If you don't have the HCDU, try it out. That's an easier way to find out if your hacks are conflicting with each other.
277 TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Are ninjas ... people? on: 2008 January 06, 06:41:23
By "unsightly social faux pas" you just mean the Grand Vampires' tendency to continue doing the "stalk" animation even if you give them Vamprocillin, right? Because one of my Sims married a Grand Vampire and other than that, things have been fine... (Had to de-vamp him. Someone in that house had to work XD)
278 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's in YOUR Downloads? on: 2008 January 06, 02:25:33
The fruitbowl also lets you move stuff around in bulk and get a stock count - you can't do either with the maxis juicer. It provides less extra functionality if you also have a hacked juicer like the one from DJSims. Of course the fruitbowl is probably going to work fine in future EPs whereas maxis are almost bound to mess up the juicer so that the hacked juicer doesn't work any more and you lose your produce. That's the other reason it's awesome.

I don't plan on buying more EPs after hearing about the SecuROM fiasco anyway, and I have the hacked juicer, so I'm set. Smiley
279 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: What's in YOUR Downloads? on: 2008 January 05, 04:04:53
Um... Hoo boy. I never realized how many hacks I have. Most of them are FFS tweaks or twojeffs.

(I recently took out the Fruitbowl of Awesomeness because I'm not sure what it does that the juicer doesn't, besides letting you autosell produce. I thought you could sell produce in OFB and that that was what it was for, but I guess not... Don't know what the Magic Wand's supposed to do either.)

Honestly, I'm amazed there aren't any conflicts (well, HCDU does call up a couple, but they're ones that are already discussed in the readmes of the hacks as being benign.)

I took screencaps of the folder, just to find out what ones are actually obsolete- there's got to be quite a few. Yes, I'm stupid for not clearing it out, but the game's been running smoothly so I never really thought about it... (And then I spent ages putting them in a text file when I realized I couldn't upload .jpgs here.)

I have all EPS up to Seasons, fully patched, no stuff packs.

So here's the list- and that's just my hacks folder! (almost forgot to put Inteen on there because it and its flavor packs are in the main Downloads folder... hmm, I think the ones I'm using are No Adult Teens, Risky Runaway/Sneakout/Honeymoon, and actually that's it. also the lottery move-in fix. And Crammyboy's nudist hack, I thought that was IN the hacks folder but I guess not.)

Attics- like on that one farm lot in Riverblossom Hills (the one with the orchard and the barn?) I can't even get it to let me put furniture in the one on the barn...
281 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Do player vampires autonomously bite and turn other player sims? on: 2007 November 07, 01:26:54
I have a married-in Grand Vampire. I've never seen him autobite anyone, although he did auto-Bleh!! one of my Sims once and still does the "stalking" walk.
282 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Weather reaction is wrecked on: 2007 October 14, 00:27:31
Depends where in CA. Last year, we were camping in the northern part of the state, in the mountains, and it hailed. In the beginning of f-ing August.

- actually it was kind of fun, the whole family (us, and the aunts and uncles, and their friends...) trying to cram into Uncle Matt's trailer and under the awning. Cheesy
283 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cleaning up Characters? on: 2007 October 07, 17:00:06
Since BV it is possible to delete subhoods without first adding another of the same type. This possibly even came in with seasons, but it was after BV that I noticed the trashcan was no longer greyed out with only one subhood of that type. It still dumps the residents into the sim bin, though.

Yeah, it must be a Seasons feature, because it *did* let me delete Bluewater (although just to be on the safe side, I moved the Sims I still wanted to play out of there and killed the ones I didn't.)

Incidentally, Malcom Landgraab's mansion is ridiculously large. What'd the Maxoids expect us to do with all that space? XP

Anyway, as for Bella- Found a tutorial to clone her appearance and move the relations etc. onto the new, complete Sim. That should work. It didn't say what to do with the old Bella, though. XD
284 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Does this sound like a SecuROM side effect? on: 2007 October 07, 02:26:13
I hadn't planned to get BV anyway, but now I'm definitely not going to. Great job, EAxis. Roll Eyes

Edit: Shit. Can't avoid it anyway: according to Wikipedia (if it's right), Neverwinter Nights 2 has a version of SecuROM on it. :/ Which means that this computer (our main internet computer) and my laptop are "infected".

However, I haven't seen any of the problems you guys have mentioned so far... We removed NWN2 from this computer anyway, so are there any ways to remove SecuROM without reformatting? x_X
285 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cleaning up Characters? on: 2007 October 06, 03:24:15
The lot debugger only prepares the sim for deletion; if you want to complete the process, read the 'Deleted 2' thread in The War Room.

That's where I read that you're not supposed to delete Sims with family ties. Smiley I just wonder if I can return her to her pre-resurrected state, since all I did to resurrect her (following some clearly non-awesome person's tutorial) was set her not to be dead, put her in a family, uh, I think there was some other box to uncheck too ("Unlinked", maybe)... This was with Ye Olde SimPE, though.
286 TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: More Awful Than You! October: Fugly Tops on: 2007 October 06, 02:53:38
Sounds like fun, in an eye-burning kind of way.
287 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cleaning up Characters? on: 2007 October 06, 02:27:54
I can't delete Bella (even with the Lot Debugger) because she still has family ties to the Goths- but I resurrected her with SimPE, it should theoretically be easy to reverse the process.

