1  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Jealous much? on: 2010 September 03, 02:51:42
The EAxis jealousy is so bad it's hilarious. Basically everyone in Simsville has telepathy and knows if you're getting it on within the household. Say your male sim John is cheating on his girl Jane with the hot chick from next door (let's say, Candy), the instant they do anything beyond complimenting each other, EVERYONE in the household will know and be pissed at them both.

The girlfriend will know it, the mother-in-law visiting will know it, the baby 3 rooms away will know it... Hell, even that mailman and paperboy will see negative relationship points from the adultery.

That ain't jealousy, that's some kind of ultra-Christian 10 commandment thing on steroids.

Funny thing is, if you kiss across the street from the house, no one will know.
2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: How can I get rid of a file I cannot find that, by all means, doesnt exist? on: 2010 June 20, 01:54:21
How does that top stay ON, anyway? It doesn't appear to be strapped to anything and it clearly lacks enough spring tension to simply be held on by elasticity, so how does it stay there? Tape?
Two words: Nipple Clamps.
3  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Ambitions CTD when entering a lot on: 2010 June 03, 16:52:59
CTDs are like STDs. It's everywhere, but people don't always see the signs.
4  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Sloppy Jalopy is camping outside my sim's house? on: 2010 May 16, 17:12:58
There's a car parked outside my sim's house across the street that never goes away. When I point at it it says "Sloppy Jalopy"... WTF? Is this the new Sim Stalker add-on that I'm not aware of? Also my sims started getting burglarized very often once this started happening. I tried using the moveobject command but it can't kill cars. I'm scared... Cry
5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: premature birthday happening automatically on: 2010 April 13, 23:13:56
Always feed them a life fruit when they move in. That'll eliminate the premature aging problem (also eliminates premature ejaculation).
6  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: My Fambly Tree Button Is Borkenated on: 2010 March 11, 00:20:49
I also have experienced the tree problem with my oldest sim, who is made immortal by a constant supply of ambrosia and virgin blood. She started out as the subject of an incest experiment for me to determine how many generations apart can family members interbreed. Turns out the number is over nine thousand.

In any case, I named them alphabetically denoting generation. The sim in question is generation A (ie. one), and the current generation is J (ie. 10). Gen A sim is the only one experiencing the broken tree button. All other gens appear to be fine. However should I trace the tree up from the 10th gen the trees unlink at 4th or 5th gen. Some other 2nd and 3rd gen sims also show floating trees in which the lines linking the tree / thumbnails no longer exist.

Oh well, game still works so whatever. For an EA product this already exceeds all expectations. LOL

ps. incest (if you want to call that still) enabled on 2nd cousins I believe. However interbreeding causes *bleep* up trees.
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Need code_version.txt for WA version 2.4.7 region 02 on: 2010 February 15, 08:24:17
If anyone is still running version 2.4.7 with region 02, please just post the line in the file. I'm getting an invalid file error on this file during 2.5.1.2 patching process. Thanks.
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Floating Sim....WTF!!! on: 2009 November 29, 04:42:56
No no no, that's clearly a homage to Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Your sim is taking a leap of faith... Down main street!
9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Can I install WA into the Sims 3 directory? on: 2009 November 28, 00:37:33
Same rule as Sims 1 & Sims 2 then...

I did install the game into a sub folder called "EP01" just in case.
10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Can I install WA into the Sims 3 directory? on: 2009 November 26, 03:35:24
Or should I install it to a separate directory? The old exe seems to point to the new one anyway. Can I just install the expansion into the same directory and overwrite the old sims 3 files?
11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch 1.3 Released on: 2009 July 31, 14:16:23
Is there a censor remover for 1.3? A standalone version?
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Official Sims 3 Patch on: 2009 July 30, 19:49:45
Is there a stand alone no censor mod? The precomp file is swapped and the old mod doesn't seem to work anymore.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 July 02, 15:36:26
I tried reinstalling the reloaded version that was the 615 release. Then I updated it using the reloaded to razor patch download. And the sku version says it's 1.0.631.00002...which is the retail, as it should be.

