You don't need Seasons to run the latest Awesome.  You can update the game to 1.42 for free.

Alternatively, if you know how to edit, you can go back to the version of Awesome that you were using before and remove the timebomb.  If you don't know how to edit, don't try that or it might make your toilet implode.

2  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Pirates Unite to Create CC? on: 2012 November 04, 19:57:59
In the days of TS1, Maxis was not keen on modders.  It took forever for even the simple Tmog to be created and I can recall the amusement when they grabbed a 3rd-party developer and then trapped him under a non-dislosure agreement.  Modding in those early days was done with a hex editor.  So although the game was simpler, modding was not too easy for most.

I think that the OP is asking for something equivalent to the task of herding cats.  Having said that, I am grateful to them for the link to the granny SDK.  I am so old-fashioned that I had not thought to look for the dratted thing on a p2p system.  I have zero graphic talent but I love having the tools.

I won my tussle with paypal today so the $25 should now have transferred to you.  I cannot imagine Life Without MATY!

5  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Sims From Exchange on: 2012 August 03, 18:04:21
Have you tried going to your Sim's Exchange page via your browser, instead of using the Launcher?

If you do it that way, choose to Save File rather than Add to Game.

Municipality supported with a mere $32 but at least it's a start.  I'd miss my daily lurk if the site went down.

One should always associate one's self with a forum's etiquette before becoming a full-fledged member in order to look a little less like a speshul snowflake.  It's also known as LURK MOAR as has been pointed out, time and time again!

As someone else who has been in the Simming communities since the dawning of Sim time, I am often amazed at how many people do plunge straight in without lurking for a while.

Hook (who has been signing his online posts since before most of you were born)

Ah, those were the days.  Usenet, that's where we used to hang out before all these modern web-based forums sprouted and yes, we signed our online posts ;  it's not a 12-year-old foible at all.

If we all typed our words without taking any care to make them form sentences that mean what we wish to say to the majority of people who read them, then we would be unable to communicate effectively.

9  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Important notice from the GRAMMAR POLICE. Plz read. This means you. on: 2009 May 29, 14:44:39
There ya go, someone else who has told me what i am apparently feeling and apparently doing. And being just as tedious as me. Childish to make an 'I' standout, but not childish to pull up every typo? Again, okaaaay. And if i'm like that why do you feel the need to HAVE to say something.

LOL.  I don't know about everyone else, but for me?  It's because it's Friday afternoon, it's so hot that all the cats are drowsing in the shade, my hard drive is taking forever to defrag and it's more fun to prod the MATY forum than anything else right now.

10  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Important notice from the GRAMMAR POLICE. Plz read. This means you. on: 2009 May 29, 14:31:15
And maybe you should open your minds to the fact people can mean things differently to how you would assume.

Different "from", not "to".  There is so much that is grammatically wrong with that sentence.  Tut.

But really, this is degenerating into "Didn't!"  "Did too!"

11  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Important notice from the GRAMMAR POLICE. Plz read. This means you. on: 2009 May 29, 13:49:28
Your one type of person,

You're.  For "You are".

12  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Important notice from the GRAMMAR POLICE. Plz read. This means you. on: 2009 May 29, 13:47:30
Well i (shit no what was i thinking, so close),  'I' strangely enjoyed this.

LOL!  Yes, that's another thing that MATY is for -- enjoying in a strange way.
13  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Important notice from the GRAMMAR POLICE. Plz read. This means you. on: 2009 May 29, 13:08:39
You do realise how contradictive you all are though right? Because everytime you call me a name or tedious etc. etc, you really are also describing yourselves. Why can't anyone have a calm and mature conversation without all sorts thrown in? And i don't know how i have not shown understanding of your concept of how this site works. And i'm not even one of the type's of people that plaster smilies and 'txtspk' everywhere. All i like is friendliness.