I'd need to cut her relations with everyone she met since, right? And what else?

Edit: I searched the forum, and Jordi stated in another thread that spawning the kittenkiller InTeen's biological clock fixes most problems. Would this apply to Bella? If I can't undo my resurrection of her, I'll at least be careful not to breed her.
288 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cleaning up Characters? on: 2007 October 05, 04:49:28
Guys, would you all quit flaming each other and get back on topic?

What sorts of things does resurrecting Bella do, exactly? Because, uh. I did that too back before I heard anything about it being a VBT. No problems so far, although I've only even played her house like once (I forgot about it because it was in Bluewater- is deleting subhoods okay? Because I don't play in Bluewater Village anyway. I've poured more time into the Sims series than I feel I should have as it is, although probably nothing compared to you guys, and I don't want to f*** it up now.)
289 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Bon Voyage satisfaction on: 2007 September 23, 02:08:56
I don't have BV, as I've sworn not to buy any more EPs- I'm just here to point out that you can delete subhoods even without BV. At any rate, I had no problem deleting Bluewater Village...
290 Awesomeware / The Armory / Re: FFS "Batbox" Lot Debugger v2.0: NUCLEAR WAR EDITION on: 2007 September 22, 20:25:47
What's "Fix... Age Body" do, anyway?
291 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request, nay Demand! for a new FAQ on: 2007 June 25, 01:21:10
Alright, so basically the ones your Sims can't have romantic entanglements with anyway. Smiley
(Although... enough people seem to want to get their Sims pregnant by the Grim Reaper that I'm guessing it doesn't BFBVFS the game. Probably. Don't think I'll try it. XD)
292 TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Lost some want slots... on: 2007 June 24, 17:28:06
Okay, I'll try that. (Dunno why the option isn't showing up on the Lot Debugger.)
Going to a community lot rerolled the empty slots. Smiley Thanks.

(The portrait thing I mentioned? Must've been Jase's anti-aging elixir mod, because I took that out for a totally unrelated reason and the Goths' family portrait shows properly now.)

Edit: Okay. Coulda sworn I had the College Adjuster installed- guess I didn't, but I was able to add their want slots with the InSimenator. (Yes, I know, a non-awesome.) They're still rolling some blank slots, but as far as I can gather that'll stop after a while.
293 TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: Lost some want slots... on: 2007 June 24, 06:29:11
Will that make it show their Uni want slots? (I mean, it's literally only showing four want slots at all. Which is alarming and irritating.)
294 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Deleting neighborhoods? on: 2007 June 24, 06:26:55
Got it, thanks. Smiley
295 TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Lost some want slots... on: 2007 June 24, 06:23:23
... in the Goth family.

I just upgraded to Seasons, and I wanted to give the Goths a greenhouse.
Here's the problem.

I know I upgraded Cassandra and Mortimer Goth to six wants/two locks with the Lot Debugger previously. And now it's back to only four slots- in Cassandra's case, three empty. (Mortimer has two empty.) And the Lot Debugger isn't showing the "Upgrade Pre-Uni Sim" option. :/

I checked to see if it was the corrupted objects.package thing- I guess not, because it doesn't show want information when I hover on the empty slots. They're just empty.

I tried to get their wants to reroll by various methods (fufilling the one that was left on Cassandra's, having them sleep, using the Lot Debugger and then the InSIM to reroll), and it didn't work. But it's the fact that they lost two want slots each that really bothers me.

My hacks are all either Awesome, DJS or Paladin (which are near-awesome right?), or the Kitten Killer, and I've checked for conflicts... I haven't deleted any Sims... I don't know what the heck is going on here.

(Incidentally, it's only been showing half their portrait ever since I moved Dina, Don, and two cats in. But the family seemed to be running fine anyway, up until now.)
296 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request, nay Demand! for a new FAQ on: 2007 June 24, 05:01:13
Not that that wouldn't make for some pretty interesting, if disgusting, storylines. Roll Eyes

Which NPCs have incomplete DNA, anyway? (So I know which ones to avoid, as I don't know how to fix them.)
297 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Deleting neighborhoods? on: 2007 June 24, 04:58:16
Does deleting an entire neighborhood cause any problems? I don't play Riverblossom Hills or Strangetown (or Veronaville, but my Sister claimed that one), so I don't really see the point in having them taking up space.

Figured I'd better make sure though, since so much other stuff can cause a BFBVFS...
298 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Is OfB worth it? on: 2007 June 23, 22:36:09
Like the above poster said, it depends on your playstyle. I personally like the business angle (and even better, the business rewards!), the furniture looks good, and some of the craftable items are pretty nifty. Servos, on the other hand, are More Ugly Than You. But hey, they free up your normal Sims' time for non-cleaning-related activities.

As for the game engine, I'll take katenigma's word for it. *shrug* I have the holes fixed with MATY hacks anyway.
299 TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Request, nay Demand! for a new FAQ on: 2007 June 23, 22:28:01
Oh, the cell phone. *whew!* Haven't done that.

As for the first names in SimPE thing... So it's not a game-breaker, just an annoying little thing?
300 TS2: Burnination / Oops! You Broke It! / Re: The Crittur and Roseland families are so wonderfully interesting... on: 2007 June 23, 05:36:54
In two different neighborhoods?