Then I downloaded the 1.2.7.00002 from 1.0.631.00002 from a link here. And it says it's the wrong damn region. Which is bullshit.

What should I do here?
Edit registry so that the sku matches. Instruction on previous page in my post.
14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 July 01, 17:59:53
Just read you comment, that still seems confusing, i can't download the thing you have posted
Don't use the Rapidshare one since the bandwidth limit has been reached. Use the sendspace link. Open it with internet explorer (Firefox doesn't work for some reason).

Previous page of this thread, my post.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 30, 18:53:59
I just get to 95% and it errors saying bin/skuversion.txt. I'm not what sure what to do can please someone advise me what needs to be done
Depends on whether or not you have the file and which version of the game you have.
If you have region 2 (ie. 1.0.631.00002), type the following in a text file and save it as skuversion.txt in sims 3 \ game \ bin

GameVersion = 1.0.631.00002
Code:0.DL-0.0.11195
Asset:1.Content.Devtest.1397
Thumbnails:1.Thumbnail.dl.933
TCC:1.TCC.dl.1209
CiderVersion#002432
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 30, 05:17:02
Alright, I'm no quitter, I'll play your game. I've read this thread, and I'm kind of at a loss...

Has anyone patched the "arr-vesion" 1.0.631.00003 (from what I've read, that's the pirated retail version from some part of Asia... Definitely wouldn't have installed an Asian version if I knew at the time, but the language is all English so I never noticed) I'll edit the registry, whatever I need to do, I just need to know *what* to do...

*EDIT: I'm running Windows XP, and the text file that came with my version says nothing about Razor or Reloaded.
Well first thing you need to do is check your launcher and see exactly what version you have, then find a place to download the patch for that version / region.

You shouldn't change your registry unless you had a reloaded version (which is region 7) that was patched to conform with razor (region 2) w/o the registry change (ie. sku file reads 2, registry reads 7). Assuming the "arr" version is a retail clone, you should have no trouble patching as long as you can get this official patch
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Patch released. on: 2009 June 28, 06:25:08
Here's the same file as my above post hosted on sendspace. Dunno how much bandwidth is allowed on this. PM me if you need the file.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/vu1qjk

Also, the file is basically the game \ bin folder from the original EU version install. It has all the help files, the sims3launcher.resource.package files (especially that cs-CZ one that's causing problems), as well as the main executable file, launcher file, and the sku version text file.

Happy patching!
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Patching Problem? One step solution here! on: 2009 June 27, 23:40:09
Having trouble patching? Here's what to do:

First download this file: http://rapidshare.com/files/249397309/patch_fix.rar.html
CAN SOMEONE PLEASE RE-HOST IT SINCE RAPIDSHARE ONLY ALLOWS 10 FREE D/Ls!!!

Note:
This is for region 2 (ie. European version) of TS3. If you have the region 1 (ie. US version) then please seek help elsewhere. To find out which version you have, open TS3 game launcher and check lower left corner. Then quickly close the launcher for it will open a portal to the depths of hell and release evils of unimaginable horror.

1. Modify HKLM\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Sims\The Sims 3\SKU value to 2
(For 32bit, the key is under HKLM\SOFTWARE\Sims\The Sims 3). If you're on XP, GBAD for all the shit you've been giving us Vista users.
2. Extract content of the above package and override the files in your TS3 folder.
3. Apply the Sims3_1.2.7.00002_from_1.0.631.00002.exe patch.
4. Apply Awesomemod (cause it's awesome and TS3 would not be worth playing w/o it)
5. Huh
6. PROFIT!!!

More Note:
If you got *bleep* over by Reloaded like I did, you need to download a patch that will replace the FullBuild0.package file. The correct file size should be 1,023,864,748 bytes. If you don't know how to get it, you do not deserve to play this game.

Credit:
- I stole all the files off the interwebs, mostly from this board.
- Awesomemod is made by J. M. Pescado, who shall always be praised as the one true god. Also if you're the FBI looking for a scapegoat, he's the mastermind behind it all.
- The credit for other files I'm too lazy to look up or list. I claim no authority over them nor responsiblity. Use at your own risk.
