Hair files in Skintones
« on: 2007 June 27, 20:36:52 »
THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I opened a skin file in bodyshop and when I looked at the files, I found three male hair files.  I would like to know what causes this to happen.  In a related note:I see the same three male hair textures on blonde male sims in various stages of baldness.

I'm not entirely sure, but I think that those hair files have something to do with how the skin meshes with the hairline on a sim.  I'm a real noob though so I could very well be wrong.

I know what the means, it means the hair creator messed up.  I did this myself recently.  I managed to set a flag for the hair as a skintone, and it caused a few minor problems like that.  Recoloring it would not help, as the recolors would do the same thing.  I had to go back to SimPE and Theo's color binning tool to fix it.  Find the custom created hair responsible and either fix it in SimPE, get the creator to do it for you, or delete it.  Janna used to do something similar, way back before any expansions existed yet.

The hair textures in question belong too Old/TSR Janna creations.  Now I have to look up the file, so I can chuck it.  I think I set a hair flag for a skintone during my nood days of dinning.
