That's the name of the Best Toy Ever Discovered By Ferretkind.

Is this the toy you talked about?

Wasn't that supposed to be a fake vampire family? And yeah, she/it is hideous allright. I looks as though she has a black hole in her forehead. Is it a headband or a case of bad hairday/haircut?
78  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cliffs in Lot view? on: 2009 February 09, 10:35:25
rosess: I checked GoS and the sky mod you talkted about. Unfortunately there were no pictures. Otherwise, thanks for the tips. *goes on a downloading spree*

Btw: Does anyone here use Niol's pond water mod with M&G?
79  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Phail: Feb 09 on: 2009 February 09, 09:40:26
@Kyna: I like the white, sleek and modern look you've got going here. And as Emma said, those windows are great for that purpose. Not bad for a first entry.  Smiley
80  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Phail: Feb 09 on: 2009 February 09, 00:35:06
@Anebrd: That looks plain, but interesting. You've kept the color scheme in the blues and greens throughout, which I find is most pleasing to the eye. I bet I could slap some of my neighbourhood trailor trash on that lot. Nice job!
81  TS2: Burnination / The Podium / Re: Cliffs in Lot view? on: 2009 February 08, 22:08:35
I knew there was something fishy about the sky! I agree with you, this should be corrected. If I knew anything about modding I would be on it, but as it is now, I have no idéa how to do it. Let's just hope one of the modders out there is equally annoyed by the fact that the sky is more or less a blue blanket after installing seasons.
82  TS3/TSM: The Pudding / The World Of Pudding / Re: TS3 L&P on: 2009 February 08, 21:21:52
I know someone who works retail. She didn't even know about the delay yet. In fact, they have it in their back room, just waiting to be put on shelves.

If stores already have it... I doubt it's for any game-changing purpose, unless they want a patch on release.
That is just... scary. *Envisions EA as a gigantic vampire sucking all life out of it's merchandise*

Show of hands: How many of you want to bet that there is going to be another Sims 2 expansionpack before Sims 3 come out?
83  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Phail: Feb 09 on: 2009 February 08, 10:54:40
@Pbox: Your houses always look so real for some reason. I like the color scheme and the porch. The impression is very homely.

@loripanori: I enjoy modeern homes a lot, and I would say that your building does look modern. I especially like the halfwall on the front porch. I would never have thought to use that. The colors are really nice too. Wink I wonder, which expansionpacks or stuffpacks do you have?
84  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Phail: Feb 09 on: 2009 February 07, 18:49:56
This months house was far too enjoyable! I have made another verison, a forest cabin inspired one. This lot costs 60,094 simoleons, has two bedrooms, 1 babby room, kitchen and two bathrooms. I have all expansionpacks and all stuffa packs except Glamour life. Enjoy!

@Salixtree: That reminds me of my childhood! Lots of bears and lively colors. I like it! The balconies looks interesting. I would never use those colors in a sims house, but they're just right on that lot.

Found this gem of information on the games different options:
Alala Sims

It's actually quite extensive. But I still ask myself, why are there no pool diving boards? Is that such a hard thing to do? And apparently we can have sims with skin colors such as blue or pink, but they're pretty much good for nothing. No vampires, no aliens, nothing.

I made another house, old style this time around. All stuff packs but Glamour Life and all expansion packs. This one costs 104,475 simoleons. Enjoy!

An attempt at creating a modern, city house. I have all expansion packs and stuff packs, except Glamour Life Stuff. The lot has been cleaned and costs 126 792 simoleons. The top floor can be converted into another bedroom as the family grows. On to the pic's:

I don't know how to do it, but I would also like to see this. Cliffs look awkward  the way they are on lot. I also wish I could see the hood terrains in lot, like the farms, cement, and flowers

I actually would like to see this too. It is so annoying when the neighbourhood deco doesn't show on a lot properly. But I have no´i´dea as to how this should be implemented. On the cliff note, I think I saw a mod over at MTS2 once that was making the neighbourhood cliffs show in lot view. I'm not so sure about the flowers though.
90  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Phail: Feb 09 on: 2009 February 06, 11:54:40
@Emma: That house looks amazing as it is. It reminds me of playing Pleasantview way back when. Yionkable indeed!

@Strangel: I really like that entryway.  Smiley This one will do nicely in my Three lakes vacation subhood.

@loripanori: It's not often that I think I'm jealous of sims houses, but your lot made me wish I could crawl into the game. Great work!

@Bliss: Wow, you've pulled out all stops on this one! Great imlplementation of Appartment life, too. I love the modern, white one.

@Crunk: You have made a nice and homely cottage. I like the way you implemented that bay-window into the house.
91  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Phail: Feb 09 on: 2009 February 02, 19:40:37
Is the no path change rule in effect again this month? Grin

Noooooo!!! Consider the lot size, people. Think of the sims. Err... or not.
92  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Phail: Feb 09 on: 2009 February 02, 18:25:52
What are the special rules for this month's challenge?
Don't move or delete any of the existing trees?  Roll Eyes
Would'nt that be a hoot?

