1  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: AwesomeMod Bug Report Thread on: 2015 December 12, 07:46:10
Was spawnmoreoverlords removed at some point? I'd like to populate this empty neighborhood without installing Twallan SP or spending ages in and out of CAS, but the game keeps insisting there's no such code. I've tried it with testingcheats on and with AwesomeDebug on, no dice.

Disregard this comment. Even after years I'm still the kind of noob who manages to enable the wrong freaking debug. Overlords successfully spawned, though roughly half of them had the same last name ("Peasant") which is strange.

I've noticed the "bloated Buy Mode" issue too, although CAS looks normal. (I use MasterController's compact mode for CAS, so maybe it's hiding the extras?) Swing sets show up as multiple parts in the catalog, though they appear to place normally no matter which piece you select.

Is it just me, or was that ceiling light in a previous set? And of course L-shaped stairs, something the base game could have used a long long time ago, are overpriced DLC.

Can anyone corroborate the newbie's report of broken CC, or was it probably a tight pants situation? Because some of these changes actually do look decent.
5  Awesomeware / AwesomeMod! / Re: Awesomod discussion/questions/helpful tips thread on: 2013 May 02, 01:58:55
Okay, search has failed me.

Can inactive (non-Chosen) famblies adopt pets on their own when Awesomestory is active? Does this require pet supplies on the lot, as per the crib/bed requirements for human spawning? After a couple in-game weeks or so in one of my saves, the only dog I ever saw around besides the strays was the one belonging to my active Sim.

edit: never mind, probably a stupid question
7  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Store Patch 2.0 on: 2012 December 10, 20:54:11
I figured as much. I take it I'm stuck with them then? Is that likely to be harmful to the game?
8  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Store Patch 2.0 on: 2012 December 10, 20:48:18
If your Launcher is allowed to connect to the interwebs it will offer to generate one for you, too. Even without Origin, surprisingly.

However, I'm having trouble with it. I have a mix of packages (most things) and sims3pack (neighborhoods, counters), all decrapped as CCMagic and the Launcher don't handle undecrapified Store shit. So I decrapped the content patch, but ended up with a lot of blank thumbnails in buy mode:

Removing the patch made the buggy thumbnails go away. I'll try it in Overrides instead of ContentPatch as recommended in the store fixes thread, but it's kind of stupid that it's not working when it's in the place it's logically supposed to go.

Does it work if your store content is in .packages?

I love what you did with the staircase. Might have to plop this baby into Lunar Lakes...

Spontaneous combustion wasn't a good idea the first time they implemented it, so of course they had to bring it back.  Roll Eyes
12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 11.01.2012) on: 2012 November 04, 21:51:09
Out of curiosity, which Twallan mod supposedly conflicts with this? I wasn't aware his mods even touched the Store crap.

^ What Noenmity said. Two EPs in what, three months, is a little absurd anyway: this game is buggy enough when they do leave time to bugtest their crap.

What about CASDetails8x2- is that likely to be safe?
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Combining Packages - best results? on: 2012 July 06, 18:55:08
CC Magic cuts packages off at a gigabyte, so I'm guessing the game can handle pretty big packages. (I don't actually use CC Magic since I'm used to MultiInstaller/S3PE, so this is guesswork on my part.) I'm guessing the "can't read over 200MB" figure comes from that being the point where the Launcher starts a new .dbc.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: TS3 Store Content Fixes (Updated 06/08/12) on: 2012 June 29, 02:04:34
So the Tree disappearing wasn't just me, then? That's kind of a relief.
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 Patch 1.34 on: 2012 June 12, 03:33:19
So, what did the patch break this time?
18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 06.08.2012) on: 2012 June 10, 21:57:49
Eh, I'd already decrapified the sims3packs back before I gave up on the launcher and didn't want to download them again. I'll keep that in mind for future downloads though.
19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 05.31.2012) on: 2012 June 05, 05:05:03
The majority of my content is installed as decrapped packages, but I installed Lunar Lakes and Hidden Springs (also decrapped) through the launcher. You said these fixes assume everything was installed the same way, so is there likely to be a problem with the tree of prosperity or fountain of youth?

Also, just to be a hundred percent clear, ccmerged_decrapped goes in Overrides if you use packages, not DCBackup?

edit: found the answer to one of the things I asked, so I took that out so as not to waste your time.
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Is Anyone Using Process Monitor Now? on: 2012 June 04, 02:59:44
I'm on Vista 32-bit (yes I know, but it's what the computer came with and once I got used to it I never bothered to upgrade.) I can't run Process Monitor either- the whole computer locks up tight. I haven't noticed any unusual slowdowns, and things come up clean on Delphy's Dashboard, but is there an alternative to check for bad files anyway?
21  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: KT's Store Fixes (updated 05.03.2012) on: 2012 May 07, 05:32:51
I was getting a couple corrupt (showed up as bald) hairs in my game; after investigating it looks like noRandoms causes it if you don't have the Barnacle Bay hats. Easy enough to fix in simPE, but I thought I'd give people a heads up.
22  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 Patch 1.33 on: 2012 April 08, 02:18:09
There's still no 1.32-1.33 incremental? Ugh, I'd really prefer not to download a 1GB superpatcher just so that I can update Awesomemod. EA can eat a bag of dicks.
23  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patches 1.31/1.32 on: 2012 March 15, 17:19:01
As expected, they just patched the patch. Again.

Game update for 1.33
POSTED ON 03/15/12 04:45 PM
This game update includes the following changes:

Some art updates
Stability improvements
Sims saved with game update 1.32 that exhibit overly dark textures
24  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: Premium Content Fix on: 2012 March 13, 00:30:30
I always wondered what that extra package was about when I was extracting sets.
25  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: New Patch 1.31 on: 2012 March 07, 00:25:23
Does it look like CC items (objects and stuff, obviously mods have to be updated) still work properly with the patch?