Ah, that's where you make your mistake.  MATY is not friendliness, MATY is not calm and mature conversation.  MATY is grabbing a file, ripping into it, talking about the guts of the quivering beast, and then twisting them into a suitable pretzel for everyone's enjoyment.

Hang around for a while and lurk.  For about 3 years.  Then you might understand.

14  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Important notice from the GRAMMAR POLICE. Plz read. This means you. on: 2009 May 29, 08:54:40
Now that's what I call Awesome!  I'm going to have to have that as wallpaper.
15  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: Important notice from the GRAMMAR POLICE. Plz read. This means you. on: 2009 May 29, 08:24:55
As has been stated before, this is MATY.  To elaborate, it's More Awesome Than You, a title which should tell you something about the kind of people who are most active here.  It's not a standard buddy-buddy forum.  You don't come here to be loved or fawned upon or greeted with open arms, you come here for information and downloads to make your game More Awesome.

So, if you don't want to be nominated for any Sheeple Awards, first off you should lurk a lot before asking stupid questions, see how those who have posted most handle things, look to see if your question has already been answered, use a spell-checker if you're shit at spelling, and then close your eyes and plunge into the water.  If you don't want chunks bitten off you, don't play with the tigers.

As for RL disabilities or difficulties, that's a whole different subject and not relevant to forum life.
16  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: What would you call a Sims3Pack editor? on: 2009 May 25, 13:36:05
FART ( Fade's Awesome Readjustment Tool )

JAMS ( Jfade's Amazing Modifier for Sims )

FESTE ( Fade's Essential Sims Three Editor )
17  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: No censor hack for TS3 on: 2009 May 25, 12:59:11
Oh, I love this fight.  It's one of the best even for MATY; what I love most about it is that there is only one person actually fighting.  Got to give the guy kudos for that.

18  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: THE HORROR: The REAL TS3 Scoop As It Unfolds on: 2009 May 25, 08:47:01
Thank you for the analysis.  As one who has not yet downloaded the game, I find the discussions here intensely interesting, and this snippet in particular :

With TS3, you are forced to play how EA thinks you should play, and meet their goals, and so on. As a supplement to TS2, it is fine, and the designers of the visuals are to be praised. TS2 remains superior in terms of making the game yours, personally, and telling stories with multiple households, and designing Sim characters. EA adding more 'hoods won't fix the basic problem, here.

<snip>

Bottom line: It isn't open-ended like TS2. If you don't mind being forced to play legacy-style, and re more into designing and building, or if you are a casual player who won't be likely to tire of the mini-games, it is not a bad game, though NOT worth $50.

<snip>

is going to help me to decide whether to bother with the new shiny game or not.  I don't like to be forced into playing an open-ended game such as The Sims in one particular way so, unless the final release fixes the above gameplay issue, EAXis is going to have to do without the cash from people such as I.

19  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: No censor hack for TS3 on: 2009 May 25, 08:19:47
No, it matters not one jot.
20  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / Pudding Factory / Re: No censor hack for TS3 on: 2009 May 25, 08:12:15
It's entirely possible that both claims are valid.  Capable modders would most likely try for the no-censor first, since that's what people are clamouring for, so both might have been working on the same thing separately at the same time.  The Shaders_Win32.precomp in Shaders_Win32.7z is dated 23/05 at 14:25 and the one in Sims_3_Censor_Patch.rar is same date at 15:25.  So I guess whoever did the one in Shaders_Win32.7z  is the first to create it, but that doesn't mean that the other one is a thief or plagiarist.

hiii - i downloaded reloaded and i was confused at step to step - its said Unrar - means all files? then burned to cd but not yet installed

Open rld-sim3.rar with Winrar and it will open the whole set of rar files to let you extract the iso.

yes - there many files that having same names in folder

I think you'll find that the names are rld-sim3.rar, rld-sim3.r00, rld-sim3.r01 etc.  Have you got the default windows settings for your folders?  Try going to tools, folder options, View.  Un-tick "hide file extensions".  Then you'll be able to see that they are not all named identically.
