Title: Data-Clearing Borkination

I frequent this section of MATY too much, no?

So I freshly pirated Free Time, and the pretty thing ran well for my first few play sessions. I go and say "Hmm, I need me some shiny new eyeballs!" and I download a set of default replacements that worked well for everybody. I fire up TS2, and the very first thing I notice is the "For Sale" icon and the icon displaying what season the lot is in is missing from every house. I double click an empty house and a blank message box with a blank box flashes up. Goody fucking gumdrops.

So I'm thinking "Ok, maybe the interface threw up" and I go to my newly made legacy. The first thing I notice is the need bars have no title. I go to relationships, they all display the name and value of them, but the little spill saying "I don't know this sim, I just met them" is gone. So I go to interests. Again, no title, no roll-over. Testing cheats was fruitless.

I switch to Pleasantview to see if maybe just Desidereta Valley is broken. Nope, the relationship roll over spills are back along with the need titles, but that's it. I also noticed that every Want/Fear is in the format "<unidentified string> be best Friends with $sim$" This game hates me.

How can I recover my game without regenerating the folder?

I had the titles of songs missing, except for custom music. Instead of titles the IDs are shown. Maybe this is related...

Did you try the good old quit game, reboot, restart game? And try a fresh neighbourhood?

There's no way some default replacement eyes caused this. No CC could cause this.

In my case, reboot did help.
