Title: Sim is jumping and loosing his plumbob
Post by: Adara on 2005 November 25, 11:35:57
I have a big problem in my game.
I have 3 Sims now, which "lost" their plumbob and jump.
The 3 sims are not related in any way.
I have Uni and NL and the NL-Patch installed.

When I enter the game everything seems normal. But when I select the sim and order him to do something, he will walk a few steps, then jump away and loose his plumbob.
First I took my downloads folder out of the game, to see if a download or hack causes this. But the problem was the same.
Then I went in debug mode and clicked "force error" on him.
The Error messages are attached to my post.
I tried to reset him, but that doesnīt solve the problem.
So Iīm really clueless, what could cause this problem. :'(

I had the same initial problem, but it was another error message with mine so possibly it'll be a different answer.
The only thing that fixed it was moving the sim out of the house...I deleted it as well, just in case.

I had similar experience, without error message, but the sim jumped each time I orderred him to perform an action.

It started after he was supposed to be kidnapped to the SS club; the limo came, but the policeman went back without going to my sim. Nevertheless, my sim was taken to the SS club, in his every-day outfit, he made some friends there, but I wasn't able to order him to go home.

I rebooted the computer, then enterred the lot, and he came back.

After that, he began to jump, the orders dissapeared, and his plumbob too.

The only solution I had was, to move him to the students bin, ruin his house, and move him to a new one.

All the problems were gone. At 11 PM came the limo again, and he was taken to the SS club regularly.

May be you should move him too  to another lot.

You may want to try getting the Clothing Event Fixer (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?action=dlattach;topic=1299.0;attach=1070) and the Hygiene Fixer (http://www.moreawesomethanyou.com/smf/index.php?topic=1535.0).

Is it me, or are an awfully lot of these errors with similar problems saying "missing neighbor for data access". Anyone know what that means, or is it irrelevant (knows nothing about how the game works, just curious :)

Have you put any items in their inventory and then taken them out recently?  I had this problem due to buggy inventory problems.

Yeah, I get errors about missing sims and out of world sims or something. I wondered if it might be connected to notownieregen.

I had the hygiene fix before and now installed the clothing event fixer. But the problem was still there

I could fix one sim with aging him to elder and then back to adult. Now he sims to be normal again.
