In education theory classes, that line is the "teachable moment". You must be slightly out of your comfort zone to learn, but if you're too far out, you shut down. You can't change domestic violence laws without mentioning incest; you can't tell the story of Camelot without mentioning it; but you needn't be attempting it at home, either.

In a game, why do you need something that makes you uncomfortable though?

Title: Re: Will you ever...
Post by: akatonbo on 2006 May 19, 19:57:43
Probably the same reason why V.C. Andrews (or any horror author, to extend the analogy more broadly, but Andrews in particular is fairly notorious for incest) is a bestselling author. Some people enjoy reading things that make them uncomfortable for fun. And teen pregnancy in general isn't an uncomfortable issue for everyone, and teen-teen woohoo even less so. (I personally think the fact that teens and college students can't date in-game normally is a little silly -- that's not even particularly controversial.)

It would be more interesting if it created inbred, mentally-deficient sims.

Title: Re: Will you ever...
Post by: BlueSoup on 2006 May 19, 20:20:18
I personally don't care for it, only because my brother and sister both had kids as 16-year-olds, and subsequently have had very hard lives.  I feel their pain and while they may not quite regret it (although my sister very nearly gave up her son for adoption about six months after he was born - during which time I was taking care of him full-time with a full-time job, and I was only nineteen), they both would have made different choices if they had to do it all over again.

Anyway, long story short, I prefer the slightly unreal, idealistic world of my Simmies and I try not to change it too much (annoying coded habits notwithstanding!)

Unless I'm writing a story with that theme, I don't need it :) I play the game the way that's fun for me. But I need it available for other people, so I can read their stories. Maybe have an uncomfortable moment learning experience. Maybe be able to empathise a bit more with your life or your sisters or brothers. Or so other people can, even if I never do.

I don't like pink. I rarely paint with that color - my little girls don't wear pink clothes. I've thought several times about starting a "Simply Sick of Pink" site for kids with lots of girl's stuff in other colors. I just don't like it, Sam I Am ;) But I need it to be a part of the pallet so other people can paint pigs or make frilly victorian clothes or whatever. I don't want to use it myself, but I definately don't want it banned altogether.

Half the sims in the game look inbred anyways. And they're *all* mentally-defiicient. Isn't that why you play with free-will off?

I never use any of those mods.

And I was a victim of incest. It wasn't fun at the time. I try not to think about it. That's something that's hard for people to understand...it sounds intriguing, but if you were a victim of it, it leaves scars. Believe me, I know.

Nuff said.

Feel free not to think about it Jarsie. Please don't think I'm trying to promote it or trying to make you (or anyone) uncomfortable. I've been speaking about entertainment in general, not just TS2. There are certainly many things which I don't deal well with. I've got PTSD, and I'd rather not go there. So I don't.

I have a hack that allows incest (yes, okay, eww, but it was for a storyline, so nah) called CloserFamily-OptionalPatch.package. I think I may have picked it up at MTS2, but I'm not sure. It works, and I don't think I've ever had it conflict with anything

*edit* Here is the link: http://modthesims2.com/showthread.php?t=82368
It says it's for nightlife, but it works fine with OFB.

Does a mod exist which enables non-pregnancy teen-to-teen woohoo without enabling teen-to-adult or teen-to-elder or anything else like that? If so, where can I get it?

Title: Re: Will you ever...
Post by: RainbowTigress on 2006 May 21, 07:19:14
You can use the Woohoo for Teens mod but just don't have them woohoo with adults or elders.  I'm not sure if one exists that only enables it for teens.  Jenflowers was the one who made the original Woohoo for teens, but Jase has taken over the project since she stepped out.  He now maintains it at his site along wtih InTeen.

True, I suppose that would work... I don't guess we have autonomous woohooing to worry about, do we? *whaps self on the head for not realizing that woohoo isn't an autonomous action*

Title: Re: Will you ever...
Post by: RainbowTigress on 2006 May 21, 07:58:20
Not unless you have Lizz Love's autonomous waterbed.  :D  Of course, even if you did, you can change the settings on it to make it so teens can't use it.  Even if you have teens in love with older sims, they will not spin up romantic wants toward them, because the wants tree doesn't recognize those relationships.  So I usually don't end up pursuing those relationships because I like getting the aspiration points for it, LOL.
