Exporting full sims - Ingame sims don't want to be packaged properly

THANKS THIS IS GREAT

I got myself all confused again and can't figure it out. I searched for an answer, but maybe in the wrong places, because I got none. Or it's totally obvious. I don't know.

When I export a saved Bodyshop-sim, it gets saved as .Sims2Pack and Clean Installer shows the included packages. Everything's good so far.
But when I extract a sim from the game with SimPe, put it into Bodyshop and make a .Sims2Pack, it gets weird: Clean Installer shows only one package, which is practically the cloned character package (something like N001_User00051, for example).

So, am I simply doing something wrong? How do I get it to only include the seperate packages, not the whole character file? I know it has to work somehow.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Try this tutorial over on livejournal. TL;DR version: are you cloning them and then saving them?