I agree with originalhalf, we should be able to convert from one foundation to the other.
93  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Phail: January 09 on: 2009 February 01, 22:01:36
I agree that the cabin needs to be redone. Although, I think that 225 Main Street (Pleasantview) is also a good candidate. I tried playing that lot once and almost ended up ripping my hair out by the roots. Any of those too will do.
94  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Phail: January 09 on: 2009 January 31, 20:50:31
@eevilcat: I like the color scheme, my favourite shade of turquoise!

A new video is up at a french fan site via Snootysims:
Sims 3

It's the usual crap, but there are some new features that they bring up. For example how you can edit the neighbourhood. One thing annoys me though. When the sims get in and out of the car they just show up on the sidewalk, like how the cars vanish. How come they haven't got any animations for such things?? LOL, they claim that the neighbourhood buildings (the ones you can't follow your sims into) are "individual discrete buldings". What the hell is discrete about them?! Aside from the fact that they are little more than a shoebox with a splash of paint on them. And lets not forget the adorable, hacking walk the sims have. [/sarcasm] I'm getting less and less interested in this game the more I see it.
96  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Phail: January 09 on: 2009 January 31, 15:48:02
While testing someone's hotel, I found a community lot of phail on Twikkii Island, Twikkii Beach Boardwalk. It had a lot of empty space, but worst was that the jewelry stands were put in backwards, so poor Kennedy couldn't even buy some earrings he desperately wanted!
Problem though, for people who don't own BV.
I have noticed that too. Maybe we could redo some of the vacation hoods too. I think some of the lots are ok, but I loathe the small buyable house in Twikki Island.

Tingeling, love the hippy house. peace!  Wink
*edit* Ting, that link sends me to some premium download site. And I don't see your download there.
Yep, that's rapidshare for ya! Just scroll down the page and you will see two buttons to press. Push the free user button and you'll get to wait a minute. After that they ask you to write a code in a box before you can download yhe actual file. It's a bitch, I know. I'll see if I can find a better file hosting site in the future.
97  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Phail: January 09 on: 2009 January 31, 00:05:47
I managed to find one of the lots I started working on this month. Apparently I was on someting, 'cause the Hippie House of Doom is pretty freaky. Anyway, enjoy.

Moar pic's here

Hippie House of Doom

Specs: I've got all expansion packs and stuff packs except Glamour life stuff. The house costs 117116 simoleons, so it is pretty pricey.
Caution! There are a few cc stuff in there, so paired with the fact that the months competition is over, it obviously doesn't qualify for the race. But I thought I'd share anyway.
98  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Phail: January 09 on: 2009 January 30, 22:18:34
I suck at doing community lots. Therefore it would be an interesting learning experience.

What's to suck at?  It's so easy!

You take stupid maxoid community lot.  Empty it of all content.  Add lots of rooms, courtyards, etc.  Fill with all manner of shopping, recreational, dining objects.  Don't forget a skillination area with bookshelves, a woohoo area with at least one decent sofa, if not a bed, hot tub, sauna, pool with slide, clothing store, grocer, games area...and put it on a beach (with the FT baskeball court thrown in for good measure).  Don't forget a nice landing area out front for the witches.

Then you do walls/floors/doors/windows same as you would for a house, using whatever skills of a decorator you might have.

When you are done, you have a one-stop comm lot for all your sims' needs - away with all that bouncing from comm lot to comm lot, just because you can't remember which damn mall has the cell phone machine.

That's actually a good idéa, to plonk down whatever you need on one lot. The problem for me is that I start with a lot, get bored after 30 minutes, scrap it and start a new one. If I don't have an idéa of how it should look in the end, I end up not finishing it. Hmm, that reminds me. I did make a community lot this month, I had just forgotten about it until now...
99  TS2: Burnination / Planet K 20X6 / Re: EAxis House of Phail: January 09 on: 2009 January 30, 19:14:02
Uni stuff might be interesting. Of course, that would require that we have Uni or that it is rebuilt in basegame. I just redid one of those dumb rentable houses in Sim State, House of Phail style. Still needs work and obviously doesn't qualify as I used a metric fuckton of cc:

(Uni blues lot)

That house looks interesting, Zazazu. I'm glad I thought of positioning the greek letters that way.  Wink

I agree with the sentiment that we should take on the challenge of redecorating some of the community lots in the game. Reason: I suck at doing community lots. Therefore it would be an interesting learning experience. Plus, who could say no to free lots built by someone else? (And hopefully awesomespec as well?) Anyway, I think we have enough contestants to do two threads a month.

When does TS3 reportedly drop again?  Mid-February?

Supposedly February 20th.
